Subaru of Morristown

I had been shopping around for a car for a while and went to many dealerships that played constant numbers games and we’re not honest. I went to Subaru of Morristown and was helped by a salesman, Greg Hazen. He was so helpful and straightforward that I left with a car that day. I wholeheartedly recommend Subaru of Morristown and Greg!

This is a review for the service department.
I LOVE (yes…that’s how strongly I feel about this Subaru) the service and the staff at this service location. I’ve never had a problem making a service appointment, both online and calling. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful (shoutout to the best, Ronnie!). They typically will tell me what service is recommended at certain mileages but I never feel pressured to accept. When I purchased my vehicle I was given lifetime free oil changes but despite this perk, I think it means something that although I moved away I still continue to make the hour trip back to come to this location!

I was pleased with my first service at Subaru of Morristown, even though the news on my aging impreza wasn’t good. Very happy to see that they now offer Subaru Express service. That’s an edge that Honda service has had over Subaru.

Purchased my first Subaru this past spring from this dealer. Overall it was a great experience. I like how laid back the dealership is and I love how they send donations to local animal shelters as well as allow the service advisers to bring their dogs to work. My salesman was very nice and knowledgeable. The finance person was kind too and my license plates arrived in less than a week. I did not care for the sales manager very much because he came across incredibly rude when I was making the deal, but backed down when I put him in his place. I wonder how many sales people he screwed over with his attitude because I was for a minute ready to walk out and go to a rival dealer who had been professional and kind. I will add however that when I picked up the car, the sales manager apologized for his behavior. Still not cool though.
I had my first service yesterday and could not be more impressed! The valets meet you when you drive up, the service adviser comes outside to meet you and discuss what you need done. I was dropping it on my way to work, but could have had the car back within an hour if I wanted. I was there less than five minutes signing paperwork before the shuttle took me to work. In the afternoon they called and sent the shuttle to get me. I barely waited outside of my job before the shuttle arrived. I received a standard service and tire rotation and they also washed my car, vacuumed/​wiped the inside and armor all’ed the tires! I am officially a fan now and have never been treated this well by a service department! The service advisers were all very nice, professional and I knew I was in a good hands. Thank you Subaru of Morristown, you have gained a long term customer!

I would recommend this dealership. Just bought a 2015 Subaru Impreza and couldn’t be happier with how everything went. It was my first time purchasing a new car. Had to bring my father since he knows the business and didn’t want me to get taken advantage of… He is a stickler in these scenarios and even he was satisfied!!! Glen (our salesman) helped every step of the way. Great customer service.

So a friend (okay my ex if you have to know) asked me for help locating a good used Subaru since she’s self-​admittedly clueless wrt used cars… not that I’m any pro but at least I’ve got one or two under my belt. I know nothing about Subarus other than they have a good rep for getting through lousy weather.
I knew Subaru of Morristown having driven by it a thousand times so I gave their website a shot… and bingo found a 2012 that fit. Filled out an inquiry form, got an email the next day from «Gigi» and a couple days later stopped by and spoke with a «Greg Hazen». Whole process was surprisingly unannoying… no phone calls, no canned emails, just helpful service.
In the end turned out the 2012 wasn’t a good fit (no seat heaters after this winter is a deal breaker) but kudos to Greg for very good and clear advice without a lot of car salesman hot air.

Subaru of Morristown wasted my time and lied to me. Beware of this dealership. After browsing their selection of vehicles we were set on the Xv crossteck, we negotiated a price and told them we had a deal then when it came time to sign paperwork, they completely changed the numbers on us. I would not go back there. slimy-​sleazy car salesmen.

John Cicchino was great from recommending the right car to giving us the best deal on our new vehicle. He was fast, courteous, and extremely responsive. He was also very personable and polite. I would highly recommend working with him if you are in the market for a new vehicle.

My 2012 Subaru Outback has an oil consumption problem. This dealership has been doing maintenance on the car for two years. Subaru, and this dealership have not stood behind the warranty on the car. The only recourse that I have would be to sue them for breach of the warranty contract. It would be more trouble and money than it’s worth. They have been totally unresponsive to the problem. They said it’s «normal» for a car with 30,000 miles on it to need a quart and a half of oil added 3,000 miles after an oil change. I’ve owned 6 cars. Subaru is full of shit.

Stereotypical automotive service shop. My boyfriend does all of the routine maintenance on my car, but I received a recall notice on my ’05 Outback and needed to bring it in to a dealer. I picked Morristown because it’s halfway between home and work. While they had it, I figured I’d have them do an oil change and tire rotation too.
I get a call at work from the sales… er… service tech telling me that I needed to have an oil flush, a steering fluid flush and a bunch of other random work that was going to cost me almost $ 2,000. Even a car illiterate such as I was suspicious of these things I had never before heard of.
Needless to say I asked my boyfriend and, once he was done laughing, confirmed that I was correct and that a car that is driven every single day, and is less than five years old does not require all of this nonsensical work.
I don’t know if it’s because I’m female or if they’re just under great pressure to up-​sell, but I would avoid this place like the plague. On a positive note, after my check engine light came on a week and a half later (hmmm… wonder why) I took it to Subaru of Mt. Olive and they did a great job, didn’t try to sell me a single other thing and even reconfirmed that the extras this place tried to sell me were useless.
Two stars because they finished the work in a couple of hours and didn’t blow up my car or set it on fire.
