Spartanburg Practical Shooting Association

The SPSA is an outdoor shooting range, with shooting bays that are carefully designed and carved out of the hillside, so that there are no chances for crossfires and there is plenty of dirt to stop even the most powerful firearm. It’s pretty well away from the nearby homes so I think they shouldn’t be too disturbed by the gunfire.
I was here for a sanctioned IDPA match (International Defensive Pistol Association) and the folks who ran the match did a fine job. Lots of space for parking, a reasonable amount of shade and stages that were well designed to challenge shooters. I still did an awful job, but I am improving!
