I was super excited to finally see a juice bar in this part of the Bronx but my excitement went to disappointment as soon as I enter the facility. As I walked to the place, they had the hours of operations in the front. It said closed on Sundays but I saw the lights on and people ordering. The place was so small that if 10 people were inside, it would be a fire hazard. Their was 2 people in front of us and I confuse to where to stand to order. After 5 minutes, my friend politely said«Where does the line starts?» and crickets. No one responded. My friend asked again and the lady behind the counter said«Can I help you? «but with an attitude. My friend wanted the apples and carrots juice. The counter lady responded«We ran out of apples» in a rude manner. I was amazed at the fact that they didn’t have apples when there is an Associated Supermarket up the block. Besides the case of the missing apples, I told my friend lets just go because I refuse to spend my money in a place that has employees that are not polite and courteous. I wasn’t expecting the red carpet treatment but a simple«Hello» or «may I take your order» would be nice. It’s safe to say, I would not be coming back.

At first I was excited to finally have a healthy spot in the area as most are just chicken spots or fast/fried foods. The first time I ordered I could tell the 2 front employees had very little formal training in regards to food regulations, but I was satisfied with the pernil tacos and avena strawberry smoothie I’d gotten. Yesterday was the last time I ordered food from them. The employees talked to way too much, touching EVERYTHING with their gloves, including ipod, money, even ate food with their gloves on. I wanted a Caesar salad and patelitos. As a germophobe I kindly asked the lady to change her gloves and she did. I asked for the last 2 steak patelitos, and as she was getting them for me, the other lady took them for herself, and I was told there were no more… even though I can see them I guess they think if you’re fluent in English you don’t know Spanish. That’s another thing, They don’t understand English. It seemed like they were friends with this one guy giving him free things, but I couldn’t get items I wanted to pay for. Anyways, I tried eating my salad, did not taste fresh. I knew a Juice bar in Burnside was too good to be true. Quality and service sucks I’ll definitely pass next time.

It’s a small take out restaurant that serves dishes such as tacos, frozen yogurt and salad. They also serve smoothies. You can have it with fruit, vegetables or both. I ordered a stawberry banana smoothie($ 4 for a medium). It was sweet and delicious. I took away one star because I had to wait a while on line to place an order. There are only two people working behind the counter, which explains the long wait. There are no seats available, so don’t expect to sit and dine.

Really nice addition to the neighborhood. I work around the area and see the place every time and only recently did I decided to try this place. Pro’s: 1. They’re cheap; small, medium, and large smoothies are $ 3, $ 4, and $ 5, respectively. 2. They make a wide variety of smoothies(from fruits to vegetables or mixed). 3. They make tacos, pastelitos and quesadillas too. Con’s: 1. Unless you tell them not to, they add condensed milk and 3 big ass tablespoon of sugar. I get this during my cheat days cuz they taste better due to the large amount of sugar. 2. I’ve only tried their pastelitos(aside from their smoothie). Their pastelitos were a little salty. It wasn’t fresh either. I suggest getting them when they just finish making them. They were around $ 2-$ 3. 4. Small ass place. It’s only meant for takeouts but when it gets crowded with people it’s a hassle to order. 5. Cash only. I recommend you to try the spot out, especially their mango x pineapple smoothie. It’s on point.

Gabi Juice Bar is amazing!!! The quality of the shakes, salads, and fruits are great; everything on their Menu is delectable. I recommend anyone that is nearby to give it a try.

I’m so proud that my neighborhood finally has a place where healthful items are being sold! As a vegetarian my options are limited, aside from cooking at home obviously. I urge everyone in the area to support our local businesses, especially those that want to help us make better decisions about what we put into our bodies! They also sell fritura(which seems like an oxy-moron but they gotta do what they gotta do and fritura sells) so if you want to indulge your guilty pleasure of fried food or satisfy a craving for tacos they have that too! But my review is celebrating the smoothies, salads and juices they sell(the largest size is only 5 bucks and I had my smoothie with papaya, banana, spinach, blueberries and almond milk)

From the time it opened to now, I have purchased at least one fruit salad every week. When it first opened, I purchased a strawberry and almonds salad every day. The first 2 weeks it opened, every thing was high quality, the fruits were fresh, ripe, and washed but after the first two weeks, I noticed a decline in quality, service, and value. 1. It is a store which has a counter which very little room for one to be inside the business rather than on the sidewalk. 2. The women who work there are very few and very slow, it feels like forever when you want to place an order, they don’t notice who arrived before the other, and they just talk among themselves rather than service clients promptly. 3. After the first two weeks, I am noticing that the berries are not thoroughly clean, I even witnessed when they were refilling the containers, they just out plastic boxes and directly placed it into containers without washing. The only item they seem to wash are the strawberries. 4. They are not interested in filling up your fruit salad if you’re only getting berries, and if you do, they want to charge you $ 1 extra. If one has the option of choosing what they want in their salad, one should not be charged more for wanting just berries. They don’t fill it up like they used to. 5. One evening after work, I went to get a salad and they didn’t fill it up, and they had a lot of berries left. They are not interested in getting rid of their inventory before the day is out, they don’t care about the quality of the fruits they are selling. After the first two weeks, I started to have to pay attention to the fruits because the strawberries were no long fresh, they were half way expired or already expired. 6. The sheared/shaved almonds started off are pre-packaged, and are now manually being chopped and does not look the same as before. 7. Now most of the fruits are past their ripe point and they continue to sell it instead of freezing it and using it for juicing instead. 8. Any salad I get now is half edible and have to discard the rest, you can get better quality if you just buy fruit from the supermarket and made your own. 9. The women who work there are unintentionally unprofessional, I’ve witnessed them arguing with customers, speaking over the fruit counter with no mask on, touching money with their gloved hands(which also touch the fruit), and just don’t know how to render quality customer service. All in all, I have no idea how they store the fruits at the end of the day, as I am seeing a lot of ove-rippened fruits on my salad and I’m no longer going to buy anything from them. The website advertised on their menu leads nowhere, the domain does not exist, the address is misspelled as well, their credit card machine has not worked from the day they opened, most items on the menu are misspelled. They started out as a solid business with quality(it used to be packed every day), and now it’s empty most of the time, the fruits are not fresh, and you have to hustle with them to keep their end of the bargain of actually selling you what you asked for and the quantity you are requesting. Their business number has never worked toward honoring their«delivery» option as stated on the menu. Definitely bit more than they could chew, and failed in execution just after 2 weeks.
