Greed does seem to be a factor with Pentair. no wonder their stock just hit a 52 week low, it will go lower (I am a Day Trader).
Looks like karma is about to grind Pentair into the earth (diatomaceous earth of course).
But their quality is top notch… watch them belly up, and then a few competitors will come in and sell the same product for about half the cost.

If you like replacing your pool heater every four years Pentair Pool products are for you! We had to replace a less than 4 year old DEFECTIVE pool heater. Instead of replacing the defective heater we were offered the option to purchase a new one at cost. The Sales Rep, Art, would not speak with us or communicate in any way. When you try to call the main office you are given a runaround. Stay far away from this company, they do not stand behind their products.

The customer service tech line will take you well over an hour on hold to get through (tried 3 times). Very poor support line call center answer time for their products. This company really would rather deal directly with wholesalers and dealers and not the public. Be prepared to deal directly with Pool stealerships to take your money without any guidance from Pentair. If Pentair has a response why there support line is so poorly maned would love to here it here.
