I have been riding here for several years, and couldn’t be happier with the results. I came in as a beginner with little jumping experience, and now I have a lot of experience showing in equitation and jumpers around 3′ to 3’3″. Great for all levels. Susan is a wonderful trainer (and coach of the Santa Clara equestrian team) and the facilities are incredibly well-​maintained with great horses. I have boarded 3 of my horses here, and they received multiple trainer lessons a week (which is awesome). Worker staff is incredibly friendly as well. I am in college now but I will always come back to ride here during my breaks! Highly recommend coming here!

My daughter has been has been riding with Ligara Farms for over 6 years. She took lessons and went to horse camps as a young child prior to that, but when she wanted to get serious about riding and focusing on hunter jumping and equitation, we sought recommendations. Several former instructors and a horse vet we know, all recommended Susan Crenshaw, the owner of Ligara Farms. Susan is all about achieving the goals of each individual rider in her barn. From young children (or adults) just learning, to advancing teens, to college students competing on equestrian teams, to adult riders who want to compete, or just come out and ride to stay-​in-​shape and continue their passion for horses — Susan’s program encompasses all of these needs. You don’t have to own your own horse. For the novice, Susan has lesson horses. She can also help you find a horse to lease, or purchase. She has a great eye for her client’s needs and a plethora of sale horse contacts — so she will find your perfect match. Susan found our daughter’s horse, and he is incredibly well cared for; on a consistent exercise/​training and diet schedule. My daughter has gone to horse shows from Pebble Beach, to Woodside, to Sacramento, and has progressed beautifully — thanks to Susan’s training. Clean, large facility. The owner, Susan, schedules competitions, then trains and accompanies us. Susan found a horse for me to lease that matched my personality. I know that sounds weird, but if you want to excel in competition you need to have a horse that you can communicate with. The stables are clean, it’s a very convenient location. Look around at the rest of Morgan Hill’s facilities, where the horses look uncared for and neglected, at Ligara, they are brushed, trained and heatlhy. The place has a good vibe, and two training rings.
