We went there for a business meeting and had the private room. The wine selection was delicious, and we loaded up on multiple appetizers. The baked Brie and calamari were a big hit with the whole group, while I could have dove face first into the plate of ahi tuna… getting that only for me next time. The duck entrée was cooked very well and was delicious. Okay, I don’t remember my entrée, but did I mention that the wine was good? I seriously need to go back there!

We actually liked their food. We also appreciate the older gentleman that was our host and waiter. He was working in tandem with a young female staff who was equally nice. The ambience is one of those old world charm. Dark and mysterious. We started with their Beef Liver Dumpling soup. I love this soup! Then we wanted to explore some more and ordered Calamari. Tempura style. This has that sweet and slightly tangy flavor that really worked to their advantage. It’s not heavy, easy on the palette and it’s almost airy and very light. With a slight zing to give you that added surprise. We ordered the Bohemian Combination Platter for two. I had the Roast Pork portion of it. The meat was unbelievably tender and tasty. The brown sauce was so good! The bread. Now that native bread was a statement on that plate. This is by the way their National Dish:) Let me tell you about their potato pancake. It’s the savory kind. It’s the kind that you will crave for again and again! The sides were crispy and the whole thing was so damn good! As a side this is one of my all time favorite! We closed the evening with a Crêpe Dessert. Nor bad but I’ve had better.

This place is fabulous! So romantic and quaint. Great place for a date. And the food… Incredible!!! The beef goulash, cucumber salad, meatloaf, schnitzel, sauerkraut, red cabbage… are out of this world. The service is superb. I will definitely be returning here often.

this business is not financial legitimate. i had dinner over there, and even thought the prices are a bit expensive, the amount was $ 45, i gave the waiter a $ 9 tip and the total bill was $ 54. they charged my bank card $ 71. the very next day i called the bank to dispute this $ 17 super extra charge, and also called the restaurant. they pretend it was a mistake. they were not able to credit me back saying don’t have this option, however i had to give them my address and they brouth me the17 back

We had a group(of 10) Christmas party on Dec. 10th. We were seated in the private dining room. We all agreed that the room was perfect for our party! Our server was very attentive without being overbearing. We ordered various drinks from the bar that were generous and tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meals with the Chicken a la Prague getting very high marks. We loved the private dining room, the meal, and the service and will be back again next year!

This meal was an abomination. Came here with my family and left annoyed. The food was mediocre. I had the salmon and it tasted and smelled weirdly fishy for supposedly fresh salmon. Had zero taste except for the crab which only tasted like butter. They were out if all the side dishes except for potato salad. They were also out of literally half the menu. Literally they said pretty much nothing on the left side could be made. But for some reason our waitress didn’t inform us of this until she came to take our order. Other people ordered chicken schnitzel and it was really just a bland chicken Patty. The service was the worst part. The waitress was rude from the very start giving snide responses to questions about the menu. We were seated at 530 and didn’t receive our entrees until 715. All the while the waitress just told us 10 more minutes! Then when our entrees did come my uncles didn’t arrive until after everyone had finished. When she brought it out he asked her if she would package it to go since everyone else was pretty much done eating. But the waitress said«No, just eat it!.» And walked away. My and my dad’s jaw dropped. So he sat there and took a few bites of the less than mediocre picatta. We didn’t see our waitress after that and the owner kept walking by but failed to acknowledge that our party was obviously displeased. My uncle had to then go and find our waitress for the bill. She did not provide an itemized receipt but just said she took the dish off. When he paid she didn’t even offer him his change, he had to ask for it(and no, it wasn’t a miniscule amount). Now, most of the people at our table have had extensive experience in the service industry and we get it, shit happens! Servers and cooks call off and when no one can cover all shit hits the fan. BUT, how this staff reacted is a prime example of exactly how NOT to handle chaos in a restaurant. I hope that this was their excuse tonight because if not I can’t imagine a business succeeding with such unsatisfactory levels of customer service on a normal basis. Either way our waitress needs an attitude check.

Favorite place I’ve ever eaten at! I always get the goulash soup and pork shank. Everything else is delicious as I have picked food off of my friend’s plates many times.

Back to the Café Prague again last night for our anniversary. Still love this place. Such a quaint location on the main street in Morrison. Warm and inviting with a great staff. I had the potato dumpling special. Potato dumplings stuffed with ham, a little onion and other things to make it yummy. Great texture and flavor. Have never had this before and loved it. Paired with a sauteed spinach. Wonderful. My wife had the Chicken Cordon Blue. Chicken breast pounded flat, then rolled over ham and cheese. Lightly breaded and fried. It was great! A light crunchiness with the perfect amount of ham and cheese. We started with sauteed mushrooms, fresh and tasty. The soup and salad were also very good. We finished with a little Carrot Cake. This place has great authentic Czechoslovakian food. I ordered a White Russian, then wondered if that was a good idea. Apparently, relations with Russia are considered good politically, but there is must mistrust between the nations. I will not order a White Russian again. If you know of a good Czech drink that is comparable, please let me know. Will be back again. Love this place.

