Excellent fresh Mexican food! Not cheap like Taco Bell but well worth every penny@@@@

Flavors were good and menu options were unique. I’ve eaten Mexican in many places, including San Antonio, Las Vegas, Oklahoma City, Houston and Denver, but Burrito Loco still managed to surprise me. Too much salt that tightened me up is the only reason they did not get 5-stars. It’s a dive, but the food is really good. The Queso dip is a must try.

My first visit was a four star affair, everything was perfect. Delicious food. Friendly, attentive service. I was just blown away! My second visit was three stars. The food was good, but the owner charged me for a beer that I didn’t order. I brought this to her attention and it was corrected, but… that was an obvious«mistake» that left a bad taste in my mouth. Today’s late lunch was two stars… and I don’t see myself going back again. What happened to make me change my mind? Several things — all negative. Initially, I was impressed by the amount of meat and fish in the tacos that I purchased, the cleanliness level, and the overall TASTE of the food. All three have diminished since I went there for the first time in 2014. Their sanitation rating went from a 101.0 to a 96.0. Clearly this is not the end of the world but definitely trending in the wrong direction. The owner was far from friendly. She made several diners wait to order as she provided Spanish lessons to a nice looking young male customer who was clearly doting on her attention, and vice versa. Hungry guy, me, was«no me impresionó.» I was starving, so I ordered two diablo tacos and two fish tacos today. There was hardly any protein in any of the tacos. They primarily consisted of cabbage and tomato bits with a little dressing squirted artistically to make them pretty. A pretty presentation doesn’t fool my taste buds, and the flavor was completely absent. The fish, what there was of it… and there wasn’t much — tasted oddly metallic. I don’t have to be from Cali to know that these are substandard tacos and not worth the $ 5.95 for each order or $ 14 total. I don’t mind paying for quality, but folks, this was not worth the money. One thing that I noticed after looking back at my photos from 2014, was that in 2014 Burrito Loco used shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese on my Diablo tacos… and there was plenty of steak. In 2016, they just sprinkled some grated mozzarella cheese(the kind that you sprinkle on pizzas for God’s sake) as their cheese contribution to the steak tacos. I find that lame that they’re so obviously trying to cut corners, but all that they’re doing is losing«flava,» and ultimately… me as a customer. Sorry for the changing review, but I calls ‘em as I sees ‘em, and I don’t see myself going back.

Loco tacos! Amazing!!! I stopped by this place on a road trip headed to SC. Saw the reviews and decided to swing in. It was a few minutes off the interstate but TOTALLY worth the re-route! I highly recommend!!! Just do it… treat yo self!!!

A resounding«YES» to this restaurant. We stumbled on it one day in a total mood for Mexican, and we have been back 3 – 4 times/month and never leave disappointed. The food tastes fresh, custom adjustments are never a problem, and we don’t ever leave any food behind. A well-deserved 5* rating!

Decent food, small portions for the price. They accommodated my picky family’s special requests and everything but the cheese dip(queso) was above average in taste but the portions were small. I’ll be back to try some of their special creation burritos and give an updated review.

We’ve been eating here every couple of months or so for about a year now. Great food. Tastes very fresh. Took a friend here for lunch the other day and she loved it. My only complaint is that while other diners were offered refills on chips at their tables, we seemed to have been overlooked a few times as the waitress made the rounds.

Oh. My. Goodness. Delicious is an understatement. We’ll never go to Moe’s again! My kids were fighting over the kids chicken after they finished off their quesadillas. I had the shrimp burrito and I couldn’t help myself, it was huge and I ate almost every bite. My husband had the surf and turf burrito and his plate was practically licked clean. We will be back.

We just moved to Mooresville and gave this place a try and it is delicious! California Burrito is our favorite! We’ve tried several items off the menu and all of it has been great.

Had a burrito for lunch. It was good but not great. Overall it is pretty pricy compare to others around the area. I am not ready to shred out 12 – 14 bucks just for a drink and a burrito for lunch. Try the taco truck down the road. Better food, better price.

We hit up Burrito Loco after finding out that they were owned by the same guys that run Prickly Pear. We loved Prickly Pear and we figured it was a safe bet we would love Burrito Loco. We weren’t looking for a large scale chow down so we got a couple of burritos and an order of churros to hold us over until dinner. The burritos were good(not great) and the churros were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be checking them out again when we are in the area and give something else on the menu a second shot to blow us away.

One of our regular lunch spots when in town. Fresh ingredients and a good amount of food. All the food is good but the California burrito can’t be beat!

