Cluck-U Chicken

We ordered from here for our superbowl party. The wings were OK, but they arrived colded and had to reheat them. That is pretty unacceptable. First time ordering here, maybe service was off due to the superbowl rush. I may try again since they have an extensive menu beyond wings.

I was very disappointed in the service of these establishment. I came up to visit some friends and where I like there are no click u’s so it’s always a must when ever there is one around. We ordered a 3 piece boneless Caribbean jerk, 10 piece boneless garlic cheese, and spuds with bacon and a side of ranch. We also payed for 2 extra thins of blue cheese. Upon recovering our order I discovered they did not provide us with any of the sauces that we had to pay extra for. Which is fine I understand some people forget. The real kicker is when we got back home and opened our order it was completely wrong. The sauces were completely what we didn’t order. The 10 piece was hot buffalo and I honestly couldn’t tell you what the 3 piece was. We ended up throwing the entire order away. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.

Aaaaaaaamazing!!! This used to be my spot with JJ. There is nothing tastier than boneless buffalo chicken. It’s finger licking good and makes your lunch break exciting. Staff was always nice and I never had any issues here. Last visited in 2008. Time to have some cluck u!

You seriously are the worst cluck-​U! Always was a loyal customer, spent more money here over my high school years than i care to say. Husband and I were hungry one night after a very long day and sick of the usual options in this area for delivery (everything is the same) so decided to give an old favorite a try. HUGE. MISTAKE. Holy cow has this place gone downhill! First of all, the food took almost an hour and a half on a non-​weekend night. By the time our food came, it was 11:30 at night and not kidding-​EVERY. single. thing that we ordered was completely wrong. At this point, we were so hungry we were about to eat our feet, so we took a few bites, only to discover that all of the mistakes led to some really crappy food because none of it was anything that we liked or wanted. We really didn’t want to have to call since it was already so late, but we spent almost 50 dollars and we felt really cheated. So, we called and nicely explained to them what happened. They passed us around to 3 different people for a good 10 minutes. Finally, a man, who i can only imagine was the «manager» picked up and was EXTREMELY rude and combative with me. I was being nothing but nice and nicely explained that i was extremely disappointed because my entire order was completely wrong and it was already so late because we had waited so long. He made me go item by item THREE TIMES, only to tell me that he would send another delivery driver out when he could, but he had no idea how long it would take and, get this: THEY WANTED EVERY SINGLE ITEM RETURNED BACK TO THEM WHEN THEY CAME!!! LOL!!! Are you kidding me? So for 3 hours I wasn’t allowed to eat. now it’s almost midnight. I calmly asked him for a credit for next time. his response: «NO We will not give you a credit for things that are not such a big deal.» LOL THIS GUY HAS GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. I am contacting corporate. Also– not to mention– all of the food has gone SO downhill and even the packaging looks like my 6 month old daughter did it while laying on her back in the crib and then rolled over onto it and slept on top of my sandwich. DON’T GO HERE!!! and, more importantly, don’t order from here, ever.

If you don’t like Cluck U, you’re an idiot. Is it highfalutin gourmet chicken? Fuck no. It’s awesome, fried buffalo chicken. They always give you more than you ask for, not every piece is perfect, but on the whole it’s goddamn great, and if you venture out and try a variety of their sauces, sides, etc., you’ll get why so many people love this place. It’s where you go after high school baseball practice with your team. It’s where you go with your family for a late night snack after a movie. It’s where you stumble with your friends after getting good and drunk on the square.
I grew up in the area, ate Cluck U a ton of times throughout my life, and now that I live out in Los Angeles, I have to maximize the good NJ food I get on my trips back (Because food is better in NJ than anywhere else. This is a fact that I found out way too late). There is a short list of things that I must have on my visits back: Pizza, Bagels, Taylor Ham, and Cluck U. If that doesn’t convince you of just how damn good this place is, then I don’t know what will.
Maybe eating their delicious, holy, goddamn chicken. That’ll convince you.

I have heard so much from my New Jersey friends about this place I was expecting to be underwhelmed, but I honestly absolutely loved it. Boneless buffalo wings were delicious, fries were delicious, Mac and cheese was delicious, and the chicken sandwich was delicious. I can definitely see how this place would be a hit for late night food with all the bars nearby, but I loved it completely sober for lunch! The owner of this place knew what he was doing when he thought of this place. I honestly can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in jersey.

