Back at Odium since dining during the Christmas holidays! This restaurant is, perhaps, the best restaurant. I love Wally’s Desert Turtle In Rancho Mirage, Peohe’s in Coronado and North Shore in Fawnskin! Morgan Hill has many fine restaurants, but this is my favorite in Northern California! Ambiance, fine dining, vegetarian options, classy.

Twice visited twice disappointed. When you have these kind of pricey steaks you expect the meat cooked to your liking. Both times my NY steak came out medium to medium well when I asked for medium rare. To top it all off my coworkers steaks were nicely medium rare. The 2nd visit I even asked them to make sure it was med rare and told them about my disappointment from the first visit. But alas it wasn’t meant to be. Won’t be going back.

Nothing spectacular about this restaurant even though the location is pretty interesting. We had better food at Maurizio’s one block away. The portions here are big but the food just wasn’t memorable at all. Perhaps it’s a better place for group events.

Ok. Not our best night out. Dessert was a disappointment and coffee was cold. Gnocchi was delicious. My skirt steak was average and tough.

I wish I could give 10 stars this place is worth the drive to Morgan Hill. Everything is excellent never a bad meal. The atmosphere is chic but not over the top. Looking for a place that serves upscale non snobby dinners come here. The Chicken and waffles will be calling your name. Garrett at the bar makes top flight Lemon Drops. Monica and Anna will welcome you at the door. Chris will help you make a the right chooses that fit your eating desires with the pretty wine to fit the meal.

I like it that it’s kind of hidden in MH. Been here for lunch and dinner, food is good for both… a bit on the saltier side for some dishes but no complaints. Drinks are yummy too.

Reservations for dinner required. Restaurant is located in a residential street, but there is a parking lot with plenty of parking. White table clothes, seats uncomfortable, space a little tight between each table… If you have a baby, I would not suggest to bring a stroller here. I’m glad I didn’t bring my baby here. Food, it’s very good! Can’t go wrong with your order… Gnocchi is exceptional and so is the chicken & waffles. One big con, ordered $ 300 worth of food & was asked to leave after 2 hours so the party after us could be seated… I thought that was rude because it takes time to eat appetizers, 1st, 2nd, & desserts. I drove all the way from San Jose to try it for date night with hubby… Disappointing customer service to a fabulous dinner.

Great Date Our server was attentive and helped us enjoy our date even more. The Lobster amd Waffles were amazing, as was the poke, and scallops.

I have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions because it is my mom’s favorite place in town! It’s on the fancy side so we only go for birthdays or celebrations(i.e. graduations) and it is never a let down. Their menu is pretty straight forward with specials every now and again. It’s pretty laid back for an upscale restaurant so it’s always a good time for conversation and dessert after dinner. I suggest the gyros, all around favorite.

Enjoyed an evening out with my wife at this fine establishment. Our server was outstanding… from drinks to desert recommendations. We started with the calamari, which was not too oily or full of fillers(i.e. Fried veggies). We shared the sampler and bread, also packed with flavor. My favorite was the hummus. The entrée was also very good. Save room for their desert… you wouldn’t regret it. An overall excellent dinning experience.

