My husband and I went to Paradise Christmas Tree Farm for the first time since moving to CA from MN. We were pleased with the amount of tree selections and how full they all looked! We grabbed a beautiful 7′ Monterey Pine. When we went to pay, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you!

Such beautiful trees and a great selection. Very nice employee. It was a great experience. The Christmas tree farm we used to go to closed down, so we are very happy to have found a great new place for all the years to come. Paradise tree farm is our new found tradition.

I’ve been coming here for years and this place never lets me(us) down. Paradise Christmas Tree farms is a family owned/ran, traditional christmas tree farm that has been around for decades. If you are looking for a beautiful tree and peaceful scenery, then this is the place to go.

We wanted a live Christmas tree this year, but are new to the state and didn’t know where to go. We actually went to another tree farm in the Hollister area earlier in the day, but it was chaotic and didn’t seem to have what we wanted. Luckily, we left to check out Paradise Christmas Tree Farm. This place was right up our alley! It was beautiful and very quiet, with maybe one or two other families milling around. The trees all appeared to be in good health and there was a nice selection of sizes to choose from. Unfortunately, we needed a small tree(4.5−5 ft) and there is a 6 ft minimum. Meaning, regardless of the size of the tree you pick out, you pay for at least a 6 footer. However, we didn’t mind to pay the extra because of the friendly assistance of the owner, a kind older gentleman. They could use a «tree shaker» to remove all of the dead needles and any bugs, but it wasn’t a big deal. Paradise was much less«commercialized» than the previous tree farm we went to. There were no pictures with Santa and no «sleigh ride» or playground for the kids, so steer clear if that’s what you’re looking for. Personally, we loved the simplicity of it. Highly recommend!

We come every year. Our favorite place to cut down our own fresh tree for Christmas. They have tall trees as well up to 12′, flocking available as well. Any antique room and special handmade bowls that the owner makes. They are beautiful. They also have a contest where you put your name in a bucket and every year he picks winners. We won last year! And got a free Christmas tree! Just can’t beat a great place with very nice people. Price is reasonable. Great experience.

When you get here, be sure to grab a price sheet, read it carefully, and then ask where the trees that are priced are located. Because I didn’t do that, I didn’t see that the tree type I got was free if over 10′ tall. They keep the grounds neat and trees well trimmed. The people there are really helpful with carrying your tree, and telling you how to care for your tree. Three weeks later, my tree is just starting to show some drying, a lot longer than I originally expected it to. I came over Thanksgiving weekend, and it wasn’t very busy. They were selling hot chocolate to keep everyone warm. They also had a side room by the window to pay that had nicely hand-turned wood items and other wooden furniture for sale. Pro-tip: get the price sheet, and read it carefully. CASHONLY.

It is fantastic to live in a country where we all get to honor our holiday traditions, no matter what they are. For some reason(I blame my parents), mine has always involved traipsing through the snow to find the right tree, cutting it down, and hauling it home. There isn’t snow to be had, hereabouts, and no tree on our tiny Silicon Valley lot worth cutting and hauling. It was nice to find a place where our family can still scratch that itch, though, with the help of honest people and for a fair price. We were given good guidance about what trees were where, the results of the growing season, and even where to walk to stay out of the real mud(it was a rainy day). The trees are carefully groomed so my wife’s expectations were met quickly. The saw provided was sharp, and the advice simple — cut it close to the ground. On the day we went there was a wonderful absence of crowds and hype. There were plenty of good trees to choose from. This is a great place to go if there is at least one of you to carry each end of the tree. They could use a shaker, I think, and they were a little reluctant about netting the thing for us. Otherwise two thumbs up, and on balance a real find. Will be back next year!

A medium size hillside farm full of well-groomed live trees. There’s a variety of tree types so you can choose one that’s strong, soft, powerfully scented, or less likely to cause allergies. The staff is minimal but friendly and helpful.

Beautiful lot to come to if you want to avoid the crowds and enjoy the scenery. Careful driving in because it becomes a narrow one lane driveway up. Decent prices and owned by a very nice couple. Get your muscles ready for some tree cutting. We cut down an 11footer so it was pretty hard and heavy but we had help from one of their employees but unfortunately they don’t have a shaker and only take cash or check. It was a great experience and photo op for my baby’s first tree cutting. We’ll be back next year!

we have been coming here for 12 years and its worth every penny. it has become our family tradition to find that perfect tree and take turns sawing it down. even though the kids are much older they still enjoy every bit of it, especially the complimentary candy canes.

We went to this place for the first time this year. We usually trek up to the Santa Cruz Mountains for our Christmas trees, but we decided to stay local this time around. It’s basically a man’s house, and he planted trees all over his lot. I think it’s about 4 acres to choose from, and there are numerous kinds of trees(douglas fir, coastal redwood, monterey pine, scotch pine, and incense cedar). They range from $ 7.50 to $ 9.50 per foot with a 6 foot minimum purchase… and they add sales tax. We got a 6.5 foot tree and it came out to $ 60. Kinda steep, but I guess it evens out with the money we would have spent driving all the way to the SC mountains. They sell stands, netting, and flocking all for an extra cost. The guys who owns it shaves the trees so they look a little less wild(I tend to like the wild, but I still found one I liked). They sell hot cocoa and cider as well as little antiques and collectibles in their little building. And the view is beautiful! I would come back again, and I would recommend it to any local.
