Rollin’ in my 5.0 with my ragtop down so my hair can blow. So most of you know that the Blue Bastard(a restored 93LX vert) is now road worthy thanks to Boosted and their guys. Not that Dan couldn’t do or fix what needed to be fixed, but I wouldn’t let Dan buy a Heli Coil to fix what he needed.(I won’t lecture you all on car parts or tools.) So Donnie and the NKOTB, totally kidding, took care of the Devil in less than a month. A month you say? Well, I was in no hurry, the BB(Blue Bastard) has been sitting in my garage for over a year, so a month wasn’t a big deal to me. Donnie has a Dyno, alignment shop, lift shop and all kinds of cool shit that car nuts like Dan and I appreciate(and envy might I add). Every night, Donnie and the gang made sure that each and every mustang that was on his lot made it into the garage for safe keeping. Donnie does it all from Saleen’s, Steeda’s, Shelby’s, GT’s to LX’s from 1965 – 2011. Rebuild, restore, engine work, body work, blowers to tranny’s…all for a REALLLLLLY reasonable price. So, I drove down to the shop to see the BB one day and I asked Donnie what the damage was. He was afraid to tell me because he thought I was one of those bitch wives that screams bloody hell at their husband for spending money on his ride. Not me, I encourage speed and muscle. I am the one that encourages the car purchases. You can’t take your money with you when you go. The total bill was just at $ 500. That was for 10 hours of work, welding of the subframe connectors, computer tune, alignment and Dyno.(Yes, this was a great deal.) The best part of this story is that Donnie told my husband to take the car home and to come back next week to pay him. He said he didn’t have it written up and it wasn’t a big deal. Whatttttt? This woulda never happened in Miami. I of course was the diligent wife and went back the next business day with some cash. Donnie was happy and so was Dan.
