Average with high prices and poor service. I read some of the reviews before I came in but decided to try for myself. The food was ok, not that great by any means. I tried kufta kebab, and ordered one of their cocktail strawberry juices, a minute later the waitress comes back to tell me they don’t have it anymore but they have the mango one. I said mango is fine. The food came out shortly later but I guess They won’t refill your water unless you ask for it and my juice wasn’t here, I had to ask for it before I heard them starting it in the kitchen. The service is shotty, the kufta was a little dry and burned, and finally the price was too high for this kind of place.

This place is «slipping». My original lunch visits here were excellent. My most recent lunch visit – what a change! Place was not crowded-table I was shown to had food residue from previous diners(details folks!) They do not give you the delicious olive tapenade and pita bread pre meal that we have received on previous visits. Lunch portions are skimpier. The side salad that came with my gyro sandwich was in a ceramic container they use for holding catsup. Food was bland. The ice tea was so weak it tasted like water. Waiter could have cared less! Never came back to table to check if I needed anything or ask how everything was. Will not be returning.

This place was pretty mediocre. The service was very nice, that was a plus. My husband ordered the shish kebab and said the meat was very good, but the veggies were dry and lacked flavor. I got the grilled shrimp, they were grilled with the shell on I think? Not sure, but I you could really taste the grill on them– which some people like, I did not. The rice I got was flavorless and dry. Overall, the meal wasn’t anything worthwhile and I don’t think we would return.

The flavor balance they achieve on everything we tried was just fantastic. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend but make a reservation! We had the hummus and falafel for appetizers. The hummus is extra smooth and creamy with a lot of flavor. The falafel are super crispy outside and just the right texture inside. Flavorful without being overpowering. The tahini sauce is nicely balanced with lemon and garlic, and is not at all strong like most tahini can be. For main course my wife and I shared the Blue Fig Signature Dish which is a sample of chicken kebab, shish kebab, kofta kebab, and a lamb chop. It was served with a skewer of grilled vegetables and a bed of couscous. Flavors were outrageous. My favorites were the kofta and the lamb chop. My wife devoured the shish kebab and chicken. It was just the right size meal too. Can’t wait to come back!

The worst food for the money. They should pay you to eat there. Stay away. Three times I went here with my family and it was bad.

Delicious!!! I have always picked up take out from here but decided to dine in with my mom and sister. My sister is a vegetarian so this is a perfect place. The pita and olive spread was a great way to start our meals. My sister and mom got salads and loved them and I had the chicken shawarma and it was sooo good. :) :) :) I will definitely be coming back. We got to sit on the patio on a beautiful day too. It’s a relaxed place and the server was friendly and very nice. Also it’s close to a main road but tucked back a little and it’s nice and quiet and relaxed.

We went since they just won some award for SJ Magazine. Have to say we were really disappointed. Mostly because it was overpriced for the little amount of food that you got. Can you imagine a salad with no meat and lunch kabobs with 3 pieces of tough filet was $ 26! We had to go eat after because we were still hungry. Salad barely had dressing. Just really disappointed.

I think this is a great establishment. Lovely Mediterranean selection. Great lunch specials. Lamb chop portion on the small side for price(although I don’t know a place that isn’t to be honest so it’s ok) but everything tastes fresh and fantastic.

We were bored of the same old with the family and found this place online. The décor is nice and clean but small. They have done a good job with a strip mall store front. Definitely try the Mutabel appetizer. The eggplant is grilled so it has that smokey flavor and the humus is good. Their deserts are excellent and the Lebanese mint tea is fantastic. Maybe it was because we came early for dinner but couscous was clumpy and my rice was cold, although the lamb kabob was done well. We’ll try it again for sure.

I ordered the kofta with couscous on the side and my friend had the special salad with the strawberries. Both were very bland. I have had Mediterranean food all over the world, and this place is the worst I have ever had. The food was tasteless. I had to get hot sauce to finish my meal. The service was even worse. I was one of two tables at the restaurant and I had to physically get up to find a server that was in the kitchen because I needed refills on my water. Overall, bad service, bad food, I will not be returning.