Finally went back to try that lunch. Odeum is a Mediterranean restaurant in a converted former granary in a fairly small town. What’s more important to understand is that its chef Salvatore Calisi was executive chef at Dio Deka in Los Gatos when they earned a Michelin star, and he has quite a culinary resume. under his belt. His contribution to this small town’s dining scene is fortunately more affordable than you might expect. My cousin and I started lunch with a dip from the Sfizi section of the menu. The Tyrokafteri($ 5.50) is a purée of roasted shishito, oregano, and manouri and feta cheeses. It’s slightly spicy and not very feta-y, but really delicious. There’s actually a sufficient amount to spread atop all the several pieces of grilled pita without being stingy. The pita rectangles are a little underseasoned on their own, but they’re just fine with the dip. I’m sure they would have served well with any of the dips, and there’s a sampler option for all five dips that we declined due to lack of stomach room. Next came our selection from the Primi section, the Polipo($ 13.95). The charred Spanish octopus was nicely spiced and incredibly tender. In combination with the sauteed escarole, cannelini beans, lemon olive oil, and chilies, it was perfect. Well, aside from being devoured so quickly anyway. But the portion size does seem right. The other Primi items made a lot of sense too. My cousin wanted the Mapakia($ 9.95), a shaved salad of Brussels sprouts with bacon, lemon, olive oil, pecorino romano, and croutons. It was a nice salad, but as these things often are, it’s a bit underwhelming. In this case, the flavor was mainly comprised of the lemon and not much else. I don’t think I’ll be aiming for a salad next time. Next, out of the gyro/panini section, was the Lamb Burger($ 13.95). It came out medium-rare as per order, and it was dripping with juices as you bit into it. Loved the Mediterranean flavors in Kalamata olives, feta, tzatziki. Didn’t like the slightly-too-hard ciabatta bread. Also, the garlic was noticeably lacking from the thyme-y fries and the ciabatta. Otherwise, those fries were good, if underseasoned, and definitely complemented the burger. I would’ve really liked them with the ideal crunch and fluff texture though. We wrapped up the meal(or so I thought) with a Secondi menu item, the Chicken & Waffles($ 14.95). Really delicious flavors abound in this dish, with an herbs and black truffle pan sauce, copious amounts of feta, asparagus, and a nice maple syrup. I personally had no idea what the raw enoki mushroom was doing on the plate though, and the waffles and tender chicken both could’ve been a little more crispy/crunchy. Having the syrup and possibly the sauce on the side could’ve helped to preserve the texture. I was tempted to give a soft five star rating until we decided to move to dessert. The fruit-flavored marshmallow served alongside the Nutella mousse($ 12.50) was quite clearly burnt on the outside, not just toasted. You gotta get it right and not burn things if you want to serve desserts like this. Aside from that, I’m still a fan of that dessert and their other sweets. I loved the smooth mousse, the rich peanut brownie underneath, the strawberry coulis, the crunchy cereal puffs, and the roasted beet gelato. Actually, the vanilla gelato on the bread pudding($ 11.95) and the strawberry gelato served somewhat a la carte(on an egg white /sugar«cookie» and with berries to garnish) were both great, proving that Morgan Hill does have proper gelato. The bread pudding was pretty nice, definitely not anywhere near the wet bread puddings that I usually have but still flavorful and restrained in sweetness. Despite some specific flaws, Odeum is a really great restaurant overall, certainly worthy of a drive down from San Jose and perhaps from farther destinations. It’s likely the best fine dining or any dining that Morgan Hill has to offer. And with that, I’m glad that I got to close out the year on a(mostly) good note! Here’s looking forward to a 2016 full of new experiences, as well as revisits to restaurants like Odeum.

Love this place — food is consistently awesome. Service can be sketchy(slow and disjointed) sometimes and as much as it pains me to say it, the Sommelier needs to be replaced, or he needs to change his suppliers. I have never ordered a wine, Champagne or Prosecco from their wine list that they’ve had multiple bottles of(ok in all fairness, maybe they have two of something, then we have to change gears!) It’s crazy and really frustrating for such a fantastic place. Last week — after having this experience for the 5th or 6th time, I complained to my waiter and he said«tell me about it, I hear that from customers all the time!» He’s apparently shared this with his boss and nothing seems to change! Poor guy! So here’s hoping management does something about it… now that they hear it from a customer! I’ll bet there are others with the same feedback!

Place is beautiful, service is great but food? Food is perfect! We are vegetarian and is really difficult for us to find a place where’re flavors are not«contaminated» by artificial ingredients. If you want to eat and have a unique experience, this is the place to come to.