The atmosphere is all wrong for the prices My queso was good heavy on the cheese My sons chicken taco was bland No ground beef option Whoevers in charge needs to take a breath and step back Look at the competition, pricing, menu, staff, and a fresh marketing idea I felt like noone cared I don’t get that feeling often I run my own business With that location I would make that business so profitable it would be ridiculous The restaurant industry is a vicious animal and the complacency I see in some restaurants is amazing to me

Absolutely the BEST Mexican in 28115! They do it RIGHT! I love that it is a blend of traditional favorites and fresh, inventive use of ingredients as well! I have placed several large orders for delivery and the ladies always rave about the meals that come from there and there are some that are unable to do spicy and others that want to burn the place down with fiery sauces and both are very happy with the level of heat(or not!) in the salsa and sauces! Delivery is on time and includes a side of chips and salsa as well as cutlery, which we all appreciate! I also really like the size of the containers, they are not the huge squares, more of a reasonable rectangle so the leftovers of the generous portions don’t take up a lot of room in the fridge at home. The staff is always so friendly and helpful and make sure they have the order understood and clarify questions, which I deeply appreciate when I’m doing 20+ individual orders for my events! Most kids menus are deep fried this or ranch dipped that, the marinated chicken kids menu choice is great for any child that likes ‘real food’ and I appreciate that Burrito Loco isn’t just doing junk on a kids menu! We have never eaten in, always had delivery, but we do walk in to place the order and pay. It is neat, clean, good size for booths and tables are not placed too close together. ABSOLUTELY fantastic and so thrilled to have this restaurant in town. BRAVO!

This place is located in a small strip mall on E. plaza drive. It’s right next to Porter paints and a Caribbean grocer. There are about 3 tables on each side that seat approx 4 adults comfortably. Upfront is a small area where a live musician comes in to play. The menu is on the wall, you order and pay then your food is brought to you within minutes. I believe each entrée includes chips and salsa which is some of the best salsa I’ve had! I’ve had a lot, trust me. It’s not chunky but has just enough substance and spice to be scooped up on the warm tortilla chips they give you. I have had both the steak and fish tacos both are outstanding! The flavors of the meat go just right with the sauce drizzled on top. They use 2 corn tortillas for tacos that are«glued» together by cheese yummm.(Mouth waters) Hubby loves the surf and turf burrito which has shrimp and steak. The staff is quick, efficient and friendly. There are often specials on groupon and living social. They also serve $ 5 margaritas

Sam J was right. Decided to try it tonight based on his review a couple of weeks ago His review prompted me to give it another try. Went probably a year ago and enjoyed it. Went again tonight and it was excellent. Ordered the Chilpotle Sandwhich along with a side of chips and salsa. Not used to chilps and salsa being a side because in most Mexican restaurants, t’s a given although most often, the results are poor at best. The Chilpolte Steak Sandwich was great. By the same toten, what struck me was the quality of the salsa than I ordered with the Chips. Some of the best I have experienced in the Lake Norman Area. Nothing fancy but it was great food and close to actual Mexican Cusine

Many of you might be surprised to learn this is owned by the same great people who own Prickly Pear and Verde. I just love the burritos here! They are huge, fresh-fresh-fresh and delicious. I have been here for both lunch and dinner and I always leave happy and full. I observed their soda machine, in my opinion, gives diet sodas a weird flavor. I can’t put my finger on it, but I dumped and retried both diet options and just couldn’t drink it. It was carbonated, seemed to have enough syrup but had this really weird taste. I tried their brewed tea, same thing. I think their water is just poorly filtered… So skip the charge for a drink. You walk up to the counter where you order and pay, then when it’s ready someone brings it to your table. They have nachos, tacos, quesadillas, etc… But I always go with their burritos. Quality ingredients, freshly made and sufficiently filled every time. I am a fan!!! Love love this place… Tip: they do groupon or LS deals, and I think also deals in entertainment books. Each meal also comes with a side of chips and salsa.

Best fish tacos ever! Fresh chips and salsa as well. Paid $ 13 for lunch for two including drinks. I highly recommend this place for fish tacos. One weird fact: They charge $ 0.27 for maybe 2 oz salsa. Odd I thought… it is just like paying for catchup for your fries.

Hidden gem in the middle of nowhere North Carolina. I lived in Mooresville for a 3 Month stint for an internship. Overall the area lacked awesome food. Typical chain restaurants plagued the area. This place though had good fresh food at an even better price. On top of the food they have beer and beer is great. On top of beer they have live music every week and live music is excellent. So yes this place started at good, went to great, and topped off at excellent.
