I had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with Ms. Shannon and her assistant Rowena’s rude demeanor and extreme unprofessionalism.
In addition to unreturned phone calls, emails that weren’t replied to and borderline hostile office behavior, Ms. Shannon feels that due to her work with the family court system, the patients she is expected to care for, both emotionally and confidentially, entitles her to carelessly share these private matters as social conversation with individuals outside of her profession.
Ms. Shannon admitted that she can be manipulated and naïve to lies, and without a thorough/​complete investigation can unjustly change the relationship of a child and parent with the stroke of her pen.
It is extremely sad that this person has a business through which families come to get help trusting they will be treated with decency and respect. These families trust that their lives will be held confidential, which is expected of all therapist, especially through the family court system.
Ms. Shannon and her assistant are a discredit to this profession.
I would definitely not recommend this person to anyone.

I called this office mid last week in hopes of booking an appointment for a relative who was going through a crisis. Sadly, today is Monday and they just now returned my call. I indicated on the message that it was a crisis situation and needed a call back ASAP but apparently they didn’t take that seriously. After waiting on hold this morning, the gal on the line said that they don’t work on Friday’s and Ms. Shannon was busy. A unacceptable and pretty unprofessional response.
I would only hope that they work harder to ensure this does NOT happen again to anyone else. Clearly, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone else.
