I have ordered cupcakes and picked up coffee and baked goods many times. Sweet staff and excellent drinks and food. Morrison is lucky to have Liz!

The best baked goods you’ll find in the Midwest and darned good coffee, too. Their cakes are a true work of art! The staff is exceptionally friendly and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. You will definitely find something you’ll love at Baked by Liz and you have a great time, too.

The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and they were not shy about offering samples. Don’t be fooled by the small town location; their experience and craft is evident in the deliciousness of their baked sweets! They have such a variety in the type of baked goods they offer too. All of the items I saw looked fresh and well-​crafted so they present well (ie. if you’re looking for a baker for an event). I live in Chicago and Baked by Liz surpasses any of the bakeries I have been to in the city! The only con I have for the business is that they are not located closer to me. :)

They probably had the best cinnamon roll I have ever eaten. It was very soft and to tasted more sugar than cinnamon. I thought the large size would be too big so I ordered the small size cinnamon roll. Big mistake, it was tiny! It would have taken at least 3 of them to be a sufficient breakfast meal.
My cup cake ratings vary by flavor.
The chocolate chip cookie dough did not taste at all like cookie dough. It had regular cookies on top and a chocolate filling inside. It was way too sweet, I didn’t even finish it.
The buttered pecan was pretty good, but nothing amazing.
The pistachio was very good, the cup cake and the frosting both tasted like pistachios and had just the right sweetness.
The salted caramel cupcake was my favorite. It had just the right amount of sweetness and saltiness.

Liz provided 150 cupcakes in a wide variety of flavors for our daughter’s wedding and they were a huge hit. Months later people still comment on how beautiful and delicious the cupcakes were. Liz’s customer service and product quality are outstanding as is her dedication to the community and providing support for the fine arts.

The best cupcakes and cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had! Not only were the treats amazing but the service is always amazing! Liz truly appreciates each and every customer that walks in the door and I have never had a bad experience at this bakery. I believe she recently received the customer service award and she really deserves it! This bakery is the bomb!!!

This is going to sound hyperbolic and potentially ridiculous, but the best cupcakes on Earth are in Morrison, Illinois. I stumbled upon Baked by Liz while in town for a trial (don’t ask). The coffee was good — really good — and the place stood out (artisanal and crunchy in a conservative rural community), so I ordered some cupcakes.
Holy crap. Beautiful and unbelievably good. Not too buttery, not too big, not too sweet — just right. The chocolate mint was great and the raspberry swirl was unreal. If you happen to be passing by or in the general vicinity of Morrison, do yourself a favor and stop in. You will not be disappointed.
