Attended the Morristown Street Fair today, and we decided to eat at the Urban Table. The menu had many things that sounded delicious. I chose a dish called«Our Veggie Pita»! I was hungry and I like vegetarian type meals. The meal was delivered in adequate time and the service was cordial and friendly(Maria D.). However what was placed before me was shocking. The«meal» consisted of a small pita bread with a veggie burger topped with iceberg lettuce. I took two bites and became disgusted. The portion was minuscule. The dish was bland and tasteless, and who tops an open faced burger type of «dinner» with iceberg lettuce? It tasted like food made by someone who does not really know their way around a kitchen, and should not be employed cooking for a wage. This item costs $ 12.95. It should not have been served at any price, and certainly not at $ 12.95, I sent the meal back and the manager came over. The only thing he could say was-I’m sorry. He made a point of keeping a smile on his face. He offered to get me something else. I asked for some bread because I was hungry and did not want my dinner partner to walk away from her meal. When I asked for the check, the manager made a point to tell me that I was not charged for the meal I sent back. Did he need to tell me that? In a situation like that, some things are assumed. I would not pay for horrible food which I sent back. However I was charged $ 1.50 for horrible rye bread, which was listed on the check as toast. This was a very poor example of restaurant management and food preparation. The Blimpies across the street and down the block would have been gourmet fair by comparison. Don’t waste your time going to Urban Table, if you are expecting something decent to eat. My advice to the manager: hire a chef who know how to cook. Chef Boyardee would be a gourmet cook by comparison. Also, get a job in a business which you know something about. Your dumb smile does not suffice for tasteless food.

Walked in here after leaving The Committed Pig because they didn’t serve alcohol. This place serves alcohol and has brunch until 4pm. We walked in at 3:50pm and they were still able to take our brunch order which was cool. As I compare everything to unrealistic standards set by Manhattan restaurants, my review of this restaurant isn’t so great. It felt more like a diner than a restaurant. The waitress seemed very uninterested in being there. Not much of a greeting and seemed very bored and irritated. I understand her day may have been long, but show some more interest and excitement to your patrons. I ordered a Bloody Mary — it was ok. Nothing amazing. The type of bloody Mary’s I make on a plane with Bloody Mary mix and vodka. But at least they served alcohol which was nice. The food was great. I ordered a side of cheese grits and a veggie scramble. Both tasted great and I can’t really complain. So I absolutely enjoyed the food but there is room for improvement. The decorations and feel of the spot was interesting. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the place also has a bar. Pretty nice spot but very mediocre. May be back after I check out other restaurants in the area :).

R.I.P TOTHEOLDMENU(especially the steak nachos). We sincerely used to love this place but the cheesy chips and steak quesadilla we tried to make up for the missing nachos both kind of sucked.

On a crowded, warm summer evening, my family of 6 went to Urban Table. Our reserved table was ready for us when we arrived, and they didn’t mind that we were running 10 minutes behind(we called ahead to let them know). The inside décor is interesting… some sort of subway theme apparently? Being a vegetarian, I was relieved to see that had numerous options for me. I enjoyed the Shore Thing cocktail per our waiter’s suggestion. I ordered the spring pea risotto. It was fine. Pretty bland and a small portion for nearly $ 15. It was one of the most expensive menu options despite being pretty uninvolved. I liked how the dish was plated, though the presentation varied at our table; my brother’s hamburger just sat alone on a plate. I also tried a bite of the side of macaroni and cheese. It was also somewhat bland though very cheesy. We had higher hopes for that mac and cheese. We appreciated that the waiter didn’t seem to mind special orders. Some people in our party wanted grilled chicken on their dishes instead of some other meat, and the waiter made it happen. He was very knowledgeable and the ordering process was seamless. Near the end of the meal, a nearby table began to get rowdy. A little girl kicked off her shoe and it went flying into our table, nearly missing my brother’s face by an inch. The family came over to apologize. I was happily impressed with the staff: our waiter, another waiter, and a manager came over within 5 minutes to check to see if everyone was ok and to apologize. It obviously wasn’t their fault, but I thought they handled the situation very professionally. They had no control over the flying shoe, but I was left with the impression that they have very professional staff who seemed genuinely concerned that everyone was ok. I’d give them staff’s professionalism 5 stars. Otherwise, the food, décor, and prices were decent.

I usually don’t review restaurants but I felt like I had to for Urban Table. To begin with the positives, the space was very nice. The hosts, waiters and waitresses were prompt. In short, the service was great. The drinks were well made and prompt. Unfortunately, the food was very poor. The chicken was incredibly over-cooked. The kale salad was smothered in lemon juice and had no salt to balance out the acid. The risotto was mushy and had an over-cooked scallop accompanying it. The buffalo chicken meatballs had a mushy texture as well with run of the mill ranch. Finally, the dumplings had raw vegetables in a flavorless«ginger sauce». If in town, go elsewhere. I was highly disappointed.

Underwhelmed. My chicken was so dry and overcooked that I couldn’t even eat it. My kale was drenched in lemon and oil that I could barely taste it, the«chicken» meatballs had little to no chicken in them, and the dumplings were so unbelievably underseasoned. I expected so much more from a restaurant that advertises itself as a farm to city restaurant. I was not impressed. I don’t usually comment on restaurants, but I had to because my meal was so bad. That being said, cocktails were great and the service was above average. However, I will not be coming back.

