Food was great. Large selection, even non Italian items. Our server was the best. Very personable and attentive. Enjoyed out time here as well as the food. Reasonable prices. Definitely 5 star Restaurant in a 3 star area

Maria’s hands down has the best french onion soup I have ever had in my entire life. That being said, everything I have tried here is cooked to perfection and is very well priced considering you get soup and salad bar with dinner and of course bread and oil for your table. The service is excellent here, servers are always friendly and work hard. The owner and managers are far beyond fantastic, absolutely great people! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who comes to Morris! Voted best pizza in town and they most definitely deserve it. Thank you Maria’s for never letting me down.

Third time unfortunately was not a charm. Not sure how to describe it, but things were just off for lack of a better word. It may have been a one time thing(and it was pasta as opposed to pizza) so I would still check them out as there are not too many other options around.

The best pizza in morris but your paying for it because it’s pretty expensive. They do have a salad bar inside and the other food dishes are delicious.

Very nice restaurant close to I-80 in Morris. My sister thought it was awesome. I thought it was just okay. She had a panini sandwich w/fries & coleslaw. I had a small pizza. Pizza was nothing to write home about. The cheese sticks were very good with lots of cheese inside. Only one server who did a good job as it was slightly busy. One other lady manning the salad buffet. My husband and I went there in the late 80’s and I remember the restaurants food was above average. I would go back again to try something else other than the pizza.

The customer service was great. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful. The bread was fresh & warm, cheese sticks came piping hot with lots of sauce. The pizza was decent, firm crust but sauce was a little bland… Wish they used the same sauce on pizza that they had used for the cheese sticks. We will probably come back!

Have been coming here for the past year for the amazing pastas and specials. I recently tried the margherita pizza and ordered it extra thin– by far best pizza I’ve ever had. Great quality for a good price.

Went to Maria’s in Morris tonight. We were seated and waited 10 minutes and nobody came to even take a drink order. Then, they seated the table next to us and were taking their drink orders before they could even took their coats off. Never going there again.

I stopped on a business trip. I was greeted at the door, sat right away. My server came right over and took my drink order, brought the drink and gave me time to read the very long menu. The salad bar and soup came with my dinner. I found the bar to be small but good, best pea salad I have had in a long time. The green pepper soup was ok. My lasagna was good but had water on the plate, I needed more red sauce. I married into an Italian family and this was good but not as great as it could have been. I would return if in the area again:) Thanks for a good meal.

I had the Filet Oscar — it was great and was a good sized portion with soup and salad bar. It took a really long time to get my food(on a Wednesday night when the place was practically deserted). Make sure you have a bit of time to spend when you go there.

Putting your staff in black bow ties doesn’t make a fancy restaurant. I took a chance on this place because the reviews were mixed. I wish I hadn’t. The bread was terrible, served with way too much cheap olive oil. I asked for vinegar and was told to use the vinegar at the salad bar. The salad bar was not impressive. Chopped iceberg and romaine that was just starting to wilt. Few toppings. Over cooked hard boiled eggs. Bacon bits were obviously fake. French onion soup couldn’t hide how awful the bread is. The angel hair pasta in my entrée was overcooked till it was near slimy. Oh and the $ 3 San Pellegrino gets you a tiny 250ml bottle. And that’s all I was left with to drink. I wasn’t offered a glass of water or anything else. All in all it sucked and it was overpriced to boot.

Food was goid, service was decent. Portions are HUGE. Do yourself a favor and share. $ 3 upcharge for cheese and bread(standard at every other restaurant) on the french onion soup was disappointing.

The food is OK, but I was not happy with their buffet. I’ve been to many all-you-can eat buffets and this was by far the skimpiest amount of food for $ 19 that I have ever seen! The salad bar had regular lettuce and some dressings, a few toppings and that was it. Then the dessert bar had very small brownies, small muffins, and small cream puffs. And that was it! Like they couldn’t afford cake or pie! How about some chocolate covered strawberries maybe. **The owner should visit Pheasant Run on a Sunday and get some ideas!!** The spread of food was breakfast on one side and beef, pork, chicken, pasta on the other. They lacked side dishes and vegetables.

My son lives in Illinois, his family in Upstate New York. When he announced his plans to get married we needed a place in Illinois for the rehearsal party — my son and his fiancé(now wife) recommended Maria’s. Marilyn and the staff at Maria’s provided the BEST service. Since my son’s family is in Upstate NY all of the planning was done by phone or email. Marilyn assured everyone that everything would be as planned — and her planning was perfect. A rehearsal party for 50 people went off without a hitch — everything was perfect — and the price was exactly as quoted and very reasonable. Thank you to Marilyn and everyone at Maria’s.

We were driving through on our way somewhere else, and checked Unilocal for a decent restaurant. This had 4 stars, so we decided to try it. Mistake. My spaghetti had jarred sauce and overcooked gummy pasta and a couple of probably frozen meatballs, and my husband’s fettuccini had probably jarred sauce, with overcooked pasta and frozen chicken bits and frozen veggies tossed in. The soup wasn’t good and the salad bar was seriously underwhelming. Our two mediocre at best pasta meals and one kid’s meal, with no alcoholic drinks or appetizers, added up to $ 60. Buy some Ragu, frozen meatballs, and a box of pasta, and then don’t overcooked the pasta, and you’ll eat better. Add some slightly old bag o’salad if you want to really recreate the experience. When I got back to my iPad, I saw that Unilocal decided all the bad reviews weren’t useful or it wouldn’t have had such a high rating. Before going here, read the«unhelpful» reviews. They tell the real story.
