Blue Ridge Mountain Kayaking

This company embodies the friendly, laid-​back spirit of Blue Ridge and the surrounding area. My wife and I did a simple, couple-​hour float on the Toccoa on a sunny afternoon in May 2015. The owners put us in a boat, gave us some visual distance cues, and were there to pick us up at an easy take-​out where they said they’d be.
It should be noted that the Toccoa, while beautiful, can have a range of conditions. Being reservoir fed, it’s very cold and can go from lazy to high & swift within 10 minutes of a dam release. Water levels and river conditions are always changing, so make sure you call ahead and get the scoop. Dam operators don’t always post schedules in advance, so sometimes the BRMK guys won’t know exactly until the morning of.
