Not sure what the others were complaining about. The place was clean, the staff was very friendly! The food was delicious. No complaints what so ever! Would come back!

I don’t get all the negative reviews. This place is great. I had a sandwich and cookie since it was lunch time. The Italian bread was fresh, perfectly toasted, with a delicious and generous portion of meat, cheese and toppings. The interior was cute and very clean. The staff was extremely friendly. I had no issues and was very pleased. I will definitely be back to try their breakfast menu and, of course, their bagels.

One star only because I can’t seem to submit a review with zero stars. The employees did not seem capable at all. The woman did not know how to ring up my simple order, it took her several tries on the cash register. The man had no idea how to make a cappuccino. I believe he may have used instant coffee because he brought a cup out from the kitchen, he did not brew it from the machine. Then he stood there trying to use the milk frother and never got it going. He and the woman whispered back and forth and he pretended like he was working the frother but I could tell there was no steam coming from it. He then poured the plain milk into the cup and handed it to me. When I opened the lid they asked me «Is something wrong? It is fine right?» I did not have the time or patience to ask for a refund, but I will never go back there and would not recommend it to anyone. Perhaps there is a reason I was the only customer at 8:30 on a weekday morning.

Maybe I came on a good day but I had great service when I was here. It felt just like I was back in NY. It may not always be service with a smile but I had some fun NY style back & forth with the gentleman behind the counter. Come here for the bagels… Its the closest you’ll find in the area. The bagels are made the right way… boiled first to get that chewy crust then baked to give it a golden brown. The bagels aren’t pretty… they’re not all consistently uniform or perfect but they are good, especially the poppyseed & the everything. Sadly their bialys didn’t measure up to my standards(grew up with Kossars)…they’re too big & a doughy disappointment. They do have a decent lox spread & very good cream cheese. They also have Acme whitefish salad which is so hard to find down here. Haven’t tried their other menu offerings(can’t stay away from the bagels) but there seems to be some good grill items like Italian style subs. They have NY style baked goods & sweets like cannolis(unfortunately pre filled), black & whites, danishes & crumb cake. As for the coffee, meh… regular deli style coffee, nothing special.

Literally got the worst breakfast bagel and iced coffee I’ve had in recent memory, possibly ever in my life here. The bagel itself was alright, but they used craft singles type cheese here, which is not acceptable. Coffee had a slight sour tint to it and didn’t not taste like it was made with fresh coffee(also considering it was made in under 30 seconds). Way overpriced for the quality. I could have just gone to Dunkin’ Donuts, paid half of what I did and got something way tastier. Also, as many of the reviews below also mentioned, the service here is atrocious. No greeting, no smiles, mumbled responses, added cheese when I didn’t want any, forgot my iced coffee, and didn’t give me my receipt so who knows what they even charged me for. Did I mention I was the only person in the store at the time?

Went here today with our kids. Would not normally write a bad review, but felt compelled to let others know to stay away. We purchased a kids meal sandwich, the orangeade, was just plain orange juice, and it was passed due. We didn’t realize until we looked at the bottle at home. While there there was an older gentlemen cleaning the coffee station. I witnessed him taking a coffee stirrer that was on the counter and looked to be used and put it back in the bin for others to use again. Also, witnessed him reach into the garbage to grab a used napkin to wipe his hands. He had a runny nose and was constantly wiping. Very unclean and not very sanitary.

I’ve eaten here for years. It is nice to have an option other than fast food for breakfast. The breakfast wraps are really good. Yes, the food does come out slow but they cook it fresh once you order. You are not getting eggs cooked way before you get there. They also seem to go in order of when you arrive. It might be a little slow if you just want a plain bagel. At first I did not think they were friendly but it seems to be cultural. If you are a regular, they are very friendly. I see this all the time in Morrisville. Just the way it is so get over it.

Not so much of a deli as a bagel shop with a grill for eggs and other short order dishes. I have been here several times because they have passable bagels. Not NYC great, but certainly better than store bought. I am a bit of a bagel snob as my job in university was at a bagel shop. So, I call these so-so bagels. Shmeres are ok, but wholly unremarkable. If you come after early morning, be prepared for a shortage of certain types of bagels. Bagel prices are at a premium. I haven’t gotten anything else apart from the bagels because frankly, I haven’t been tempted with anything that looked or smelled good. I am sure the counter people are perfectly fine people. But they are not front-line food service professionals. No small talk. No smiles. Minimal eye contact. Just orders taking and serving food. The lack of pep means that the place is also not sparking clean. Perhaps it is a bit of metaphorical poetry that there was a spider web spun between the two rabbit ear antennas below the TV. Not sure if it is a true homage to NYC or insensitivity, but the giant poster of the Twin Towers bummed me out. That and the service makes me want to eat my bagels and leave quickly. So, if you’re like a lot of my neighbors who are from New York, come here if you want a half decent bagel. But be prepared for service where even New Yorkers are saying Fuggetaboutit.

