I love this place. We always have new food to try. And a new wonderful cook! We are trying new things and have hired many new people! we have a featured menu which has different items on it every month to keep the options open for our customers! We do take reservations and we do also offer a full bar, beer and wine!

Verlies has great food but the service is not that great! I don’t think they have more than 1 server during the day but food is great.

Service was beyond awful. We drove across the River to try Verlies in Morganfield. There was no hostess so we seated ourselves. More than 15 minutes passed without anyone acknowledging us or even saying hello. The restaurant was nowhere near crowded. We told the waiter that we were leaving because we no one helped us. He said «I’m sorry. We are so short-​staffed today.» I said «I can understand that, but I can’t understand why you can’t even acknowledge a customer’s presence. It only takes one second to say Hello.» Better yet «We’re a little busy now but we’ll be with you ASAP.» We will never return to this establishment.

Food and service was good. Fried pickles were excellent. Only reason I didn’t give them a 5 star rating is because I have only been there once. I do plan to visit again and try some of their other dishes.
