I’ve had great experiences at Longhorn across the US This location is horrible. I always sit at the bar I’m usually alone and I love to watch sports. The bartenders are extremely unprofessional, lazy, and will literally look you in the face without extending the greeting of the day… as if they’re doing you a favor by you spending your money. If it’s more than one person at the bar, wait times increase by 100%. If you look disappointed in the poor service even worse service because they’ll atleast get that right. The culture here is broken from the top down. Morale is low and a sense of urgency is nonexistent. Bad attitudes prevail and fear of getting fired is but a dream. I’m embarrassed to call this place s restaurant in my neighborhood.

This place is under staffed and how do you advertise mussels and sold out at 2p.m. pn your busiest day? 25 – 30 min in still no drinks and the salad came out that was supposed to go with our dinner! I am so ready to walk out right now but it’s supposed to be a date with my fiancé.This is the second time in 3 months but this will be the last time believe me sorry Clayton county longhorn.

Overly crowded due to slow service. They were out of beer on tap and brought the soup and salad out the same time as the main meal.

If you like you food over cooked, this is the place for you. Tried to get our burgers at a medium temperature… they could not get it right. They over cooked four burgers… Should have left after the terribly old, fishy mussels… advertised as a special, the mussels were horribly fishy. Even the server spoke to the smell. Our burgers were very well done… spoke with a manager, who assured us that the, remade burgers would be perfect. Again, very over cooked. We wasted our time waiting for that over cooked mess. If you want a great burger, you will have to travel to Atlanta. Won’t mention any names of the better burger places for the sake of anyone thinking I want to sink this place in favor of another restaurant. The better Longhorns is south of this one… off Interstate 75 a few miles south of Eagles Landing… avoid this location. You worked hard for your money… don’t waste it here. Staff seem nice but, the manager seemed to not be available when the second round of over cooked mess came out… you’re better off going to the Steak and Shake, on the same street.

First off, the service here is awesome as it is a full house on a Sunday night… We was seated on less then 5 minutes on a party of two. The waitress that came to our table was very friendly and fast. The bread that she brought was sooo hot and fresh, amazingly delicious. The appetizer, that we chose for free for signing up for their newsletter is totally AWESOME. the parmesan cheese and other cheeses baked with the stuffing is great!!!(Highly recommended) The salads with the raspberry vinegarette dressing was very crisp and fresh. So far, everything is going excellent!!! The STEAKS!!! Were both cooked correctly. Just«pink in the middle» is how I like mine«medium well» Perfect night… Wonderful service, food and awesome team here!!! Kudos to the chef!!! WILL return…

Instead of visiting on the weekend, I decided to visit on a Thursday night. Upon arrival, I was advised there would be a 15 minute wait, which was fine. When I was seated, waitress Brandy appeared; took my order; delivered bread, salad and tea; then, I waited, waited and waited some more! Finally, my 8 oz. Flo’s filet with baked potato arrived! I ordered my steak medium(«warm pink center»), but when I cut into it, there was NOT any red/pink … I waved and Brandy said«that is definitely not medium … It’s well done!» She returned it to the kitchen for another one to be prepared … Yep, I waited, waited, waited and waited some more! Brandy delivered second filet, which was medium rare(a little too bloody for medium, but hey, at least it wasn’t well done!) Brandy mentioned she would advise the manager per Longhorn’s SOPs. My visit should have taken an hour max. Two hours after arrival(and missing an appointment), I was ready to pay, and the«exotic» looking female manager made an appearance, saying«I understand you had a problem with your filet. Did the kitchen cook you another one?» I replied«yes.» Her reply was«well, alright then!», and walked away, which Brandy and I found to be extremely RUDE! I have been dining at Longhorn’s since the 80s, and occasionally, I’ve received an overlooked steak, but the managers have always explained«their cooks are professionals and paid well accordingly; whenever a steak is returned, it is noted, charged against its cook, and if the cook has excessive returns … Pink slip(their system of quality control). Other managers have comped a free meal, a free dessert, or a discount for my next visit … Certainly NOT«well, alright then» and abruptly disappeared! This rude manager just lost me as a steady customer, and I noticed she received bad reviews in other reviews also, so this is her normal behavior! I live between this location and the one located on Jonesboro Road, and have frequently visited both. Now, I will make the Jonesboro Road location my exclusive, and try the Outback for comparison!