I don’t live in Morgan Hill, but every time I’m up here, I have to visit Odeum. I love Mediterranean food, and Odeum’s is some of the best I’ve had. I’ve had a few different dishes and they have all been amazing, and everyone I’ve brought had enjoyed their meal. My favorite dish is the pork belly gyro. It reminds me of a high class, Mediterranean version of a California burrito. It may sound like a culture clash, but it works and is amazing. The service is great too. The waiters are really nice and give just the right amount of attention. The staff is even willing to go above and beyond. One time I was out with a friend and I convinced her that we should go to Odeum for lunch. However I had lost track of time and we arrived shortly after two. We were informed that the kitchen was closed for lunch. However on our way out the head chef got up from having lunch with his family and reopened the kitchen for us. The wait staff even put up with us staying there drinking wine well after we were done eating, even though they were trying to set up for dinner. All in all, there is a reason I eat here every time I’m in town. It really is that good. And the price is just right for the great food and service you get.

This place was amazing. I had brunch here and it was awesome. Everything I ate was phenomenal. My favorite dish was the waffles. The atmosphere is very quaint and romantic. It’s a great place for a date and I also saw a lot of families come in together. It’s cute. I definitely recommend this place.

Let me start by saying dinner was amazing! Coming from the hospitality industry, I loved seeing the chef working hard in street clothes along with his cooks. We started with the tzatziki(to die for) and ahi poke(yum and perfect for splitting), moved onto the lamb and beautifully played filet and gnocchi. Delicious! After that(and 3 bottles of wine), we were happy and loving life. While enjoying our Nutella Mousse and lemon tart desserts and seeing the chef saying goodbye to guests, I couldnt wait for him to come to our table. To my disappointment, he never left the side of his hostess girlfriend, despite the fact that she never had her cell phone away from her ear. Again, delicious food, but our experience was hindered by actions of the chef. Can’t wait to visit again and hopefully the chef pays more attention to his guests and stops trying to impress his young girlfriend. Note to chef and staff: whenever you think people aren’t looking, work harder. It’ll make everyone appreciate you beyond the food.

Lovely surprise after you think the GPS got you lost once again… On a way to Paso Robles we stopped here after reading great reviews on Unilocal. The outside patio was lovely, weather could not be better and the food fresh with great service– I was very pleased. For lunch we had the soup of the day(potato leak) and the Med salad then had chicken gyros– everything was made to order with fresh ingredients and the gyros are HUGE(enough to share for two). Greek beer for refreshment– what else can you ask for on your Labor weekend start?

Spontaneity took over and I ventured out to Morgan Hill after a friend raved about her amazing time here. Came here for brunch on a Sunday. It took me a while to find the place, until I was told to go on a path that was hidden by shrubbery. First came a complimentary croissant with strawberry cream. This was incredibly good. The croissant was buttery, light, and airy and the strawberry cream was divine. Terrine(House made rabbit terrine, burrata cheese, bosc, pear relish, braised cabbage, 25 year old aged balsamic) I was surprised by how SMALL this plate was despite it being $ 15. However everything on the plate was stellar, from the rabbit to the to the burrata cheese to the cabbage sauce. My friend ordered the gyro(beef I think) was it was larger than a Chipotle burrito. It was so good too. If you want more food for your money, definitely order a gyro. I thought it was a good idea to eat outside since it was a lovely day. Please don’t do that unless you like flies. I cannot wait to come back and try other items.

It was my first time here; we called in a reservation about half an hour ahead, back in October. They did an amazing job of having a table set & prepared for our party of 15 – 16 people. The service was very friendly & prompt. All the entrees were brought out in a timely fashion. I shared the margherita pizza and chicken & waffles with a coworker. Both were delicious. I’ll admit that I was hesitant to try the waffles because they are made with kalamata olives, but I couldn’t taste them at all(which is a good thing, because I don’t like olives). A few coworkers had the lamb burger. They all loved it, but one of them asked for it to be cut in half. He was straight up denied, because it would«demolish its presentation» LOL. He said that pissed him off. After we finished, we were in a rush to leave to get back to work. We stood by the registers and watched our server, Jason, rushing to line up all the credit cards with their corresponding tabs. I reached over to sign my copy, since I thought it would speed up the process, when he reached over and SLAPPEDMYHAND!!! Who does that??? I was shocked & pulled my hand away quickly, and he lectured me to «wait» and that he was«almost done!» That was pretty rude and ballsy! I would’ve given this place 5 stars, if I hadn’t been assaulted by the server, lol.
