I love this place. Excellent food. Fabulous service. I live around the corner and regret to announce they have just closed. Their voice mail says they are currently looking for a new location with more seating. I can’t wait til they return. But for now, no more ChaChaCha…

Loved the place, Great chicken wings and papa– smothering croquets. Had a Cubana wrap with mango and avocado, although a bit oily for my taste, I very much enjoyed it. We had the sample desert, which I also recommend, Thai way u get to try everything.

Very good Cuban food in a area where you can not find any. Morris Town thinks they have good restaurants, but mostly all of them stink. But this place is very authentic and good. It’s also BYOB, so you can either bring and drink what you want or bring a bottle of wine and they will make you sangria. I love the atmosphere of the place, very cozy and dark. Feels like you are in a little Cuban restaurant in the city. It gets very busy and if you go there on a weekend after 7:30, you will prob be waiting on line for a while. The Menu is excellent. Just the right stuff on the menu for a nice little place. If you are in the Morris Town area, stop here and you will love the food and also have a good time.

I haven’t had a «miss» yet! The prices are going to seem quite high but it’s well worth the amount of food you get. The skirt steak with the chimichurri sauce is my favorite there. You usually get more food than you can handle so be sure to take it home with ya! They are a bit of a smaller place but a little hidden gem at that. I wish they did more advertising because they could definitely make it big! BESTPART — bring your own wine and they will make delish sangria for you! Excellent wait staff, very friendly and accommodating. I hope they bring back brunch! sooooo good!

My roommate and I went here for dinner yesterday and the service was awful. It was over 95 degrees outside, and the stand alone AC unit in the restaurant was literally set at 85 degrees. We were never brought any water, but got the sangria which was $ 10 for a pitcher which seems pricey considering we brought our own wine. The food was just ok. we ordered the mojito lime wings as an appetizer which were good and each got one of the wraps as an entrée. When we were finished eating, and after waiting for 15 minutes for our check, we finally flagged down a girl that wasn’t our waitress to get our food wrapped up and to get our check. Our waitress apologized and said she didn’t «see» us, despite there being only 6 other people in the entire restaurant.

This was our first meal after moving to New Jersey and my boyfriend and I were very pleased. Being from Texas, we were a bit bummed that it was BYOB because we wanted to try some of Cuban cocktails but we got over that quickly with the quality of the food. We started with their complimentary bread that was warm, toasted, and delicious! Then we had a beef empanada appetizer to share — it was very flavorful and had a crunchy shell. For my entrée, I had the crab cakes with a side salad and their yuca fritas. It was all very tasty but the cakes looked like it’d been deep fried instead of pan fried. That made it a little heavier and I couldn’t finish all 3 of them. My boyfriend had to take one from me. Their yuca fritas had some great seasonings and taste. The vegetable is a bit fry in and of itself so that’s to be expected. The side salad had a light and refreshing cilantro vinaigrette that was a perfect balance to the fried crab cakes. My boyfriend had the mojito burger and it was delightful! Very well seasoned and had a tasty, toasted, warm bun. He thoroughly enjoyed the burger and I got to steal a bite. It didn’t come with a side so he got a side salad to go with it as well. All in all, a great first meal in Morristown. We’ll definitely stop by again!

Came here last Friday night for my cousin’s birthday on recommendation from a friend who lives in Morristown. And what a great recommendation it was. First, it’s BYOB which is always a plus in my book, and they will make you sangria. We started out with some prosecco to toast her birthday and then had two pitchers of red sangria. It was delicious and they put a lot of fruit in it which I find key to a good sangria. There were five of us and they seated us at a table near the door. I thought this might make the experience a little less desirable but it didn’t at all and I barely noticed the people coming and going. We had a reservation which was a good thing because as other Unilocalers have pointed out, the place is tiny and gets packed. I’m not sure how it would be but on a weekend night I recommend making a reservation. Now on to the food… We started with an appetizer sampler that included shrimp and chorizo, mini tostados, and the restaurant’s signature mojoto lime chicken wings. We also got an order of stuffed plantains filled with beef. Everything was excellent. The shrimp and chorizo tastes just like my Grandma makes but I may even like their version better because they use larger shrimp(but shh don’t tell my G-ma). The wings were delicious with great flavor. They even prompted someone in my party to declare them«the best wings I’ve ever had.» As far as entrees go, I had the paella which was filled with shrimp, chorizo, chicken, and mussels over yellow rice. It was also delicious although I was so full from the apps and sangria, I didn’t eat very much and it was a huge portion. The other entrees ordered were the shrimp and chorizo dinner, mojito lime grilled chicken, and chicken Milanese. The milanesa dish was odd because the menu said the salad was served on top of the chicken but it came out on the side. Still, both people in my party who ordered it said it was very good. With each entrée you got a choice of two sides. Most people ordered rice. I ordered fried yucca and we all had steamed spinach. The spinach had great flavor and I loved the oil and garlic seasoning to the yucca. While the dessert menu looked intriguing(especially because they had churros and having spent a semester abroad in Spain during college I love me some churros) we were too full to eat anything else. All in all we had a great night at Cha Cha Cha and ate delicious food. I would love to go back for apps and to try one of the sandwiches in the menu. Try this place! You won’t be disappointed.

