Dr. Yatsuda is a true professional. I have been going to him for 9 years and he is outstanding. When my insurance changed and I had to go elsewhere, I was reminded of the how detail oriented and thorough his exams are. He is so helpful, has a wide variety of eyeglass frames and has been spot on with fitting my contacts. He does special fittings and repairs as well. Needless to say, I am going outside my insurance plan to ensure my eye care is the best.

Wouldn’t give eyeglass adjustment to SMC student. I even offered to pay him for the adjustment. Not hating on him as he’s not my home optometrist.
But I will say that for a town where I have found that all local businesses supportive of SMC students, I’m very disappointed. Smaller businesses are supposed to care more, but I’ve never been turned down by a LensCrafters.

Does not perform all the exams he should according to age, poor frame selection. This is a one man operation so most calls go to the answering machine.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Yasuda for as long as I can remember and still see him today even though I don’t live in Moraga anymore! You really can’t beat the level of professional service you receive from him.

Dr. Yasuda is a great optometrist and I love supporting Cal alums! He provides a very thorough exam and we always get our glasses and contacts very quickly. His prices are very reasonable as well — no more expensive than ordering contacts online or buying glasses from one of the big chain stores. He has a good selection of glasses too, both regular and sunglasses.

I just received my 3rd (I think — if not 4th) check-​up and pair of new-​prescription glasses from Dr. Yasuda’s office and I could not be happier. My glasses came in 3 days earlier than the expected 7, and he accommodated me for an eyeglass-​fitting appointment the day right after he called to say that they arrived. He is definitely patient and knowledgeable.

Dr Yasuda is a great resource in Moraga. He is thorough and patient, explaining each test so that it is easily understood. We will continue to visit him annually for eye exams and glasses/​contacts.
