I’ve never been to a Waffle House before so while I was in Tennessee for my cousin’s wedding and saw one was next door to our hotel I refused to finish my visit without a midnight trip here. Of course I’ve heard that its just sort of a divey little chain restuarant that’s like a diner and nothing to write home about but I didn’t care. I had to do it. It was exactly what I thought it’d be. wonderfully basic. The lady who took our order was really nice. Our food came out fast. I got a huge egg & cheese biscuit for $ 1.10(huh? how do prices that low even exist?!). She didn’t do a good job of refilling my coffee and only asked me if I wanted more after we paid our bill. Of course, this place is great drunk food. It wasn’t even dirty but you sort of feel like you should be when you go here. But in that«feel good guilty pleasure» sort of way. don’t expect too much and you won’t be let down.