It’s a cluck u. Not really expecting stellar food but it’d be nice if they could get my order right once. Always missing sides that I ask for or giving me the wrong stuff. It’s one of three places open late to eat at so if it’s late and you need a quick bite order if not avoid this place. Def better food than the diner across the way though

surprisingly The nachos are amazing, they take a bit to make but they are definitely worth the wait

It was a good experience… I am not from the area. The reviews about it not being clean are either not true or the owners have listened because the establishment is very clean. I had a three piece meal which came with mashed potatoes. The portion was a little small. If you are expecting KFC this place is not that… Overall it was good and I would come back to try something else on the menu…
I am adding a star because clearly the owners and management care about the feedback and strive to improve their customer experiences…

Cluck U is legendary with the Morristown, Mendham High School students. As a Mendham graduate, I use to come here at least once a week. The Food is always delicious and always consistent. It’s a great place to grab food before or after a sporting event. The hours are excellent as well. I have never tried the 911 «shut the cluck up» sauce, but I’ve heard … «Buckle up»

I love me some cluck. it’s always busy at night due to the drunk croud in the area. ordering to pick up is always a good idea. They have plenty of wing sauces to choose from and I love their fries. I usually get the mini bite combo with either traditional sauce or honey hickory. My boyfriend loves the mac n chz there. all in all solid spot for some quick grub

Worst place in town. Food is awful and the customer service don’t even get me started. DONT GO TO CLUCK U IN MORRISTOWN

Waited an hour and half for delivery and the order was not even correct. Food was cold and disgusting. When I called the manager, he apologized and blamed the driver. Maybe he should realize the driver is his employee and take responsibility.

There is a lot of hating on Cluck U, but I’m not joining in. I have to admit none of the service issues reported by others happened to me so I was OK with the overall experience. This was my fist time here, not that it matters because my wing orders are pretty formulaic. Ten wings sauce on the side and some fries. The only service knock I would give was they put together in a to-​go package and I was staying, but I don’t think he asked and I didn’t say. I’ll split blame for that ⁷⁰⁄₃₀ in my favor.
The wings were crispy and hot, all good. On their own they are pretty dull in contrast to Dirty Wings (San Diego). This is also OK, just means they have to be sauced. I had the sweet chili sauce on the side. This is one of favorites and I try it wherever I go. Their version was as good as LI Wings (NY) and when ordered on the side you get two K-​cups. Plenty for a ten pack. Once dipped the wings are good, hot, and tasty.
Overall my fellow Unilocalers have rated this place 2 ½ stars. Call it as you like, a hard 2.5 or a soft 3, the place is OK and worth a try if you want wings without the whole «dine in» experience.

I’ve been going to this cluck u forever and have never had a problem. I just called to order delivery and the man who answered was horrendous. He was incredibly rude. He actually mocked the way I speak. I ended up hanging up and ordering Chinese food. I’m sure I’ll cave in and go back because I like the sauce.

I usually only give good reviews, but the costumer service they gave me really pissed me off, I called to place an order I asked if they had an item on the menu, they put me on hold for like 2 minutes while he asked the manager, then they told me they did and when I was ready to pay they told me they didn’t have it, that the item wasn’t on the system anymore. So the manager doesn’t even know what’s on the menu. That’s just great

I only come here if I have coupons now. Buy 5 wings get 5 free type of deal. This place definitely improved all the years and it got cleaner. Usually I get combo #5 which is 5 wet bites and a side & drink. Total cost with .50 cent blue cheese is $ 8.55ish. Not the most healthiest food but their sauces are abundant and taste pretty good. I tend to stick with the traditional sauce which tastes closest to buffalo sauce…**Wednesdays are 50cent wings**

Placed a large order for my son and his friends. When food finally arrived, everything was covered with the mashed potato gravy which leaked out, one of the sides was missing and they replaced one order of biscuits with some type of donut and charged me more for it as well! I didn’t realize this until the driver left.
I called to let them know what happened and they wanted to give me credit towards my next order instead of just deducting it from my credit card bill. Finally got them to agree to adjust this bill which is good since I don’t know how quick I would be to order from them again.

Cheap. Good portions. Lousy food. The grilled chicken is dry and the roasted chicken is also dry. Everything is dry. Dry dry dry.
Perhaps the deep fried stuff isn’t dry but it’s pretty hard to mess up deep fried chicken.
They don’t claim to be amazing food so at least you won’t be deceived.
