I love this place. The sushi was very good. We weren’t sure what was good so Mary suggested that we try the octopus and the dragon roll. My wife is afraid of octopus and was quiet surprise by how good it tasted. The dragon roll had lots of flavor. We love sushi and kin 2 kin definitely is worth the money. Good people and good food. Will definitely come back.

I love the sushi here! It’s kinda pricey compared to other local sushi but lunch specials are more affordable. The staff and chefs are very friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Nice presentation and good quality food.

I ordered out from there. The caterpillar roll tasted like lake water. The volcano tasted like BBQ. The spider tasted just plain disgusting. They didn’t put the edamame, or the spring rolls I ordered & paid for in our bag and then were rude when I called in to see what they could do about it. There is no way I would ever eat there again, nor would I suggest anyone else to. The drive to Hickory for Wild Wok is definitely worth it. Don’t waste your time or money on this place.

EATER BEWARE!!! First time ive eaten here definitely last. Service was decent but it took us over 40 minutes get are food once ordered my miso soup was pure soy sauce. The salad was full of brown lettuce l, once I finally got my sushi it had a fingernails worth of meat not only that but the eel was tasted of being out for a long long time and the salmon was clearer going bad. All the food we ordered was either about to go bad or bad already.

Usually good but lost our order twice. waitress said she comp us but went to pay and it was full price… what?

I’ve eaten here twice. Both times the servers have been attentive and prompt. The sushi is wonderful! There is limited seating… maybe three booths, four tables and a very small bar near the kitchen. I’ve never seen the restaurant full, so this hasn’t been an issue. They seem to have a good customer base… I ate here once during lunch, the other time was at dinner about 7:30 or so and they had a good customer flow both times. I would recommend eating here, the prices are reasonable and the sushi is delicious.

I love their Sushi! I would go there just to drink their hot tea-​so wonderful! Their other food is very good also. The only draw back is that the restaurant is so small. Very glad to see this in little ‘olé Morganton.

I absolutely love the sushi, the service, and the prices. This is one of the MUST VISIT restaurants in Morganton. I really like sitting at the sushi bar because the guys are always friends and even will let you sample some variety of sushi. They have a half-​priced menu on Sundays and Mondays from 5pm-​7pm which has a lot of variety. They are just a great friendly and relaxing place. My only issue with them and why I can’t give them 5 stars is sometimes when you are sitting at the bar you have to listen to whatever music the cooks are playing and it isn’t always my taste of music. But that won’t stop me from coming back each week.

We love the sushi at Kin 2 Kin! DH and I have been eating sushi here every week for the past few months. The wait staff and sushi chefs are always friendly and efficient. We like to sit at the sushi bar and chat with the sushi chefs as they prepare our meal. The spring roll and albacore roll (not on the menu) are our favorites. We also love the spicy tuna roll, philly roll, scallop roll, and avocado maki roll. They have many rolls for ½ price on Sunday and Monday nights — an amazing bargain.

Good Sushi fresh and attractive presentation. My service was good and attentive contrary to other reviewers previous to my visit. I’d return here if back in town. Decent Japanese dining.

The sushi is very good. Avoid the soups!

Stunningly low prices but with somewhat poor service.
The food itself was fine, including sushi, miso soup and seaweed salad over cucumber. Nothing particularly original, but the fish was moderately fresh and for those who need a more Western approach to sushi, many of the larger rolls had tempura and/​or mayonnaise.
The service left much to be desired. Along with confusing every single order, pouring the wrong refills, and shouting out each order out to the table as it was delivered without considering that the parties were in mid-​conservation, the server managed to offend several guests by patronizingly referring to them as «young ladies» when clearly they did not enjoy the witticism.
When confronted and asked to refrain, the server laughed it off and continued to use the phrase, at which point he was asked pointedly not to do it again.
To be fair, the other servers did not seem to have any issues with service and the other customers seemed to be quite happy.
In all, I’d go again, but I’d avoid that server. The menu was varied and not only sushi, but had plenty of alternatives for those wanting tempura or a more traditional dish. It’s fine for a sushi craving, but not for a serious Japanese meal, at least not yet.
Perhaps Kin 2 Kin will improve with a bit more time.
