Michaels

This Michaels is my go-​to spot whenever I need something crafty for work or life. Most recently, I hit them up for wedding supplies. I was very impressed by the range in products. I always thought of Michael’s strictly for craft supplies but found entire sections of wedding necessities, including a really nice variety of bulk thank you cards.
My mom always tells me you should never buy anything at Michael’s without a coupon, and she’s right. All you have to do is go to their website to see their weekly coupons, and you can present them at the counter right on your phone. I had a 50% off any item coupon that I used on a box of thank you cards. My husband was in line behind me with box number two, and as he tried to pull the coupon up on his phone, the employee helping me out said he could just use the coupon that was already on my phone — excellent!
I’d rather drive across state lines to visit this store than visit the AC Moore in South Philly. It is worth the trip!

I only go to michaels for framing services. I had 2 expensive art pieces custom framed here and they did a beautiful job, really handling it with care. I cannot say enough about how much I trusted the experienced framers with my art. All framing is done on the premises and each employee was professional. I’ll be using michaels for all my custom framing needs! And best part is that it’s pretty affordable too!

Upon walking in [to the dreary and oddly lit archaic store] this afternoon, there were no baskets to be found — not even with any of the store workers at the registers — which was a shame since I was hoping to buy small gifts for people. It’s hard to hold a bunch of small items with only two arms, by the way.
I was also a mission to find a 13×19 frame to hang a print. After wandering around, I finally found one — well above my head. Since no one in a Michaels uniform could be located in the general vicinity of the Frames section, I jumped, grabbed onto it and somehow threw it down to myself. There was no other way of getting the darn frame.
Lines were also long and slow, but that was probably just a side effect of the holidays. I definitely won’t be rushing back, though — holidays or not. AC Moore is a much better bet.

OK, Should have read reviews first before stepping into Micheals. Like Fellow Unilocalers, Mike M, & Kyle H., there is no Special discount even if 75% off, they hike up retail price, so when its discounted on their circular, looks like your getting a steal! You ARE NOT!!! Not only are you not getting a deal, the gentleman-​think was Pedro –manager of framing deptmt said it would take like 2 weeks to get glass, frame, border for the Diploma to be framed. I had went with my friend, she needed her son’s College diploma framed, so we went here, it was picked out, they would call her when it was ready, She had given me the receipt so I would pick it up for her, since I was down the road from it. That was Jan.21-month later, I was on my way home, decided to call, as I came into their parking lot, WELL-​Oh there was a problem with the frame, sent it off again, «I stated, How come no one called to inform us!!!» WTF. so glad this wasn’t a gift, or deadline, otherwise she would be screwed! I have gotten numerous pictures framed, never had such problem, & if there was, they would have contacted us. Well. this past week the called my friend, so she let me know, & I picked it up, when they apologized, still too late. DO NOT GO here, prices are ridiculous, especially if you need it in timely matter, may be lost, or months later before your item is ready! The prices are Astronomical! Don’t go!!!

You are going to think you have found the golden ticket when you get the 75% off framing coupon. You are going to go in with your photo or whatever spend 20 minutes designing your lay out and then get your total. Then you will be shocked when the price is about three times what you guess it might be, and this is after their 75% off framing coupon! What a hoax. You will then leave hating Michaels and go to Frame and Art on route 70 east, pay 75% less than the Michaels total and have your framing done in a week or so.
Same story goes for A. C Moore. Take my word for it.

When AC Moore can’t meet my needs, I come here. The store is usually well kept and has a nice selection of merchandise. This store in particular has a great selection of pre-​made arrangements available for purchase. I’ve used their custom framing services, which are pricey and, frankly, slow, but worth the final results. Just don’t expect to have something back in a week or two. No frequent shopper plan either.