What an absolutely wonderful hidden gem. This restaurant is tucked away on the corner of a plaza, just across Centerton from Wegman’s. With my workplace nearby, I’d seen it a ton of times and even looked at their Unilocal page. I just never got around to visiting. I’m so pleased I did today. I called ahead for a quick pick up order. I got the gyro and the knafeh for dessert to go. Though I can’t comment on the sit down service, the ladies on the phone and at the register were so polite I imagine sitting down here would be an excellent experience. The gyro was so good; the meat was tender and flavorful, the tzatziki was delicious. On the side was a tomato cucumber salad with a tangy vinaigrette. Both the salad and the vegetables in the gyro were totally fresh. However, the real star of the meal was the knafeh. It was like nothing I’ve ever seen or tasted. It was perfection. The place is small but so cozy and the décor was gorgeous. Make it a point to stop here and make sure to save room for the knafeh.

Wife and I looked for quiet Mediterranean place. This was it. Good appetizers. Not much atmosphere. Waitress did nice job. Good desert.

Worst hummus I’ve ever tasted in my life. In general, the food is low quality. The atmosphere is nice. But it doesn’t make up for the nasty food!

I would say my lamb kebab was great, my pistachio baklava was delicious and my wife’s shrimp was ok. Her desert was coconut cake, just ok. My appetizer was hummus with extra and it was delicious. Nothing was spectacular, and nothing was bad at all. I would say the real down side was when we were done with our meal, it appeared the owner had our waitress doing other tasks, possibly for Valentine’s Day tables. It appeared it took her a long time to come back around. And that took the fluff out of the sails for this place. I would go back for late lunch, but maybe not on such a busy day. Atmosphere was clean and fit the style of food.

Nice place, I went here awhile ago. Met up with some of my friends. The prices are litte higher for trhe portions. As I have been to mediteranean in philly, and bigger portions. Dont get me wrong, the presentation, service and food are good, but not for the prices. Return Factor: Maybe

Very good Mediterranean food. The seating is limited so you should call ahead. The wait staff is very hospitable and quick. The menu is not vast, which I prefer. The desserts here are very good accept for the rice pudding. I would not recommend it. It is also BYOB, which I love.

I have been meaning to write a review for a while but an experience today finally got me motivated. First the good: this is a favorite place. Home cooking, lamb chops succulent enough to dream about, fantastic juice drinks including my personal favorite lemon juice with mint and home made deserts with dining here all on their own. The bad: open until 10 really means open until 9. This evening I walked in the door at 9pm only to be told that the kitchen was closing soon and they would only serve me if I was taking carry out. I was looking forward to an enjoyable meal. Disappointed that I was not able to.

The food I had here was wonderful, however the service was awful. I came once with a friend one afternoon during the week. It was both our first time and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Our waitress was simply bland, no personality, didn’t seem interested in being there, and didn’t give a very good explanation about the menu. A few tips in any restaurant, fill the water without asking, wait until we put the menus down to ask if we’re ready, don’t ask if I want you to take my empty plate in front of me, and don’t just point to the desserts across the room when you’re trying to sell something. We also were sitting by the window where we had the view of the outside seating area. All we kept seeing was our waitress, along with others, sitting on the bench smoking cigarettes and on their cell phones. In my opinion that is just unprofessional and unacceptable. Even if you do have only have one table, you should be happy to have one and conscious of what they see. Maybe I am being too critical, however. On another note, I enjoyed the warm pita bread served with an olive spread to start at the table. Our appetizer was the deliciously creamy hummus with chickpeas, garlic, tahini and lemon. Third, was the Moussaka which I loved, and I do not eat eggplant often! It was a very nice size portion, also served with couscous. My friend had the shish kebab, which she liked and completed the dish. We both ordered the baklava for dessert. I like baklava, but if you’ve never had it before it is very sweet and dense. You could choose to have one big serving slice or three small pieces, so I chose the three small. I will definitely come back for the food and quaint, modern atmosphere. I’d like to think our waitress was just having an off day. I have hopes to enjoy another meal and outing soon at Blue Fig.

This place was excellent. The kebabs were tasty and the portion size was fitting of my appetite. The décor seemed modern for a casual lunch or dinner. There was plenty of parking and the lunch menu was affordable. The shish tavuk and kofta kabab were excellent. Pros: Affordable lunch menu Good food Good portions Halal Friendly owner Outdoor seating Available parking Cons: Waiting staff was average — Messed up on the bill(although they quickly fixed it after we pointed it out). Probably could have smiled a little more, she wasn’t very warm or welcoming(kinda like she was uninterested) In the end I would come here again for the food alone.
