Famous Toastery – Mooresville

Do NOT eat here if you have a food allergy! They are going to end up Killing someone!
We checked before we agreed to eat here if they could accommodate a food allergy, they said yes. The waitress checked to ensure that the spice was not in the dish. After eating the dish it was clear that they had added the spice in. The manager did apologize to me as I was dying as she dropped the bill off for us to pay. She was more concerned about us paying for the bill then me going into anaphylactic shock. So eating here resulted in a trip to the emergency room.

This is one of three locally-​owned restaurants we go to in Mooresville specifically to eat breakfast. Hubs likes their traditional eggs benedict. My daughter orders their cali benedict which always has more slices of avocado than she can eat so I end up getting the extras. I love their eggs and corned beef hash (which looks and tastes homemade). The grits have that «instant grits» consistency tho so I probably won’t order than again. And coffee is a little weak (according to hubs).
Service has always been good. Food has always arrived quickly. We’ve never been there when it’s packed so we’re always seated right away. I’ll definitely keep returning for breakfast and want to try out their lunch and dinner options someday as well.

This place is always PACKED when we go which is usually on Sunday for brunch, and I can see why. Continuously have had great service and amazing food! The staff is very attentive and friendly, and the owner always greets us warmly at the front. The best option for breakfast and lunch if you are ever in Mooresville!

I LOVE this breakfast spot! Excellent healthy options… egg whites omelet is yummy! The breakfast potatoes are also super tasty. The price is a little steep but the portions are great and the food is fresh. Service is also excellent! I’ve been to a few breakfast spots in the area and this is the best.

Tasty food, plenty of yummy+healthy options and very friendly service. I would specifically mention that their staff strives for the best!
I would love to visit this place again when we drive to Mooresville :)

1. Located in a very good location with lots of parking spaces. Unlike the Davidson college location, the restaurant has a lot more space. Nice.
They got us a table almost right away. Pleasant experience.
2. Waiter greeted right away and got us our beverages.
3. Ordered an omelet with no bacon. Side fruit salad with rye bread. What I got was… an omelet With bacon, potatoes side and white toast. Can you get any worse than this? Got everything wrong. Food was good but man… Do not specialize your orders cuz they won’t get it right. I did not complain when I got my food but I pointed out to the waiter about the wrong order afterwords. He was nice enough to give me a free meal since and apologized sincerely. Very nice customer service. Very nice.
4. Check out process took a long time. We were at the register and for some reason no one could figure out how much the bill was and it took some time to finally come up with a final $ amount.
5. Would I go back there? Maybe. Food was good but if I have to make modifications to my order (in which I do all the time) then I am not sure if they will get it right.
Maybe I should write it down and hand them a my order so they won’t forget it. Maybe?
Now, I want to give them a benefit of doubt cuz… They were very nice. Outstanding customer service. And since they just opened up at this location… mgmt team might be new. I am sure it is very challenging to open a restaurant in a high demands/​expectations.
You should try this place once at least.
