Love the food and the owner is super sweet! I have had the Ox tail, the meat pies (my favorite), curry chicken and the jerk chicken all were excellent! Nice to have something different to choose from for a meal option that’s not a chain.

I will never eat here again. She was rude and the portions was so small it was almost unbelievable. I got the lamb stew, and it was literally 2 tbs of stew. The tiny piece of meat in it was half fat. It came with an appetizer, but they told me I could I only choose between the plantains and rice.

Awesome African food. Spice mixes very well with the food. I had their oxtail with plain cherith rice. I wish I got the orange rice as that had better taste. I will be back again.
They are great with food allergy too

Returned to Africana Cherith to have another go.
Ordered the beef stew, goat curry, a bread, and a side of kale and cabbage.
The beef stew was spicy and I felt delicious.
The goat curry was tasty but the meet was chewy, fatty, and gristly. This was disappointing because it was so much better the first time. There was actual meat in this dish the first time I visited.
The vegetables were bland.
The bread was fantastic — tasted like fried bread.
All in all I remain optimistic for this establishment.

Great food. Love the goat stew. The meat is tender and the stew is the perfect spice level for me. Enough that I feel the heat but doesn’t kill my tongue. I got it with the orange rice and hyssop. Both completed the main dish well. I would definitely be a frequent flyer here if I wasn’t moving from this area.