Unfortunately we enjoy Longhorn but this location just can’t seem to get it. Upon arrival to a over half empty restaurant we are told there is a 15 minute wait. No name or buzzer as this guy remembers faces. Nice attentive bartender while waiting. Sweet new server who was really good based on experience — The Blackened Shrimp dish was great and C enjoyed all the bites I didn’t steal. My lamb chops were good but I had to request a steak knife versus man handling them. I do try to eat like a lady even though I will always believe salad should be eaten with my fingers. I attempted to ask the hostess who remembers faces when I didn’t see our server. This hostess was so engrossed in his personal call I received what would be considered less than a acknowledgement. Alas I sat down and when the server came by requested a knife and also let her know that the horseradish mashed potatoes should be horseradish with potatoes as they were super strong. She kindly replaced the side with a sweet potato. A expected visit from the manager when I expressed my concerns was sadly not really apologetic. My hope is the great bartender and waitress find awesome positions in a restaurant with equally supporting staff– it takes a village with a great chief and this location apparently needs to do some rain dances or tribal chants to the Gods to bring them up to par with other Longhorns. Tough for us as selections are already limited in the Spivey area. We hope they step it up!

Went here for dinner tonight I must say that this was a disappointing visit as Longhorn is one of my favorite restaurants. We were seated immediately, however after 10 minutes no waitress, we had to flag down another employee to see if someone was coming to take our order. An woman name Ashley appeared and asked how long had we been waiting and made a joke«that she wasn’t surprised» and she will be taking care of us. I found it weird as she had walked pass us several times, after taking our order she continued to work the side we were seated. On the plus side the food was good but the service sucked, almost lost a customer today due to slow service.

You know Longhorn is one of the few chain restaurants that I don’t mind. I got the Rib and chicken combo with the Sangria. I’ve been here a few times and I’ve always had a decent experience. Easy in and out, came here after a bad experience at Outback. The wait staff was good and friendly and the meal came out pretty quickly. If I had to say something negative it would be about the location. You can clearly see the restaurant off the highway but once you get to the exit it’s on you have to kind of locate the back street to get to the establishment. Otherwise for a good night out and reasonable prices this is the place to hit up when in the area.

I absolutely abhor this Longhorn in particular. I work at a dealership in the area so oftentimes if I’m craving a steak, Longhorn is the immediate choice. A few of my coworkers have stopped coming here because one had their car broken into and the other received bad service. My experiences are pretty hit or miss but lately they’ve all been misses. My boss and I decided to order takeout here about 2 weeks and the woman that answered the phone was extremely rude. I brushed it aside and ordered my food anyway. Today I decide to order food again, told the woman who answered that I wanted to place a to go order, and she put me on hold for 6 minutes. I called back, told her I wanted to place a to go order, was put on hold again for 5 minutes. I was on hold for a total of 11 minutes. How? Why? That’s unacceptable. And who knows, it probably would have been longer if I hadn’t hung up and decided to go some place else. You’ve lost another customer.

01/26/2015 Me and my family group of 9 visit the local MT Zion long horn location only to mess up my special day!!! if you are looking to celebrate a special event(birthday, anniversary, ect…) please do yourself a favor and choose a more happy environment long horn!!! this establishment is ran by the wrong personnel and being a long horn restaurant it being very misrepresented!!! i have never been treated with such manner!!! The occasion was my birthday and i am very un pleased. first and for most the waiter was trashy hood! he failed to bring out bread after being asked several times and at moments when we would glance to see what he was doing, he was talking with team mates taking his time to serve us. When asked why was he taking so long to bring bread he did not let me finish my question and yelled back«I ONLYHAVETWOHANDS» and talked down to our table like as we were in the hood! The waiter does not have respectable long horn manners as i visit long horn very often with my family and we are NOT happy! As the waiter was bringing the food out after so long he «mistakenly» hit me in the nose with the plate by «mistake» as my family seen he did it on purpose! when i asked to speak to the manager he raised his voice and started pointing at me in front of the other customers shouting at the manager from far«come to talk to her«Pointing at me very rude!!! The manager(Asian manager) did not do anything just apologize and acted as if i did not get hit! the management is trash! the manager didn’t even acknowledge the matter and seemed as if he was scared of his own personnel. The manager does not know how to manage a restaurant. long horn is a great establishment but NOT the Mt. Zion location please beware of the professionalism of this establishment! Don’t take a chance and ruin your birthday like these people did me! The place is the worse will NEVER recommend to anyone!!! i will leave review in all sites in regards to this establishment to warn people to spend their hard earned money in a more proper environment! our check was about 200.00 and we were not please at all!!!

