Tyler is super easy to coordinate with regarding job specifics, pays close attention to details with regards to gardening and yard maintenance, and is a super nice guy!!! Also, he is super flexible on scheduling via text messaging… We’re normally on a every other week basic maintenance scheduling on every other Thursday, and lately we’ve have had to reschedule on a day’s notice… which is great for us!!! We highly recommend DiSalvo Design and Maintenance for your gardening and first time hauling needs!!! Wouldn’t worry too much about ‘that’ single bad review that’s below. Give Tyler a shot!!!

DiSalvo Design and Maintenance was referred to me by a friend, I was looking for outdoor lighting and overall inspiration for my front and backyard. Tyler was friendly and professional he gave me great suggestions on stone, plants, trees and lighting. Right away I knew Tyler takes pride in the work he does, it’s rare to find people who care that much about someone else’s home.
Tyler and his crew started the project and to my surprise Tyler was hands on the entire time with his crew. During the project some of the stone delivered had a different color that was mismatched and Tyler took quick action and had the correct stone delivered the same day!!! Tyler also suggested a different lighting for the front and back and I am SO glad I went with his suggestion, it looks BEAUTIFUL.
I’m not one to write many reviews but I felt so great about my experience and the quality of the work that I needed to share.

I called tyler one day to come out and do my low voltage lighting in my raised planter bed and he first did not get the right lights and then overcharged me for the transformer box as i went to home depot and found he overcharged me $ 200! When i told him of this he blew up on me saying you get what you pay for then he said ill take ot all down and return it is that what you want i dont need your business. I am an older lady and i felt scared and tooken advantage of. Never would i recommend or call him back again bad temper on that boy

Called for a concrete removal out of the blue and he was more than happy to do it right away! Gave me a great price and was pretty quick with the labor. Cleaned up all the small bits as well! Would definitely call again!

In summer 2014, we decided to get rid of our lawn. DiSalvo Designs was recommended to us from a neighbor who hired them to improve the gardens, fences and other yard work. Tyler came to the house and went over his services with me. He is very excited about new clients and about both large and small jobs. He’s very creative and has a small, but effective team supporting him. He arranged for Santa Clara County to come to my house and do the water evaluation, so that we could qualify for the rebate. While we were waiting for the appointment, he worked with a horticulturist to redesign the irrigation and plan the plantings in my front yard based off the plants I chose on the long list of «approved» species from the County.
Tyler was very open to ideas and input. We communicated through text message and a photo stream and shared pictures and ideas. By the time the County did the inspection, we had everything ready for the next phase. I signed the paperwork, and Tyler hand delivered the plan to the office in case they had questions. Then we waited. The County approved our project slowly. In October, we got permission to do the demo. In November we got permission to do the irrigation and in December we finally got permission to plant.
Tyler was often talking to the water officials, because we were making a permeable path in the yard and the County has very specific rules about paths and their construction. The front yard turned out so great, that we had him back to build eight 4’x4’ garden boxes, pour concrete and put up a garden shed, and create new full-​sun beds and customized benches with entertaining tables and succulent gardens in the backyard. He also redid the gate on our worn fence by hand because it was at an odd angle.
Once a month, he comes by and does a maintenance check on everything. We found him invaluable. Tyler and Seth are very customer oriented and a great team They take great pride in getting things right. And they work very, very hard for their clients. Plus, my dogs love them.
