These guys were awesome unloading our trailer after a move from Arizona. They worked fast, were super professional, friendly, and had the best rates of anyone I called in the area. I’ll definitely use these guys again and highly recommend them.

Most horrible move of my life, totally new agenda on the owner’s mind during this move. I’ve used them on several different occasions with good results. This time it was all about the money and how much they made. I am a brain tumor survivor on disability, I have many challenges on a daily basis. I also had neck surgery prior to my last move. I thought these people were hired for moving, packing loading whatever you need. Unfortunately, I was not as ready as I could of been to make the move. All I know is that after all was said and done. It had cost me $ 330. more than the previous move. My brand new Fridge now has a nice dent and a light fixture was broken. My files in my desk are a nightmare because I was not allowed to remove the drawers prior. And 1 of my very nice rims got damaged due to my frustration dealing with someone that being not very professional I had made a comment about having so many unmarked boxes and was told by the owner «Good Luck». It’s been 30 days since making the move and have still not found my belongings. All I’ve found is the extra hour I got charged in taping items that required no tape. I did speak with the owner to attempt to resolve my issues before making a nasty complaint like this. I advised him that my wood desk was still on it’s end requiring it to be put down. I hired movers because I cannot lift over 30 Lbs until my neck is fused. Everything I said his response was the same, So you need our services? We have a 2 hour minimum. I’m on disability, who can afford another 2 hour minimum after being charged 330 more than the prior move. Same stuff moved, except my piano was not moved by them on this occasion. Less stuff, less miles used on the truck, more gas used by $ 15. I was told it takes longer on the weekend and I was not as ready for the move as the previous time. At an hourly rate, how does the weekend matter. I have so many photos of my stuff just tapped to no end. Items that I wanted dealt with differently I was advised were fine. Everytime I go into my garage and start trying to find stuff, I see all the tape everywhere. I did also let him know that they had left a drill at my house. He cared more about getting off the phone with an unsatisfied customer than he did about retrieving his drill. Business is about Customer Service, not lining your pocket with as much $ as possible. My Pastor advised me that he worked for a moving company and it was required to label the contents of the boxes. He offered to come and assist me since the owner was so money hungry.

These guys saved our butts! We were moving from the central coast to Oregon, and we got a 26 foot U haul truck. Having 3 bedrooms full of stuff and appliances, I was very concerned about everything fitting. I had surgery recently so I needed some guys who could get the job done right, and boy did they exceed my expectations. They worked for us for 5 hours, and they took very good care of everything. Their loader is the best I’ve ever seen! We got to Oregon and not one piece was broken. Their ability to get everything on that truck was nothing short of amazing! They even helped me load my pick up truck with misc extras stuff, and didn’t leave until the truck was locked up and ready to roll. We paid them and tipped them, and I have never been more happy, they literally saved our butts! Cheaper than the other guys, and I’m sure just as good if not better! These guys know moving!

I have used these guys twice now and love their service. I’d recommend them to anyone moving.

We’ve been using Affordable Moving for 15 years. We have a few rentals and have always recommended them to our tenants. Recently we moved house ourselves and, of course, contacted Dave at Affordable Movers. We could now see first hand what a great job they do. Non of our furniture was damaged and no scuffs or scrapes marked the walls of the house. This was indeed amazing as we were moving to a smaller house with oversized furniture. We recommend Affordable Movers to anyone. Oh, We must mention that they are truly affordable.

Horrible experience! Affordable Moving came highly recommended, so I felt pretty confident choosing them for our move from Los Osos to Morro Bay. I contacted Dave, we spoke several times before the actual move. We were moving a ³⁄₂ house which was moderately furnished. I way told by Dave the estimate was 6 hours for this job, 4 hours to load, 2 hours to unload. At $ 110!an hour, that would be $ 660, more or less.
Come day of move, not only was my bill $ 1100, Dave’s team of movers severed the power cord on our refrigerator (see pics), damaged about a five foot section of wall in a bedroom, and chipped the corner of our marble dining table. We got a $ 100 discount for the duct tape splice job done on the fridge (thanks for the fire hazard), the banged up wall Dave blamed on my wife, who never touched the bed which was dragged along the wall, and the chipped marble dining table I was told basically by Dave that his guys didn’t do it so too bad.
Dave apologized to me because I was obviously not pleased with the experience, but that is no consolation due to the that I have $ 1000 worth of repairs to do, after paying a $ 1000 moving bill. I feel like we were ripped off in the worst way. I would never use, or recommend these guys to anyone.

Robert and Ron were great helping us unloading our moving truck we hauled over from the Bay Area. I would have to say I would definitely use Affordable Moving Services again in any future move. They were on time and helped in a timely manner. Thank you two so much for all the help!

I highly recommend Affordable Moving Services – a great, low-​cost alternative to expensive moving companies. Rent your own truck and call Dave to provide the labor and expertise – you won’t be sorry.
Big thanks to his team who showed up on time, were efficient, friendly, and very careful with fragile items while also minimizing the hours worked. They had all the hand carts, pads, tie-​downs, all the items so the truck could be packed safely and efficiently.
These guys are very good at what they do. So glad I found them on craigslist! I would hire them again in a second – and probably will.

I was very happy with my experience of Affordable Movers. Dave was very helpful and easy to deal with, and the two movers who came to the house were very professional, courteous, and extremely organized. They moved the contents of a large room into a small onsite POD, and there was a great deal of room leftover. Very impressive! I highly recommend Affordable Movers to anyone, and will definitely do business with them again in the future.

Dave was great to deal with. He had helped us move my dad to Casa de Flores earlier so we called on Dave to help move my dad’s stuff out when he died. Dave was able to fit us in his schedule — particularly appreciative because we were coming from out of the area.