I would skip this one. Went here with six other people and brought six bottles of wine to do a tasting during dinner. From the moment we walked in it seemed like they would rather not have us there. Right away they told us we had to order quickly because they were going to need our table later. My wife’s request for water was answered with no small amount of attitude. The bizarre thing was, after rushing us to order right away, it took a very long time to get the appetizers. The food was ok. Some things better than others. The appetizer platter had more misses than hits and much of the food tasted as though it had been sitting on the platter for some time in the back before being deliveres to us. At the end, some of us ordered a dessert translated on the menu as «Cuba’s favorite shells with cream cheese.» When asked about this mysterious dessert, the waitress receommended it. It was essentially thick rectangles of fruit roll up with orbs of warm cream cheese on top(these looked like ice cream and were an unpleasant surprise when bitten into). No big deal, we took a risk and struck out. But when the waitress returned and asked how we liked it, we told her we did not like it, and she agreed, telling us it was one of her least favorite desserts. Ok, then why the hell did you recommend it before? I will not be returning for the mediocre food and sub-par service.

Our food was completely blend and our steak Milanese is something you must try, if you have $ 19 to waste on a gag joke. We are prospecting Morristown to find places to cater food for large groups. Not our pick. Bar looked great and good service.

If you pass this place you probably never noticed it. There isn’t a lot of seating but the inside is very nice. Friendly wait staff… attentive and quick. The place was virtually empty but it was a holiday and later in the afternoon. We ordered the appetizer sampler 1(ham and chicken croquetas, beef and chicken empanadas and papa rellena) The papa rellena(rice ball w/beef) and empanada were very good, the others not so much… very dry. For a meal I had the steak babalu wrap… YUMMY. It was extremely flavorful, cheesy, good amount of steak and delicious! The only gripe I have there is only one type of hot sauce provided and it’s extremely hot. Otherwise if it’s dry, not much you can do. We weren’t drinking but I did see that they have all the fixins for Sangria, you just need to bring the alcohol(triple sec, brandy and Chianti). It’s a BYOB… otherwise everything else was great.

I have had both very good and very bad experiences at Cha Cha Cha. The first time I went to this place I was with my two girlfriends. We shared a fried sampler platter, had them stir up some sangria, and had our share of different cuban sandwiches. The food was what we expected, atmosphere was cool, overall a pleasant experience. It was so pleasant, that when my parents came into town I suggested we eat there. HUGE mistake. This is no exaggeration– we each ordered salads and it took 45 minutes for it to come out. Having been a waitress in college we didn’t want to make a scene but my Dad was getting so hungry that we asked to just get the food to go. Roughly 10 minutes later our salads were out. Not for nothing the salads were good but certainly not worth the near hour wait. The manager tossed us free dessert, but overall an unpleasant experience.

