Can I get a negative 5! I’ve been coming here for 18 years! The bartender cut off my boyfriend and took my drink from me after I asked why he was cut off! Don’t come here!@@

This place is so fun! They gave me and my friends a free half pitcher when we went just because it was the bottom of the keg(a little foam don’t hurt nobody!) Also, it’s genius that they have the pizza place next door connected to the bar for when the munchies kick in! I will definitely be going back again.

We are regular visitors to Morro Bay so we decided to try Legends since it is within«staggering» distance to our hotel. We wished it had some regular tables instead of only high bar tables, but hey, it’s a bar. It is a small dive with fun ambiance. The moose head and wall of liqueur bottles is impressive and scenic. There is a juke box but the music is not too loud. We were there two and a half hours hanging out, drinking, and talking, people watching, and eating pizza(which we liked). My husband ordered shots of fireball whiskey which were $ 4 each and they were very full shots past the fill line. He also ordered a bud light on draft which cost $ 4.75. They had an amber hills ale on special for $ 2 a glass, but we didn’t try it. I got the impression that this is a vodka type of bar, so I ordered a bay breeze, which was $ 7.50. The bartender, Bill, makes the cocktails with half alcohol, so they have enough to give you a buzz for sure. However, since they do not use fresh juice, I didn’t like the bay breeze. So I switched to a Harvey wallbanger which was also $ 7.50. It was really good, so I had another. Regarding the pizza, we ordered a medium«special» which was a combo pizza for $ 20. We liked the pizza and the crust was thin/medium crispy. It took a long time to get the pizza, but we didn’t care since we were there to drink. A small pizza would have been plenty for the two of us. I also ordered two waters from Bill and he tilted his head and exclaimed«water?!» He was joking and gave us some big glasses of water. There is a long shuffle board table and some guys were playing on it which was neat to watch. There were some salty dog local fishermen sitting at the bar which gave the place some extra character. It is a cozy place to drink and relax. We will return.

It just doesn’t get any better than this — if you like a bar like Cheers! Wonderful, friendly staff, wide selection of libations and they even have a window that opens to the adjoining pizza restaurant to order some of the best pizza in Morro Bay! You gotta hand it to the owner — this place is awesome. I’ve owned bars and restaurants and this exceeds even my standards! See you there. Chef Kevin

I didn’t like that my drink was weak since dives usually deliver(especially locals bars), but I’d return for beer, wine, shots(or possibly another drink) for the… + $ 3 Jose Cuervo shots all day long. + an order window to a pizza place next door. it’s like a glory hole! + Shuffleboard and pool. + Comfortable bar stools with elevated foot rest and purse hooks. Though I don’t have a purse. + Friendly servers. One slid my Coors Light down the bar like I was in Tombstone. + King of the Hill on TV.

I’m in Moro Bay a couple of times a year for a couple of days, usually on my bike. I usually it here mid t late afternoon. They do have live music in the evenings, which I’ve only heard once. Kind of a weird layout for the music with the stage facing the front window and small listening dancing area in front of the stage. There’s pool tables and an enclosed patio where smokers can enjoy their beer with a smoke.

Maybe the bartender was having a bad day. Or maybe he is always grouchy. I asked what beers he had on tap, because it appeared to be about a dozen micro brews and a couple I didn’t know. He didn’t want to tell me what they were but rather pointed at the tap at the other end of the bar. I started with a Murphy’s. It didn’t taste clean. Rather it tasted like the tap hadn’t been rinsed in a long time or maybe I was the first person to order Murphy’s in a long time. After sitting with a empty beer for about 5 minutes I ordered a Sierra Nevada, thinking that was going to be simple enough. He came back and told me that it was going to be a few minutes to change the keg and asked what else I wanted instead. I told him I was fine waiting till the keg was changed. That seemed to piss him off. After that Sierra Nevada was finished I took my business elsewhere. Place looked like a cool place to hang out but in the end it was a little disappointing.

Nice friendly people, bartender served up some mean drinks. And pizza you order from the window was pretty good. Will be coming back the next time we are in Morro Bay

Beer cold good set up, mostly a locals place which doesn’t bother me but you don’t always get the warmest welcome. Pool tables and shuffleboard..

Awesome locals bar. Bartender Bill has been around for years, hes a straight shooter and pours a decent drink. They have a pool table, shuffle board, and juke box. Cant go wrong with having a few, or 10, drinks here.

Our first 4+ hour sit at the bar only cost us about $ 70, not a bad deal. But above and beyond the decent prices is the hometown feel and really great people that we came across! Sunday afternoon, James behind the bar, locals dropping in and out like it were their neighbor’s house. Nobody snubbed us for being non-regulars and they even included us in conversation. Drinks were strong and made well. I first had asked for a Bloody Mary«extra spicy» and James whipped me up one made with horseradish! Interesting and really a great flavor. I had a couple of those and then switched to a classic well drink. I think besides the fact that the drinks were cold and served with a smile, this place just felt like«home» from the minute we walked in. It’s definitely a «locals» bar, but the locals are friendly in Morro Bay! :) Thanks for a great time… CHEERS!

Not that legendary. Prices were good and service was ok. More of a place for locals it appeared.

Probably one of the top bars in the little town of Morro Bay. Cheap prices for Jack and Jose, but the coasters for your drinks are Dodger-themed — bleh!!! There’s shuffleboard, pool, and darts here; but they wouldn’t let us play darts because the place was too crowded or something. RANDOMFACT: I’m not sure what to make of it, especially since I didn’t try it out, but there’s an odd window in the corner of the bar where you can order pizza!?!

We stopped in for a quick beer last weekend after a day of wine tasting in Paso. Festive, strong drinks(from watching him pour). The place was packed with locals which was a great sign. If the locals come then it’s gotta be a good place. The bartender was AWESOME. Very friendly, seemed to know everyone and had a great sense of humor. The only down side for me was the dog under my feet? I’m not a huge dog lover and this one smelled like dog(which I guess he should since he is one) but that’s not what I’d like to be sniffing while sipping my beverage. However that’s not enough to knock off a star. Total dive bar that seems to have a deep history and loyal customers. If we lived in the area I could see this being our hangout too. We’ll have to settle for it to be our«when we’re in town» place.

Cool, chill bar in Morro Bay. The bartender was funny and prepared our drinks nicely. Would definitely recommend this place to friends. They have a pool table in here if you’re into that, too.
