Poppy’s Pizzeria

First time eating here it was very very good ! We had a Caesar salad and the white pizza with broccoli. The pie was beautiful! Loaded with garlic and broccoli and just the right amount of cheese. It tasted like the Caesar dressing was homemade. They just started delivering which was awesome! And it was only 45 minutes. And that was exactly what it was not ¹¹⁄₂ hrs like our other place. And for a lent Friday that is great! We will definately be trying more stuff here

We stopped in between baseball games to get pizza based on the 4 star review. Unfortunately this is NOT 4 star pizza. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice and the establishment was clean but the pizza falls short. Regular slice is all cheese with barely any sauce. Oily. Sicilian chewy but no real pizza flavor. If you just need a hot chewy cheesy pizza you’ll be ok but if you are used to your nearby excellent neighborhood pizza place this will disappoint.

This is very good pizza and they deliver on time in the hot bags.

This is a nice place, friendly staff, fair prices, clean. I work close, so I stop in at least once a week, even if it’s only for a drink. :)

Wow, this location has had so many pizza places in it. The new owner is Steve and seems like a nice guy. Stopped by a few times for slices and finally ordered the $ 26.95 special. Overall it was very good. Mozzarella sticks were good and the marinara was excellent. The pizza was good with good flavor. Sauce was semi-​sweet but had good flavor. Crust was good as well. It was a little more oily than I like, but it did not hinder the flavor. I was too full to try the garlic knots, but they looked good. We picked up the pizza on a Sunday during the Giant game and the only TV in the place had News12 on it. That needs to change. I wish the place had a few more TVs as it would be a place I would go to watch a game and grab a few slices. The menu still says «Muscle’s Pizza» on it, and I admit there is no excuse for that. I know new menus are expensive, but that is the cost of doing business. It looks like the menu is exactly the same as is the chef/​cook. Customers get confused and that is not good. Hours are 11 – 9. It will be interesting to see if Poppy’s Pizza makes it there. The one thing that is needed is a traffic light at this location. It is a nightmare making a left out of this complex and I know people who avoid the entire complex because of it. It IS that bad. I wish these guys the best of luck and will be back. I just wonder with so many pizza eateries in the area, and more coming with the addition of Carlos’ Pizza in Manorville, how many pizza places can really we really sustain? The Moriches area needs another pizza shop like it needs another nail salon or a bank! Enough already! Anyway, good luck to Steve and I will give it another try and recommend others to try it as well.
