Best in Chinese food in Morgan Hill. My favorites go order are the sautéed green beans, spicy eggplant and spicy honey chicken. The workers are always very friendly and I like the loungey jazz music they play.

Peking is Morgan hills best Chinese food restaurant! I would recommend this place to anyone I know. They always make space for us, even if they are busy. The food is outstanding, and I hope they are not being affected with the lame construction downtown. Definatly a hidden gem of Morgan hill.

I’ve been working and living in Morganville for 20 years and have been coming to this restaurant on and off for the entire time. Peking is the best Chinese restaurant by far. It is a family owned and run restaurant. The food always is fresh and vibrant and the prices are very reasonable. There are always three or four specials on the board and if any of them appeal to you at all I strongly suggest trying them. My personal favorites include Kung pao chicken, mongolian beef, orange chicken, salt and pepper pork, beef with bok choy. The soups are excellent but I would stay away from the fried shrimp appetizer. It’s the only thing on the menu but I have not enjoyed.

Found my new egg foo young connection! So tasty and a very large portion. We also ordered chow fun and broccoli beef. Everything was great. After tip we paid under $ 40. Deal. I also liked how busy they were and people were constantly walking in picking up phone orders. An empty restaurant on a Friday night always makes me nervous. Definitely will come back for more…

I’ve been here several times and I can say it’s the best Chinese food in Morgan Hill. While not all the dishes are a homerun, the overall quality puts Peking at the top The quantity however is hit or miss. Last night the portions filled the take-out boxes. This has not always been the case. Last time the food filled up the takeout boxes about ¾ way, much to my dismay. Last time they forgot the fortune cookies as well but not this time. Went with 3 selections: 1) Sesame chicken: best variation of any Chinese sweet chicken dish I’ve had. The breading delivers a nice crunch and not overly sweet, more of a honey flavor but o so good. 2) Mongolian beef: had a little heat but was delicious. The sauce gave the the beef a dark yet appetizing color to it. 3) Pork with vegetable: the vegetables were good but the pork tasted like some dehydrated imitation meat. A dish I will forgo in the future. To nitpick, in the dinner for 2, I wish they would let you substitute dishes in there. Because 5 dishes for 2ppl @$ 21 is better than 3 dishes =$ 30 by my count

Wear a hair net!!! Husband brought take out home for dinner and there was a 2 inch black hair in the fried rice! Gross! Lost my appetite. Thank goodness I noticed when I was scooping out a spoonful from the to go carton. Will never return. That’s just dirty.

Oh HELLNO… I ordered combo chow mein… Where the hell is the meat !!! Just noodles … All noodles!!! I paid extra for the combo of meat and all I got was noodles. WTF!!! What a rip off !!! This place is run by Liars and crappy business owners how dare you charge people for stuff and then not give them what they ordered !!! Liars !!! I hate that and I hate this place with a passion. I’m Never ever coming back ever and none of you should ever go here. Let’s let this place go out of business as it deserves to.

Peking has a great tasty menu. The egg rolls are delicious and greasy and accompanied hot mustard was a great kick. We got the chicken won ton soup to share and it comes with at least 15 wontons, slices of chicken, and veggies. Lunch special is decent — I got the Kung pao chicken with egg fried rice. The chicken was a bit too sweet but was seasoned well. I was bummed out that it only had carrots and celery and not more veggies. Egg fried rice was yummy!!! Bf got the beef curry lunch and that dish has some serious kick. Only veggies were onions and green bell peppers but it was seasoned well. If only Peking served Sapporo on tap like China Palace!!! Food is great and folks here are pretty friendly. Visa/MC only and the Sunday closure is a bummer. Definitely will be back

This place USEDTOBEAMAZING be the old owners I believe sold it and moved away. They had amazing customer service and the food was amazing, the restaurant was old looking, now the service sucks and most importantly the hours suck! During the week they close from 230 – 400 and on Saturday only open from 4 – 9 and closed on Sunday! Their schedule alone as kept me from eating here for months which completely sucks because I actually loved the food, and was willing to put up with shitty service for it. Maybe one day I’ll be able to eat here again