Nope. Never going back. Ever. 3rd strike. Don’t know what people like about this place. 2 stars because service is good. Food is far below average. I paid $ 14 for the smallest quesadilla I’ve ever eaten in my life. When it was set down in front of me I thought it was a joke. I mean, it just looked sad. Left hungry. Every time I go I over pay and leave hungry. I will never eat there again. Bye bye Urban table!!!

One of my favorite places in Morristown to grab a cocktail. The service is incredibly accommodating and the manager came to our table to make sure we were enjoying our meal and to hear our feedback. I highly recommend the burgers and their dirty martinis are perfect(ask for blue cheese stuffed olives).

I adore this place; the service, the outdoor seating, the inside layout with open kitchen and décor. I gave Urban Table 4 stars because 3.5 isn’t possible. The food is very good don’t get me wrong, but I wouldn’t say absolutely mind blowing, you know, and I mean that in the most non offensive way possible. However as per service and ambiance, 4 stars are a definite, YES. Definitely not my first, second, third, or last time. An experience I feel is way mention worthy is that once, some time ago, I ordered the same salad in my photos with shrimp(to go), only to find out when I got home that they hadn’t prepared/packed my shrimp. When I called to let them know, they were more than willing to help but I had work, and it was super out of the way. To make it up to me, they offered me a voucher for the exact price of that same salad to have free at a later date. Now THAT, is customer service. Thank you, and goodnight :takes bow and exits stage left:

Every time I come here the food is excellent and it’s a fun atmosphere. The mixed drinks are great, the food is farm to table, it’s right by the green and it’s fun for a few moments away by yourself, a date night or with a group. I have never had a bad experience here. I often sit and do work and the staff is nothing but accommodating. Visit! You’ll love it.

Dined here last night with a larger group and we all woke up feeling ill this morning. We don’t for sure it was the food but we probably wont dine here again. On top of feeling ill non of us were impressed with the food. The spinach appetizer dip was the best dish of the evening, but it is just your average spinach dip. For an entrée I ordered the Farm to Table Curry bowl with quinoa and added tuna to it. The dish itself would have been good but the tuna was downright inedible. It was the worst cut of tuna I have ever seen, and tasted like warmed dry rubber. Out of the six people at our table no one was impressed or really enjoyed the food. The salmon was over cooked, the grilled cheese was nothing special and the burger was dry. The good things about the restaurant are the atmosphere and the helpful waitstaff. Cocktails are decent and they have some good beers on tap. The wine list is unimpressive and over priced for the quality of wine offered by the glass, but they do offer some decent half bottles.

Been here once and had an amazing pulled BBQ chicken sandwich. It was so good, 3 weeks later I went back for it, and they changed the menu. I was very disappointed, the new menu did not have as much as the last menu. The bill wound up being 100 dollars for 3 people and we didn’t even want the food. It was pretty good overall, just not what I wanted. However, the dessert was very good. I got the strawberry pie, I believe it was a special at the time, but I would suggest asking for it.

I went to Urban Table for the first time with a large group of people. There were 15 of us. They were able to accommodate us all which was convenient. The space is pretty roomy. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to start. The spinach dip,(pretty bland), and loaded potato chips. I got the Frozen pomegranate margarita that was delicious! For dinner I split an order of cornbread and fries. The fries are NOT worth it. They leave an oily after taste in your mouth. My meal was the Quinoa and Yukon potatoe mash. It came with chicken and a fried egg on top. The service was pretty good but they were a little slow. For dessert we all split the waffle and ice cream. It was. Huge portion. Prices were pretty good. Drinks are expensive.

I’ve been here for dinner and lunch a few times before so I am obviously a returning customer. The food is always so good and of course I appreciate the selection at the bar. I always find myself ordering the street tacos and a local beer. I especially like that they have trap rock beers on tap since they are a part of the same restaurant group. The only downfall of this restaurant(because it’s so good) there is always a wait on the weekends. I usually just take a seat at the bar or walk down to The Office for a drink, the restaurant will text you when your table is ready and you have a few minutes to get back.

Casual and reasonably priced! Service was good. We went for dinner on Friday night. I had called earlier in the day to make a reservation and they said they were booked. We decided just to walk in and see what the wait would be. After 10 minutes, we were seated. No problems there! We ordered the veggie plate with hummus as an appetizer. The description gave us the impression that there would be some kind of crisps or other dip friendly items along with the veggies, but alas, it was just a plate of raw veggies. So that was just MEH. I ordered the So-Cal burrito and my husband got the fish tacos. We enjoyed them, but it was nothing absolutely amazing. But YUM, the fries!!! So good! One thing both my husband and I noticed was the servers resist the urge to top off your wine glass every five seconds. We ordered a bottle and it always bothers us when servers come up to the table to refill. No thank you, we will refill our own glasses when we’re ready(especially because I drink faster than he does so in the end I will end up drinking more than half the bottle). Not the case here! We refilled at our own rate! Thumbs up!!! We will probably return. I’m interested in the burger selection…

This place was packed with people on a Saturday afternoon. The ambiance is nice .The service was OK !! The menu was limited, I had ordered a chicken sandwich which was just OK. We had also ordered a shrimp and omelette which were bit bland. The shakes were good !

Stopped in for mid-day lunch. Place was packed but service was fast and efficient. I had a chicken BBQ sandwich that was full of flavor. I loved it. My friend had the special scallop BLT. He called it the best sandwich he has had in years and he is a foodie. Excellent ice tea too. Seemed made by the kitchen and not from a bottle. One minor gripe, the fries were slightly past their prime when served. No harm, no foul. Seriously good lunch. 5 stars.