While the service may not be with a smile, who cares when you have bagels this good? Poppyseed ones are divine.

Bagel is ok, cream cheese is not. Service not with a smile & move very slow. Wish I’d read reviews before stopping in.

This is a great place to get a filling breakfast or lunch. From bagels to wraps to pancakes, these guys do it all. Delicious. Fresh. Everyone is really friendly. Great place overall.

I had a really bad experience here and do not recommend this place at all. I came when the name was NC Bagel or maybe it is now NC bagel but either way, I wanted to use my Citypass coupon for buy one get one. Since the name had changed from NC to NY or vice versa, they would not take coupon. I drove 20 minutes to meet sometime for lunch to use the coupon but oh well. The service was just really poor and I don’t even remember the food. I don’t usually give low scores but this one left a bad impression. I will go to Brueggers or another place when I have my bagel craving.

Eh. Not so great. Service is not friendly and slow. My breakfast bagel is not so good. It just doesn’t have any flavor. I don’t think I would want to come again when there are more friendly tastier options else where. Right next door is peppers and they are scratch made goodness.

Sandwich was only ok. Wasn’t worth the wait or money without a coupon. Not very good service and I had to wait 15 minutes to receive my iced coffee, that had barely any ice and wasn’t that good. Probably won’t go again.

Great local gem for sandwiches. They have quality Boars Head lunch meats, and use quality fresh ingredients. I have never been disappointed with food or service.

I love this place. it’s a perfect low-key spot to spend a couple bucks for an easy breakfast after rolling out of bed! the bagels are fresh, the service is quick, and they have plenty of breakfast/lunch options besides their bagels. and i noticed in the Unilocal details it says they don’t have a tv… they do. it’s great to watch some news with breakfast, coffee, and my husband.

This place is a hit or miss. I’ve had good, fresh bagels or breakfast sandwiches and then other times I’ve had hard bagels or undercooked eggs on breakfast sandwiches. It seems the busier the time, the worst the food ends up. Last time had to wait on sandwiches with a full restaurant and the people preparing the food were very overwhelmed. There was no ice in the road machines and others continually had to ask for cream or sugar for their coffee as the coffee station had run out. This place is a try at your own risk… just hope it’s not busy.

I tried this place for the first time today because I had a coupon. I got the sundried tomato bagel with two eggs, cheese, and turkey sausage and my mom got the everything bagel with two eggs, cheese, and turkey sausage. The total cost of our brunch was $ 4 with the coupon, but without it, it would’ve been $ 8. Honestly, I thought that the taste was only okay. It wouldn’t have been worth the price without the coupon. They didn’t ask us what kind of cheese we wanted, so we just ended up having cheddar cheese. The everything bagel had a lot of flavor, but the sundried tomato bagel tasted dry and a little bit sweet for some reason. My dad and sister both got panini sandwiches. My sister got the Cobb Turkey sandwich and my dad got the Roast Beef Cheddar sandwich. For some reason, the sandwiches they got tasted like it had blue cheese in it(which I am not a fan of) even though they didn’t ask for it. Also, my dad got the potato salad side. The potato salad was creamy and delicious, but it only came in a very small plastic container like the kinds they use to give you sauces in when you take-out at a restuarant. The service was good though(maybe because there weren’t that many people there on a Monday morning).

This place was great when they first opened. Their bacon chive cream cheese on an everything bagel hit the spot. I stopped eating bagels because they don’t fit into my diet for a minute(gotta keep it looking good, trying to be an underwear model before the age of 40). Anyhow, I stopped on on a Wednesday morning around 8:15am, the place was empty. I ordered an everything bagel with lox spread and a coffee. The first coffee cup they handed me was filthy and banged up. I told them to give me another, no problem. Then they took forever to make my bagel, I am the only one in there!!! Then, I leave and get to work and the bagel isn’t fresh, and the amount of creamcheese spread on their was enough for a cracker. Very disappointing. I through out half of the sandwich. Never again(unless you are buying, who can deny free bagels?)

First time customer. Ask for bagel & creamcheese. Bagel is burnt, and they dont even ask for what type of creamcheese. In the hurry I get a burnt bagel with a wad of plain creemcheese — something I wont even eat. Dont think I will ever go back again.

Just tried this place for the first time and sorry, I’ve had NY bagels and these are a sad comparison. I really wish they were better, but they just have very little flavor, and I had an «everything» bagel too! There were three people working and it seemed they could have used a fourth. Don’t get me wrong, they were working as fast as they could, but another person would have made everything move quicker for a busy late Sunday morning. We might, might return to try the pancakes and french toast, but for bagels we’ll definitely go to the other«chain» which is much tastier and a whole lot faster. Sorry ’bout posting the same picture twice of the bagel case, btw.

For a fast and simple breakfast i recommend this place. And hey why not grab a pound or two of some good deli meats while you are there. Great staff that always greet you when you walk in the door Suggestion: western wrap on tomato tortilla, three eggs, ask for light butter.
