Workout Anytime

Great for travelers. We are visiting family in Morristown and like to workout. Our usual choice is $ 15 a pop and a cousin suggested Anytime Fitness. They only charged $ 5 and had everything we needed — cardio, free weights, and weight machines. It is very clean, equipment is new, and the staff was very nice. This is our new favorite gym in Morristown.

All in all the gym itself was very nice, i worked out there a few times and its great to be able to go anytime. Here is where the problem starts. I had trouble with my job so i wanted to cancel my membership at the time, i called the 1800 # and asked them to cancel my membership, they then proceeded to tell me that i had to go to the gym to cancel my membership. This was already very disturbing as they are the ones who take the money off my card but cant stop taking it? also the gym hours did not go with my work schedule i work 6 days a week 10 hours a day don’t have time to make it to the gym during there «employee staffed hours». So i ended up taking time off to go to the gym and cancel it. I get there tell them i need to cancel and they say okay i put the cancellation in you are good to go we are sorry to have you go etc… Well every day after that the payment place they have used still leaves me voicemails saying something is wrong with my account and i owe them money. I called today and they said it was never cancelled it was pending cancellation because i owe them money? why would the gym not say this the day i went in. Why did they say i was cancelled and wouldnt be hearing from that place again. This is so very annoying and im sorry to leave this review because the employees and everything seemed really nice and it was a nice place. But this is ridiculous, if i were you i would get a gym membership elsewhere just to not have to do with the place that collects there payments. They get you stuck in a never ending unable to cancel contract.