First off its Morristown… and no offense to the locals, but the food in this area usually feels like the knock-off of something I’d much more enjoy in NYC or any other big city. Morristown establishments try hard, and I give them props for it… they just have to keep working at it to earn another star from me. My friend and I shared our entrees, which consisted of chorizo, shrimp and pulled brisket. To accompany this protein party we ordered the fried yuca, platanos maduros and tostones. Everything was cooked well, but though I hardly consider myself an expert on Cuban cuisine, there was an element missing. I just couldn’t put my finger on it. The tostones are worth mentioning, as simple a thing it is to prepare. When it comes to this item, I feel its the opposite of how a person’s rear end should be… the flatter the better, since that reduces the density and you avoid that mealy texture a lot of preparations end up with. The restaurant is clean, dimly lit for an evening dine out, but not so dark you need a pair of NVGs to find the restroom. They played an odd variation of dance music while we were there, but the volume was at a good setting, as we were still able to speak at normal levels to each other. Our waiter was attentive, always making sure our water glasses were filled. I found it a bit odd he persistently picked the glasses up to refill them, and allowed the glasses to come crashing down to our table after he was done. The first few times I actually thought he required some attitude adjustment, but upon closer observation I quickly realized he simply lacked sufficient musculature in his arms to properly control the effect of gravity on the now filled glasses. Unfortunately, I won’t be back to eat here unless the person/s I’m with request it. I’d rather drive somewhere farther for better Cuban grub.

I have to say, after reading some of the reviews here, I almost didn’t go to Cha Cha Cha… I am SO glad I decided to check it out for myself! Had a delicious and super inexpensive dinner there last night. A BYO is also always a nice thing, IMHO. Some of the things we had: Ham Croquette– crisp, but not greasy on the outside, light, and subtle but flavorful inside. Tres Leche Cake– the best I’ve ever had. It is very small, can be crowded and service can be a lil slow… but give it a try– it’s different than anything else in Morristown, that’s for SURE!

Went here with friends last night(Thursday). I was surprised to see that most of the tables were filled mid-week. It has a small bistro type feel. It is a pretty small place with probably around 6 four– to six-person tables and a line of 2 person tables. There is also a wrap around counter(think diner style) where you can sit and order food. Being in such a small space, with the other patrons conversing and the music playing, it was pretty loud and hard to hear the person sitting across the table. Since it was a Cuban restaurant I went with the cubano sandwich which is pulled pork with ham, pickles, cheese and mustard on a roll. The sandwich was almost like a panini. The roll was soft and toasted and the cheese was melted and delicious. Pulled pork was excellent as well. $ 3.50 for the steamed veggies probably wasn’t worth it however. They give you a pretty small portion of these and they were soaked in butter. One friend ordered the crab cake entrée and the other ordered a chicken entrée. Their portion sizes were HUGE and needed multiple plates to fit it all. With any of the entrees you get to pick from two of the sides. Both of these dishes were fried in a thick batter and were pretty heavy looking. I sampled the crab cake which was pretty good, crispy on the outside and the inside sort of reminded me of tuna fish salad. From what I could tell, there was only one waitress handling all of the tables and therefore service was pretty slow. For the amount of tables she was serving, she was very good though. We were in no hurry so it was not an issue. BYO. Also, we did not have any, but they will make your wine into sangria if you would like.

Went there last night and will definitely be back again in the future. It has most of the standard Cuban fare that I’m accustomed to, had the Ropa Vieja which was nice, juicy, flavorful, pretty good quantity too. The tostones were good, a bit dry but tasty, and the beans were, umm, beans. Prices are a tiny bit higher than I’d expect, but BYOB easily makes up for it. The entrees come with 2 sides that might often be separate at other places, so it’s not too bad. Regarding the BYO, there’s a liquor store right next door if you forget to bring, open til 8:30. This is a welcome addition to the Motown dining scene, and I hope they last a lot longer than the previous tenant. Give it a shot, they have delivery it seems as well as they have 15% off coupon on the flier located outside their door(expires April 2010).

As far as Morristown restaurants go, this one is pretty good. Went with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. She had the steak wrap, I had the pan con lechon(suckling pig sandwich), and we shared a side of boiled yucca. Steak wrap was good, maybe a notch above average. Juicy steak in a tortilla wrap, mango for sweet notes, avocado for luxuriousness. Solid, though not spectacular. The yucca was another solid entry, though it’d be hard to screw up yucca: boiled, topped with salt, garlicky olive oil, and chopped cilantro. The star of the show was definitely the suckling pig. Wow. This is the reason to come back to the restaurant. Juicy, unbelievably flavorful, unadorned on its toasted bun but not needing anything… Cha Cha Cha’s lechon is amazing. I would normally give this restaurant 3 stars at best, but this single dish merits a one-star bump. Pork lovers rejoice!
