Dave is great and always has a terrific recommendation that is customized to our taste. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and has some delicious, reasonably priced bottles in his charming shop.

It’s the perfect wine store for Morristown. with all the BYOB restaurants in town this is the perfect place to find the right wine. I just told them where I was going and what I liked and they made a great recommendation. No snobbery!

This is a great little wine shop conveniently located on South Street. I went in because I was looking for neoprene wine bags for Christmas gifts; they had a nice selection. Even though I intended on just getting the bags, I ended up speaking to the very helpful and knowledgeable staff and bought a bottle for dinner that evening. Overall, this is a great specialty store — stop in today!

Amazing selection… and a delivery service to boot!

went there the other night before dinner to pick up a bottle of wine … the guys in there are very helpful and all the wine is good and reasonably priced … if I’m ever going to a BYOB in morristown for dinner … i’m stopping here first

This place is amazing, great selection of wine and the owner will literally pick out bottles for you based on your likes /​dislikes if you ask. Owner is super knowledgable! They go above and beyond (they chilled 6 whites for me because I wouldn’t be able to pick up until close to my dinner party). Love this place. Love.

Grapeful Palate — providing excellent service and quality wine even in the midst of a dental emergency!

This place is a must visit before dinner at any byo in Morristown. Guy who works there (I really should know his name by now) — owner maybe? is super knowledgeable and not pushy in the least. You tell him where dinner is, he’ll tell you what you want. In and out in 5 min flat.
They also have a limited but wisely chosen beer selection, things I’ve seen in Philly but you sure can’t get at Bottle King.

This place is really great, with a lot of selection and excellent service. Considering most of South Street is BYOB, this is a nice place to stop by before dinner out. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. You can ask them anything about what they carry! The store is well lit and fun to walk around. They have a fridge for when you want to buy things that are already chilled. They keep certain items chilled on hand.

As mentioned earlier, this shop is now The Grapeful Palate and the owners have made a good wine shop even better. The location is ideal for BYO restaurant patrons. The staff is helpful and have made some excellent recs for me. Their selection is not overwhelming and they have all price ranges. Keep up the good work!

Small but lovely wine shop just down the street from the Green in Morristown.
Gabriel’s offers a very personal experience, with friendly and informed staff and an intimate environment in which you can spend some time learning about new wine for yourself, or choosing a gift for a wine-​lover.
The shop is tastefully decorated, with two comfortable library chairs and magazines for additional relaxation.
We were surprised and pleased to discover a nice selection of Argentinian malbecs (and then learned that one of the owners grew up in Buenos Aires), as well as an assortment of Hangar One vodka — not often seen on the East Coast.
We bought a nice assortment of wine, and upon learning of my love of ice wines, they threw in a free bottle for good measure. It’s the kind of friendliness and attentiveness that will insure a repeat visit from us on our next trip to Morristown. If you are in the area and like wines, be sure to check it out — you will leave with a great wine and an equally nice feeling inside.
