Dairy Queen

This is the only DQ worth going to anymore; kudos for prompt, friendly service every time. My only complaint is when you close for the season!

The Unilocal title said that this Dairy Queen was closed. This is far from the truth. They do close in the winter because the owners travel or something. Anyhow…
Stopped in to get a DQ cake for my mom’s birthday. I used to get lunch here a lot until I cut down on the fast food intake.
This is a very cool little Dairy Queen. It’s a DQ, but it has a bit of that nostalgic feel that reminds you of a mom & pop ice cream shop. The couple that owns/​runs the place has been at it for years. At least I think they still own it. I have only done carryout a couple/​few times in the last year. Lots of cool things to look at on the walls while you wait: DQ business awards, little league pictures, etc. You can tell the owners have had a lot of community interaction.
As for the food, it’s a DQ, how can you go wrong unless you hate DQ. The service is good. They haven’t screwed up my order yet and always seem pleasant. The counter area is a little low as the menu is right above the counter, but I kind of like it.
Turning left into the parking lot can be a pain during rush hour.
Wish I had more to say. It’s not very big, but it is still a cool place.
