Walmart Supercenter

One of the newest walmarts, I have been in. Very clean, the new architecture style is nice. It’s a super center so it has everything. Pretty sure you know what a Walmart is so I won’t go into that.
Take always:
New, clean, plenty of parking, open all the time, friendly staff (even on a early Sunday morning)

This store is so new that they haven’t transferred all the merchandise from their old location.
This is a typical Wal*Mart Superstore, meaning the place is huge inside.
Since the store is virtually brand new, the store is attractive and easy to navigate…
except there had to have been easily a thousand people in the store.
I went here looking for a specific, hard to find item in their electronics dept. Their website said that the item WAS available for immediate in store pickup.
I noticed a really tall, gangly, long haired, teenager working in electronics. He tried to avoid my gaze. I walked up to him and asked him if he worked here. He was cornered so he replied in the affirmative. I told him what I wanted, and he said that it was kept in their warehouse in a locked room. Then he stood there with a blank look on his face. I asked if he would go check if the item was in stock. I waited ten minutes, and when said individual returned, he said that he couldn’t see the item by looking from the outside of the locked room. «DUUUH!» How about getting someone to unlock the place and do a proper search. I doubt that he even looked. I’m also not too sure that he’s ever shaved. Is this is the «typical» Wal*Mart employee?
Out in the parking lot, undaunted, I called the store and asked to speak with the electronic dept. This time I spoke with a young sounding Asian girl. She gave me some good information, but I still returned home without my item.
A Wal*Mart is a Wal*Mart. None of their stores are ever going to get above a three star rating from me, but this store was about as good as their chain gets. Apparently, Morganton must think so too, because a large part of the local populace was inside the store. LOL!
