Atmosphere was nice. It was quiet. Location is right in downtown. Prices were average, in keeping with the area. Choices were many, mostly pub fare. Poutine was very tasty. Only drawback? Gotta lay off the salt folks! Everything was salty.

Service was great, food was decent. Had a variety of items from the chowda, to fish tacos, which were the better of the bunch, to the not so good Caesar that tasted real«lemony». Pulled pork was ok but wouldn’t order again. Overall it’s the 3rd best food option(Rogue/Lost Nation) in the area for food and probably the best spot to watch a game. Will return to try different options & besides, any place that serves Focal Banger will get my business.

It is worth the drive from Stowe(It’s only 9 miles) to eat at 10 Railroad Street. Lovingly restored with a beautiful brass bar, this restaurant is an oasis in a town with few restaurants. My favorite meals are the salmon on a plank or the the half smoked chicken(you can see their smoker in front of the restaurant!), or if I’m really hungry, the burgers are great! Add a railroad rita to your meal and you’ll really be happy!

Nice little eatery, set in a converted railroad station in small town Vermont. What it has going for it: — Areas where customers see was very clean, including bathrooms — Reasonably priced — Great server — No wait — Plenty of parking What is has going against it: — Nothing really comes to mind Couple of reviews complained of slow service. Not sure why the service was slow. We were seated and had our order taken within minutes. There were complimentary home made potato chips which could probably benefitted from some dipping sauce but were decent. I ordered the patty melt with Swiss which was cooked as requested. My girlfriend got the lobster Mac and cheese which she thought was really good. She said there was just enough lobster that at $ 16 you didn’t feel ripped off. All in all a good meal, good atmosphere, and the place was immaculate with good charm and character. Would come here again if I was ever in the area.

We were super excited to try the food but after we waited 20 min for someone to come back to take our order(which never happened), we finally flagged someone down, paid for our drink and headed out. Service goes a long way.

I love this place! Beautifully renovated old railroad station with lots of thoughtful details. Great place to grab a burger and a beer or enjoy the Sunday football buffet loaded with munchies. Very excited to see two limited edition brews on tap from Switchback and Otter Creek/Lawson’s! Homemade kettle chips before the meal were delicious. Surprising there was no dessert menu because they had many offerings when I asked, including home made key lime pie. Staff was attentive and friendly :) Will definitely come again!

A little pricey for the area it’s in but a nice local bar nonetheless. Came here on a Saturday night and were able to sidle up to the bar right away. The bar has a nice mix of local beers and decent wines. I opted for a cab blend from Healdsburg, CA which was fine(at $ 8 a glass it seemed a little high but oh well.), and I ordered their spinach and artichoke dip. It is super garlicky which I appreciated, but non-garlic aficionados may not. It would be awesome if they served a few celery or carrot sticks along with the pita and tortilla chips it comes with, but that’s a minor nitpick. Adding some craft cocktails using local distillery products might be a nice way to lure non-locals in the future!

We ate here for our evening meal. Wife had salmon and I had nachos. Food was a 3.75−4. Nachos were good but only about half had cheese on them. The jalapeño medallions listed in the menu were actually fried breaded jalapeños and were great — if they had been on the appetizer menu I would have ordered them. Unfortunately only 6 on a plate about 14″ in diameter. Salmon cooked fine and was good. Service was slow due to management. 3 servers at bar and 10 customers. 1 server for tables and 3 to 6 tables occupied during the time were there. One had six and was about 100 feet or more from the server station and kitchen and the group there was high maintenance. Poor design or placement of customers — management issue. 9 minutes before server greeted us and almost 20 minutes before drinks arrived — even showed up after salad and we had finished chips. Server not the most efficient as a lot of trips to back for only one item per trip. Management should have reassigned server from bar to help with tables. Food arrived fine and in a timely manner. Shouldn’t seat group at far table until no other choice. Missed a sale on second beer due to time to get first one — thought I might have to spend the night waiting on it.

Best american restaurant in Mo’ville. The fish and chips: the fish is a whole filet of haddock, perfectly battered and fried. Crispy hand cut chips included. Perfect with the malt vinegar. The Reuben and the smoked turkey version are whoppers of house made meat. Lobster roll is minimally dressed and the Blue Donkey burger is a classic. Nicely redone space, great bar area. Totally crushes the Charlmont.

