Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Center

BEWARE! DO NOT GET YOU CAR SERVICED HERE!
I brought my Volvo in for a yearly emission test. Service manager told me that bushings on my car are worn and he could not pass the car. Tuffy told me that the wheels are going to fall-​off.
I had the car in at the dealership two months ago to have the power steering fluid and line replaced. I was told that bushings were wearing but it did not pose a safety problem. It would only affect tire wear. Tuffy told me that it would cost $ 550 to replace bushings or I could get something else fixed for $ 500 to get an emission pass. I called the dealership and talked to the service department. Car has been serviced at dealership since purchased new and they know the car. I was told the bushings do not pose a danger and they assured me that the wheels are not going to fall off the car. I was told that if Volvo believed the car to be dangerous Volvo would not have allowed me to leave the dealership. Car was taken to dealership and passed emission test.
I believe Tuffy was trying to upsell me and rip me off. This location is very unprofessional and unethical. BEWARE!

I’ve dealt with Chis And Don for 8 years and find them to be honest and very professional I would recommend them for your auto needs Not only do they do good, quick work they guarantee it as well I have recommended friends and neighbors and not one of them has said anything bad and they still continue to do business as well with them

Got charged an arm and a leg for a problem that I was told was fixed, and was not!
Manager is EXTREMELY unprofessional and sent a personal attack email after I disputed the charges.
Ridiculous– do NOT trust them.

Not only does this Tuffy do service to cars, trucks and SUV’s (like oil changes and engine work) they also have welding services.
Ok, ok, so why is it such a big deal to have welding services? When you are a die hard car junkie like my husband and myself, it truly comes in handy, especially when buying welding equipment is OUT OF THE QUESTION. (Dan)
Having a knowledgable welding person, that doesn’t rip you off is priceless, especially these guys at Tuffy who not only specialize in welding, but STAINLESS STEEL welding. And yes, there is a difference people!
Aside from their welding praise, Tuffy is fairly reasonable in the oil change price and stuff. For my Jeep which is a 5.7 Liter Hemi, costs less than $ 20 for an oil change and tire rotation! The dealership charged me (the last time I went there) in excess of $ 60 for both. So, case closed!
These guys are not the 30 minute Jiffy Lube, but for good reason. They take their time to make sure it gets done right!
