This was our most expensive stay on the entire 2 week trip. The deluxe cabin was nice but when we got up to shower in the am there was no hot water. When I told the front desk staff they did not offer to comp us a meal or take a percentage off of our room. They said«sorry». The room rate to quality was ridiculously expensive. We ate at the Dining room and my husband told the lady taking names it was for a family of four, then took down a few other names, when they got seated before us I walked up to ask why we had not been called and she told me she didn’t take reservations, that my husband had misunderstood. We were literally waiting in the chairs in the lobby to be seated, she could see him and my children. Then our breakfast was nearly 20.00 a person and the food was lousy. My son had the buffet and the food was cold. The best part of the stay was that it was close to the south entrance of the park, and the wait staff while slower than molasses were from different countries so had interesting stories to share. Would not recommend this place at all.

Nice resort but like the others say, you have to be aware going into it. It is very close to Yellowstone. We stayed here about 4 nights. Very little amenities. Great views as it’s right on the snake river. Cool nights, even in mid-summer. Yes it is pricey. It’s Wyoming. The best destination in the US! Get ya some!

If you are looking for a place to stay that is a reasonable price, nice and convenient to either go south to the Tetons or north to Yellowstone, this is the place. You have four choices here, the lodge, furnished cabins like a motel room, a small one room cabin with nothing furnished or a campground. We chose the motel room cabin. These are refurbished cabins that are immaculate with either a king or two doubles. You can also get one for a higher price with a frig and a microwave. The cabin was spacious, with a king bed, chairs and table, coffee pot, nite stand and a dresser. You can opt out of maid service and save $ 5 a night. We were there for three nights and it worked just fine. If you need anything like more coffee or towels you just call the front desk and they will bring them to you. The only disappointment was the wifi service. It’s only available in the lodge and if you can get it, is horrible. Worst than dialup. They have a restaurant with good food and a convenient store with gas. We’ve been to the parks many times and have stayed at most of the Lodges which are all nice but, in my opinion this was the most convenient.

Know what to expect and it’s fine. Don’t expect a highly connected business hotel. Don’t expect a full village — there’s a bar, a restaurant, and essentially a gas station convenience store. We stayed here for the easy access to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons and it was great for that, only 2 miles from the entrance to Yellowstone and maybe 20 minutes to the grand Tetons. The cabins are sturdy and simple, though actually pretty comfortable. No TVs, and the rooms and grounds get verrrrrry dark at night(if you’re arriving at night, the roads can be pretty confusing but the deskmen were helpful). It was a great place for us to crash after spending the day hiking. The restaurant isn’t great, and it’s pretty expensive. We had dinner here and entrees ran about $ 25 – 30 each and include things like trout and prime rib. The food was fine but it was expensive for what we got. They try to be much fancier than they are, which can be frustrating, but it was pleasant enough. Breakfast was a different story. It looks a very long time to get our food(pancakes for me, and the standard breakfast for friends which is 2 eggs, bacon, etc.) the food was cold when it came, though I think we were lucky, since the table next to us waited even longer than we did for a simple bowl of oatmeal. The breakfast food also tasted much worse than dinner. I’d say avoid eating breakfast here if you can, bring your own granola bars and things and just stick to that.

This review is for Headwaters Lodge and Cabins(and dining room) at Flagg Ranch Village, located between Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. There is also a huge campground here and a small general store and gas station. Important point — they advertise free wi-fi. There is indeed a Wi-fi network on the site — trouble is does NOT ever connect to the internet! USELESS !! We both stayed and ate breakfast and dinner here for 2 nights in late July. As has been notd other places, if you’re staying in the«premium» cabins, they are NOT cheap. For than matter, neither are the standard or deluxe rooms. I’m really glad we opted for the premium cabins, because if you don’t, you get a view of the road or other cabins and lots of non-landscaping. With the premium cabin you have a wonderful view towards the Tetons, the is worth the price at sunset. These cabins are laid out like a standard motel room — except with gobs more space! Really nice décor and wonderful beds and pillows add to the pleasure. Still pricey at $ 250+/ night, but I heard some guy griping about paying over $ 400 for a room at Old Faithful that didn’t sound nearly as nice. There is no screen on the french doors, so you can’t open and cool the place off, or the mosquitoes will take over. I’d have given this place a higher rating if it wasn’t thay they are seriously unfriendly. I haven’t checked into anywhere so rude in years. And it is a LONG walk from your car, pushing a glorified wheelbarrow, to get your luggage to the room. No offer of any porter service. And that was after learning the check-in dude had given us incorrect directions as to how close we could park.(NOT) Then there was the wait staff. Some were great, but on the 2nd night we had this overly«friendly» fellow who thought he could charm me by asking my age! Then he thought I might want to kiss him and he actually sat down at our table! Don or Ron, whichever, was awful !! If there had been choices of some place else nearby to go, I’d have walked out. The food was good — quite good, once one asked for less oil. The first dinner I ordered the trout, which was floating in a sea of oil on arrival, which i had to Drain. The 2nd night they were also out of ½ the things on othe menu! No salmon, no oysters, no ribs. And the supposed wide selection of breads was down to potato rolls — stale at that. Bottom line — closer to Tetons than Jackson Hole and not as touristy. Not nearly as terrific as they think they are.