We were very disappointed in this restaurant, the food was over spiced, my lobster was very undercooked. Did not come up to our expectations or the reviews that we read. Not worth it!

I had the fish and chips, my mom had the mac and cheese and my dad had a burger. They served homemade potato chips before the meal. Very good chips! My parents enjoyed their meals. The fish and chips were delicious. The atmosphere was great. Very nicely updated train station. They have some cool old pictures of the building.

Great beers on draft, wonderful homemade soup, and great fish tacos. And they had Heady Topper! It was nice to chance upon this place for lunch. We were on a mission to find Heady Topper beer, and the local market came through for us.

Food is excellent… bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly… owners even pop in once in a while. Wednesday trivia is fun… very comfortable place.

Most days, I would rate 10 Railraod Street as 4 or 5 stars, but last nights dinner was a disgrace to their usual level of service and food. So instead of rating it one star, which last night deserves, I am averaging my experiences with them to a 3. Food: Usually great and served at a good pace for a busy restaurant/bar. Last night I ordered their BBQ Chicken. According to the menu(and what I’ve eaten before) it was supposed to be Maple Smoked Chicken with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. I was instead served fried chicken with mashed potatoes and sugar snap peas. According to our server, the kitchen decided to change that menu items preparation, but not really communicate that to the servers, or bother changing the menu description. So anyone expecting what they’ve had before would be greatly disappointed to see what came out instead. Since that wasn’t what I ordered, our server offered for me to order something else, and I did. Their steak on special was delicious. There was a slight miscommunication on what level it should be cooked to, but was easily fixed by cooking it a little longer. Service: Usually fast and attentive. Last night was not. When I was having problems with the food, it took 5 – 10 minutes for our server to come over and check in even though it was obvious I hadn’t taken a bite– both times. It took 10 minutes to get my drink and over 20 to get my husbands.(His drink was a little more complicated than mine, but neither should have taken over 5 minutes). A good thing for last night is they were very nice about the food issues and comped some of the meal. 10 Railroad Street– please update your menu whenever you change food preparations. You have enough people who come back and like the same thing that when it suddenly changes to something completely different, they’ll be surprised, but I don’t think it will be pleasantly.(Fried chicken is nowhere near as good as the maple smoked deliciousness you used to serve) It also cuts down on what people with food issues can consume at your restaurant. As it was, I had 3 choices I could eat on your regular menu. Now its down to 2, so long as no other items have changed.

I’ve visited 10 Railroad a few times. It helps that its walking distance from my house! Their fries and Onion Rings are delicious, they have good cocktails(I love the Rum Punch) and everything I’ve had food wise has been prepared and cooked perfectly. I call this my Vermont«Islands» because it reminds me of the«Islands Restaurant Chain» in Southern California, if it existed here in Vermont. All in all I recommend this place for burgers and drinks. Great for meeting up with friends too!

It was my birthday today and the lunch I, was served was at the top of its game. I had the corned beef sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. We were greeted at the door, very attractive staff, bar beverages actually included alcohol which is rare to find now and days. All in all I will be back and I will refer it to anyone that asked where to dine. Laura was our waitress very attractive, proper and attentive as well.. Five star rating from me.

My family and I just had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The drinks and the service were okay, but the food was not worth the money at all. We got the short neck mussels to start with. They were way too spicy and three of the 12 were served were dead. For our main course we ordered eggplant parm for $ 16 and NY strip steak for $ 25. The eggplant parm was unseasoned and the steak was extremely tough. The night was a letdown and I will never be going back. Will stick with Bee’s Knees next door!

I knew I would like this place as soon as I saw that they listed Aperol Spritz as a standard aperatif! We order the spinach artichoke dip as an entrée and it was crunchy on top and creamy inside. My brother ordered the shrimp and lobster mac and cheese, and found it very rich(a good thing!) My mother’s scrod was good. My ribeye steak was tasty but not as tender as I expected. If the steak had been more tender, I’d give the place 5 stars. Still it was a very satisfying meat treat. The three of us split a piece of carrot cake, which in fact gave each of us a sufficient dessert. Plus we were drawn into the trivia contest going on at the bar. Too bad we didn’t enter as a team, as we got most of the answers! I will definitely recommend this restaurant.

New restaurant that opened up about 4 months ago. The atmosphere is comfortable. The staff is very welcoming and engaging. All the food is 100% made from scratch. Overall an excellent dining experience.