I really wanted to like this place. Being Asian myself, I really wanted to see other Asians succeed in our community. But the food was too far subpar than I ever expected. It would be wrong not to say anything. I had chicken salad and combination noodle soup. Chicken salad was just salty, no other flavors. Just salty. No signature Chinese chicken salad sweet and sour notes. I was willing to overlook there are more fried decoration than actual pieces of chicken. Or the fact I ordered dressing on the side and it was ignored. But did they taste this food before pushing out to the customer? It was disgusting how salty it was. Then my noodle soup arrived. Dark broth but no aroma– turns out its just like soy sauce colored hot water without the actual flavor of soysauce. It’s unbelievable how bland this soup noodle is. Then there is the wrong noodle, they didn’t use the real noodle soup noodle which is soft and absorbs flavors from the broth which makes them great soup noodles. They used chow mein noodles, they are made to not to stick to one another and simply do not absorb flavors in water. I felt like I was eating chow mein watered down with hot water. Lastly, the service was awkward. The teenage boy who took my order was so timid that he ran back to get his mom after i asked about combination noodle soup. He spoke English just fine and he went to get mom who asked if I want noodle in my noodle soup. That should have been my sign. Also if they showed they cared about my experience at all I would be more than happy to show them how to make a kick ass chicken salad and soup noodle. My treat just so they can make it right. Alas, I was not asked how was everything the half an hour I was there. I will not be back, you should stay away too and Morgan Hill deserves a lot better.

The service is good, the food is pretty good too! My friends were afraid to take me here because I am use to authentic Chinese Food and they are not as familiar with traditional dishes. This is one of their favorite places in Morganhill. The new owners decorated the place nicely and it looks to be a perfect date night place in Morganhill. Its nicer on the inside than the outside. It’s better to order al la carte and try their specials on the board. I know most Americans order on the numbered menu where its pre-fixed, but I suggest trying something different and order family style. This is where you all pick a dish and share!

The food has good flavor but the service is slow. The waitress forgot our soup,(maybe language barrier) and didn’t bring us boxes when we asked. The waitress also only checked in twice. Definitely not the best!

I have never eaten at a chinese restaurant that I found to be so BORING and very cheap for what they charge. So glad I didn’t order lemon chicken — my friend and her husband ordered it as a dish to share and I kid you not — it looked like 2 pieces of costco chicken breaded chicken breasts cut into small pieces so it looks like you’re getting your $ 9 worth. The lemon sauce looked so thick, I was surprised they were able to get it spread across the chicken breasts! I ordered chicken chow mein with the thin singapore style noodles… I was brought chicken chow fun. No offer to change it. Hubby ordered Egg Foo Young… and he had to remind the server to bring the plain white rice he ordered. Why did he have to remind her? Because the woman stopped taking our order and TOOK A PHONECALL. Didn’t even tell us, «Hold on, I have to take this!» Just stopped writing and answered her ringing phone. Husband is a vegetarian… and he found chicken(or whatever meat that was) in his food. They changed it out for him, but when the bill came, they charged him for the vegetable egg foo young and the chicken egg foo young. Never again.

Wasn’t sure about this place because you can’t tell much from the exterior, but we decided to try it. We ended up liking everything very much! The woman who served us seems like the owner or the owners wife and it seems like a family business. We like that very much! She was very nice and attentive. We will definitely go back again!

If I order a $ 10 dish at a Chinese restaurant, I don’t expect them to charge me another $ 1.50 for rice, that is just ridiculous. The food was decent, though the portion was pretty small. And even though it is a Chinese restaurant, shouldn’t they know that merlot shouldn’t be refrigerated along with the beer? I can’t remember ever ordering red dinner wine anywhere in California, and having it arrive on the table ice-cold.

My father-in-law introduced me to Peking. The whole family loves this place, it is our favorite Chinese food. I like their Tai chi(which is like a spicy kung pao chicken) and their orange chicken, which is always hot, crispy and delicious. They also have a good honey walnut prawns dish. I have not ordered a dish here that I did not like. The staff here is always helpful and friendly.

Don’t waste your money. The food was edible(I did eat it), but it was totally mediocre. I feel like the plus for this restaurant is the atmosphere. It looked very classy when I walked in. However since we ordered take-out I think we suffered. The hot and sour soup was extremely sour. Very overpowering, and I ended up tossing it. I am religious about hot and sour soup, so this was a first. The chicken chow mein was very dry. The hunan beef was just okay– but very fatty. I’m not cheap I’ll totally pay $ 30 for Chinese takeout. However, we ordered from a couple«hole in the wall» type places since we moved here that totally delivered that were way better. We won’t return.

This is my favorite South County Chinese food restaurant. Not only do the owners provide great service the food quality is excellent. The orange chicken(which at other restaurants often tastes like supermarket frozen nugget floating in some gloop) here is a delicious dish where you can actually taste the orange peel. The chow mein is so flavorful with pork and veggies — a meal in itself. Even the fortune cookies are good! Other favorites include the corn soup with chicken, pork in black bean sauce, egg rolls, and sauteed string beans. Be sure to ask about daily specials — they often have yummy dishes not offered on the menu. While takeout is great, try eating onsite as they have surprisingly nice décor for a Chinese restaurant in an MH shopping center. They are great with kids — they have special kid chopsticks and often offer my 5 year old a cup of soup while waiting for our order. We’ve been going here for over 2 years and they’ve managed to maintain the quality and service.
