Three stars only because the staff was very friendly, but this place has a handful of what I will generously call«opportunities for improvement». 1. Atmosphere/Character. Too bright and open. Doesn’t feel like a bbq joint at all. Feels more like a big office supply store. Needs more stuff on the walls, more stuff to give it a country or folksy or bluesy feel. And tone down all that white with some darker colors. Maybe dim the lights a little. 2. Sounds. So the whole time we were there, they played awful top 40 pop-dance stuff, and entirely too loud. Sorry, but that does NOT fit with bbq. It fits with groups of giggling 6th grade girls– that’s not your target audience. Bbq joints should play blues or country or Americana, period. 3. Food. It certainly wasn’t bad, but there was nothing memorable about it, either. That’s probably ok in Minnesota or New Hampshire. It’s NOT ok in a state famous for its bbq, like NC. Step it up a notch, Chef. Also, why only baby back ribs? Why no spare ribs? And why do I have to pick a sauce when I order? I want the sauces on the table so I can sample and decide, and so *I*, rather than someone in the kitchen, can decide how much sauce goes on my food. 4. Serve time. The servers were very friendly, but the food took way too long to come out, especially for our simple order. The food should hit the table immediately when the appetizer is done, not 15 minutes later. And it wasn’t even busy, really no excuse. Despite all this, I’d genuinely like to see this place make some changes and succeed. It’s a very convenient location for us. And I always root for local businesses to make it.

Terriable service. Terriable food the ribs were small and tough and a little burnt. The pork flavorless at best got my «sauce» on the side. It took over 30 mins to revive food with no explaniton. Also could here the owner loudly complaing about his staff, who were terrible, and the fact his business was failing. All and all I had a terrible experience.

I’m currently not in the area and eating BBQ somewhere else, and reminded how much I enjoy the BBQ at Ribs on the run. This happens whenever I try BBQ someplace else, it’s impossible to find a better pulled pork sandwich.

The new place is very large clean space. The help very attentive. To start off they were out of fried pickles. The tap beer wasn’t «cold». Wings were crispy but garlic parm had no flavor they were tasteless as were fried mushrooms — flavorless. The wings were served in a puddle of grease — it was not sauce. The BBQ and ribs were both good as they were at the old location. But the philly cheese steak was extremely dry & much too salty. It was kinda like they tried to revive it in salty gravy and then killed it again under the broiler. It’s got potential but they better do something because ribs alone can’t pay the rent in such a large location. They should sample the menu at Duckworth’s to see how it’s done!

First time in there for dinner tonight, it was pretty empty, maybe one other couple in there at 6pm on a sun night. I’ve heard in the past that they have some of the best ribs around but I’m love ordering pulled pork at bbq spots, so that’s what I got. I ordered the bbq pork dinner which was almost 11 dollars. They do give you a lot of pulled pork but honestly after eating at many bbq restaurants in NC this wasn’t that good. It wasn’t that moist and not very flavorful. You get 2 sides and I chose macaroni and cheese and baked beans. Upon my first bite of the Mac and cheese, I thought it tasted familiar and I’m almost 89% sure that it’s Stauffers frozen Mac and cheese. It’s def not homemade, which most good BBQ places have. The baked beans I was told by the waitress were homemade and they were pretty good. So for almost $ 11, I wasn’t impressed and def will not be going back anytime soon for good BBQ. They don’t even have the vinegar based BBQ sauce or any other BBQ sauces on the table like an authentic BBQ spot would have. The honey BBQ that I had tasted like it came out of a bottle. My husband got the sampler which has 4 or 5 ribs, 5 oz of pulled pork, 5 wings and 1 side for $ 14.99. His side was onion rings and they were very good. The ribs were mediocre and didn’t have a lot of meat on them. Still don’t think it was worth the money. So all in all, if your gonna go and you’ve heard about their ribs, I would suggest you stick with the ribs and onion rings or baked beans. Glad I tried it but honestly probably won’t be back. I Wish them good luck in their business and hope they improve on their other meat dishes and side dishes.

I had heard great things about their ribs from friends who had been to their former location but never made it there myself. I picked up a rack and a half(feeding 2) tonight, trying both the hickory BBQ and honey BBQ flavors, waffle fries and baked potato salad to go. All were terrific. The ribs were some of the best I’ve had — super tender and falling off the bone without being greasy or too loose. The ribs themselves were very meaty and very well trimmed. Sauces were great and I’m looking forward to trying others next time. The baked potato salad was fantastic — like a loaded baked potato made into potato salad. Perfect! I took advantage of my short wait and got a $ 2 draft(Monday special) which was served in an icy pint glass. The new location seems like it’s in a great spot in the shopping center across from Lowes on River Hwy/150. They’re still settling in with some additional TVs to mount, etc. and a permanent sign will help let everyone know they’re there.

Over priced boiled pulled pork and Kraft Mac & Cheese. Greasy skinny chicken wings that cost $ 1 a piece.

After driving from ATL we wanted some Carolina BBQ-maybe the ribs are good but the pulled pork & sides were below average. The BBQ sauce tasted as if it had been poured out of a grocery store bottle. It was very disappointing. Will try the food truck in Huntersville next time.

Driving thru, stopped in for BBQ. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with potato salad. It was so good!!! The salad was amazing. BBQ was good, not great. It was a little mushy, but had great flavor. Service is casual but good! Only 4 stars because the pork was a little mushy. Agreed with comments below. Definitely need to add some kind of vinegar sauce.

Really good food. Had the pulled chicken sandwich and it was great. My wife had the pulled pork and it was equally great. Same great food when it was down Brawley except in big bright restaurant. They now serve beer as well. Only suggestion for improvement need to have a vinegar sauce for the pulled pork. Will definitely be back!
