I had a disappointing experience with their repair department. When my subwoofer started to hum, I took it to a local repair shop, which told me Velodyne wouldn’t sell them the part they needed. So, I sent the amplifier from the subwoofer to Velodyne, paying a flat $ 275 for the repair. When I received the repaired amplifier, I couldn’t figure out why I had four wires to re-connect when there were only three connectors available. I studied photos I had taken during disassembly, and sent several emails to the repair department. I got no help. Ultimately, I was able to find a photo on the web that revealed Velodyne had left out a connector when they re-assembled my amplifier after repair. That small mistake cost me two hours of hunting around for an answer. I pointed this out to Velodyne, and they never replied.

I just received my pair of Velodyne in ear headphones and am blown away. I didn’t realize you can get such good bass response out of ear buds. I am a musician so I’d say I have a pretty sensitive ear. These things are great and I highly recommend!

Excellent… Excellent customer service! When I turned on my system after months of being away my optimum 8 sounded horrible. Not at all what you would expect from what probably was the fifth Velodyne sub that I’ve owned. There was no bass, only movement from the woofer. After promptly receiving my RMA I took it to the service center and Rob quickly tested it and found nothing wrong with it. They kept it on a burn in over the weekend and found that the sub needed a software upgrade. The sub sounds as good as it did when It was new. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Velodyne.

Excellent service all around. Response to my email inquiry regarding getting my subwoofer serviced was very prompt and then they followed up with a RMA# before I had a chance to request it. They came out to the car and took the 60lb + subwoofer, and within a week completed the service and brought it out back to the car when my wife picked it up. All under warranty and the issue was corrected.