Upscale, but casual. This place is phenomenal. Authentic. Delicious. Wonderful. Fresh bread, potato pancakes, and dumplings so good that’d I would steal from my hungry Mamas plate. Try the goulash, trust me.

What an amazing restaurant! Service was excellent and the food was delicious! Staff was super friendly, sat on the patio was a little chilly, owner came out and started the fire for us. Highly recommend! We will be back!

Can’t speak to the food, but the owner’s a real jerk. We parked in the lot across the way and deposited the asked $ 5, when he beelined out and said rather curtly«You’re coming in, right?!» When we said we had paid to park, he as curtly said«No money, read the sign!» So after we realized he would be SURE we were towed, despite the lot being half empty, we found FREE parking somewhere else in town. Hope you losing our business was worth being such an ass, buddy!

So many other places worth going to and this is not one of them. Food is passable but not worth the price. Attitude is the worst. Owner and parking police are little men with big egos. Sucking all what is good about Morrison out of the town.

Delicious food and feet service. Great atmosphere-I recommend trying to sit out on the patio towards the front near live music.

We originally chose this place because it was the only place to park, but I’m really glad it worked out that way. My caesar salad was the bee’s knees. SOGOOD. The portions are pretty big, we could have shared an appetizer and entrée easily. Nice ambiance and good Czech beer! Oh, do yourself a favor and get an old fashioned. Mine was a blood orange with Makers. AMAZING and with a heavy pour.

Not a fan, Unilocalers! I hosted a group event here for 12 friends. We were seated in a claustrophobic back room that was uninspired and depressing. The Maitre D’ was grumpy and really borderline hostile– like we were not welcome. He got straight to business, making us order drinks before everyone had been seated! We asked for separate checks and he growled at us: «NO! It says that on the website». OK. Later, two sweet teenagers were trying to distribute our food, and the same guy berated them yelling«NO! NO! NO! N. O.» It was humiliating for all around. The food at that point was secondary– When you are not welcome into an establishment, it doesn’t matter how grand the food is However, this is not great food. The chicken schnitzel and the roasted duck pleased. The meatloaf was disappointing, as were the weird dumplings, the soggy Caesar salad, and dried out pork roast. The Goulash was bland, with funky pickled bits that did not add to the enjoyment of this dish. Some of our party quite enjoyed the chocolate mousse for dessert! However, after slapping the check to the eldest man at the table(wrong) and calling me «honey» and us having to do a lot of math at the end, the evening was more of a hassle than a pleasant dinner, and I would not ever come back. No, No, N. O., No.

We were having a family member’s birthday dinner on a Wednesday night. Tomas and Eva couldn’t have been more accommodating making it a great evening out. The ice cold Slivovitz was really a hit. Everyone from our group of 5 said they would return again. I can’t wait for warmer weather to check out the beer garden. It really is a Praha Palace!

Started with the baked Brie, which I would highly recommend and then had the red trout for an entrée. Service was a little slow, but we enjoyed it none the less.

Dined here with a group of 14 as it was a last bit of holiday celebration with my girl’s family and it was superb as always. The staff here are amazing even with a large group. My girl and I arrived early and grabbed a drink at the quaint little bar in the middle of the establishment. My Manhattan was great and so was the bartender. He reminds me of those old towne European bar keeps that you occasionally come across that is super cordial and very interesting. On to the large dining area in the back. It was a little cramped as we maxed out the capacity of the room but still we all had room around the table to enjoy our meals. I had the Hungarian Goulash and it was very good. The highlight had to have been the dessert shots… so very traditional and a wonderful way to finish off the celebration with friends and family members. On a smaller scale this has always been a wonderful treasure in the little mountain town of Morrison but it’s nice to see that they can handle their larger groups with such finesse and style as the small groups.

My family has been coming here for years… we love it! A bit pricey? Maybe, but excellent flavors and service, whether you’re in a small group or a group of fourteen. There a banquet room in the back that accommodates larger parties, which was really nice, however it was tight with our party. The dumplings look almost like sliced white bread, so don’t go in expecting the round globes of dough. These ones are pillowy, soaking up the sauces on the plate nicely. The cucumber salad is almost like a soup, with shredded cucumber & a prominent vinegar flavor. I enjoyed it but it might not be for people with less adventurous palates. This most recent visit I enjoyed the German sausage plate. So good. And the dessert shot at the end(again, not for everyone: my aunt wasn’t a fan) is a lovely way to finish off the authentic meal. The only thing that doesn’t appear authentic is the Caesar salad… out of place but delicious and a safer bet than the cucumber salad for people who are skittish about trying new things.
