We moved to Morgan Hill a few months ago and decided to switch the kids over to a new pediatrician closer to home. When my daughter got sick last week I called Dr. Khan’s office. Not only was the receptionist extremely friendly, she told me to bring my daughter in right away. Dr. Khan greeted us with a calm, caring and professional manner and diagnosed her promptly, but it didn’t stop there. He has also called to check how she is doing and and answer any questions we may have. What a wonderful pediatrician!

When we moved to Morgan Hill 2 years ago, finding a pediatrician was top o’ the list as a priority for our two kids. Finding a ped. as knowledgeable and experienced as Dr. Khan was a welcome surprise. Yesterday, his office proved to be exceptional and launched them into the 5 star category… our son injured his elbow at the playground while rough housing with 2 other boys. He was wimpering in pain and couldn’t shake it off. He said mom, call the doctor. At 3:15 pm I called, the receptionist asked if I could be there by 3:30. We showed up to a crowded waiting room. I checked in. The nurse immediately showed us to a private room, iced his arm and asked how it happened. She stepped out, the doctor stepped in. He asked a few questions about the nature of the injury, touched his shoulder, asked to see the arm. He grabbed his hand and gently shook it. Our son let out a Unilocal and then it was all over. The elbow was dislocated and could be popped back in. I think we were there about 20 minutes… an emergency room would have been a 3 hour experience. Now many of you might be saying, «I knew that»…well, I did not. Dr. Khan and his staff were on it and saved me not hundreds but thousands on a trip to the emergency room. This man has the experience, intelligence and a sensitive no-nonsense attitude needed in caring for kids. I trust his wisdom and diagnostic ability.

Dr. Khan is a great doctor. He was able to fit our son in quickly when he was really sick. Dr. Khan spent enough time with us, but I felt somewhat rushed in the waiting area and when going back to the exam room.

I like Dr. Khan, but I feel like their staff could be a little friendlier. It seems like my daughter’s visits you just rush in and out. I know it is a busy place, but taking time to listen to concerns would be great. Another gripe: my previous pediatrician’s office would give me a sticker with my daughter’s weight and length on it when they took it each time. This is great for mom’s who keep track of the weight and length in scrapbooks. This is the only office I know of that doesn’t do this. When I asked them about this, they wondered what I was talking about(as if they never heard of it before), and when I asked the nurse to write it down, she didn’t. So I don’t have my daughter’s weight or height for the past 6 months and it makes me angry, because this is something I want to know and write down. I wish they would do a little«extra» like this, because it would make their office better and more family-friendly. Dr. Khan also called in fluoride drops for my baby without asking me or telling me about what side effects etc. it would cause. I don’t like putting any artificial chemicals in my baby without knowing the benefits and side effects. They also seem overly concerned with a baby’s iron levels: testing my baby’s iron with a prick test. I’ve talked to other parents of Dr. Khan’s patients who had the same test done to their children. This seems ridiculous, and just an extra un-needed test. Of course my baby didn’t like the pin prick and pushing her blood onto their sample to have it tested. I just wish they would ask you before they do unneeded tests or call in unneeded prescriptions. If they give you the information and you make the choice to do these things as a parent, that is one thing, but assuming every child needs it is another thing.

We recently moved to morgan hill and have 2 young kids. We needed a dr. in town. I did a lot of research as it is so important to find a dr the kids like, as well as good hours, connections and experience. I put a call in to Dr. Khan’s office to see if I could get an appointment for a «meet and greet». I was accommodated quickly and after hours(with no copay)! He spent about 20 minutes meeting the kids and myself while discussing philosophies of care. I felt very comfortable in the office, with the dr. and the staff. We have been seeing Dr. Khan since August, and have been seen same day every time we needed for illness and injury. Dr. Khan has not sent for test after unnecessary test, nor has ignored my concerns about my children. Good balance. They do seem to be moving to requesting copay in cash… but that is my only criticism. Great Dr. Great office Great hours!