I have to start out by saying that this location is the best in the Atlanta Metro area. I have been to different ones and this is the best hands down. When you enter this location someone greets you with a smile and try to seat you as soon as possible. The food is excellent always HOT and FRESH! The wait staff is very friendly and personable. They give great recommendations as well. It’s a great date spot as well as family friendly which I love about it. I love the music that they play in the restaurant as well. I give them 5 stars!!!

Service and food was good… not as busy as I would have expected… just wondering how much longer this location will remain open or will it come to it’s demise like others in the area.

So everybody and they momma was at Longhorn. Of course, it was Mother’s Day. Reminder: Never go to a restaurant hungry on a special day. The wait was 85 minutes. We sat in the car and talked and talked and talked and didn’t realize that the buzzer was going off. I paused the convo to check if it actually went off and it did. Not even sure how long we were really waiting but once we checked in with the hostess, we were seated right away. I ordered a something new on the menu — Orange Ginger Lemonade. The waitress warned me. She said that not everyone likes it. My cocky ass is thinking«Well, Im not like everyone else. Give me the Lemonade lady.» I politely told her that I would give it a try. I took 3 sips and tried to take it down and figure out what was really in this«Lemonade». It came in the glass clear and syrupy with 2 slices of oranges floating at the top. My last sip I figured out that the ginger was actually a splash of ginger ale. While my beau’s mother and himself kept getting refills, I was still sipping on this disgusting drink. I couldn’t take it anymore and asked for a Sweet Tea. I don’t know why I even tried to betray that good olé Longhorn Sweet Tea. Anyway, I went with the usual — Salmon. This time I opted for the Salmon with 2 sides and a salad. I normally just get the Salmon Salad. Mashed potatoes and Mixed veggies accompanied the salmon grilled to perfection. This time it had a mild sauce glazed on top. My beau’s mom had steak and green beans. I guess she didn’t fancy the green beans because that was all that was left on her plate. My beau had the Porterhouse — as usual. No complaints. During our dining, the manager walked by and asked how everything was and handed me and my beau’s mom a gift card for a complimentary appetizer for Mother’s Day, good through June 3, 2013. How sweet and Im not even a mother. I shut my mouth and accepted the card. LOL We finished off with the dessert — the Sampler. We all had different tastebuds. Im a chocolate freak, he’s a cheesecake fanatic and his mom said she would nipple on the apple pie. We tried all three. The apple pie was topped with a cinnamon vanilla bean icecream. OMG there’s a party in mouth! Im still thinking about it today. It was delish. Longhorn is probably my favorite steakhouse. I don’t eat steak but the salmon is awesome.

I visited this location with my book club about a month ago and was given great service. I asked for a medium steak and received a steak that was medium on one side and medium rare on the other. I didn’t find that out until I got home, as I hadn’t eaten the whole thing at the restaurant. The steak had good flavor, and I actually didn’t mind it being a little underdone. All in all, it’s a nice chain restaurant.

Decent steaks for the price. Better than most chain restaurants, but not as good as the top tier including Ruth’s Chris, The Capitol Grille, etc. I won’t downvote them because they are a chain, as they deliver a steak that gives lots of places a run for their money. They can accomodate large groups, and are efficient with orders, with minimal kitchen sendbacks, and splitting the check for larger groups.

I’ve visited this particular location on several occasions and figured now I really need to leave a review. Well, to start I must say that I had to average out the entire experience from past to current to be fair. First, the food has been and has always been fresh and delicious on every visit which is the main reason they even got 3 stars because the service is not all that good. I’ve had a different server each time and I’m not sure if its how they are trained or if on the day I happen to come they are having a bad day because they act like they don’t want to be there at all. One waitress even had to nerve to address my husband for his order and didn’t even acknowledge I was sitting next to him, I had to say excuse me ma’am I want it place my order as well, then she responded oh ok go ahead, at that point I was already ready to go, if I wasn’t soooooooo hungry I would have, lol! I still like longhorn, I just may find another location to patron in the future.
