RAISE THE BAR INSTEAD OF LOWERING EXPECTATIONS!
When I am visiting a mall for the first time, I like to find the familiar stores that I enjoy, so stopping at this Macy’s was a natural choice. However, it is one of the saddest Macy’s I have ever visited and is totally consistent with the flavor of the mall. It is a Macy’s in name only as much of what I encountered (clothes and shoes) did not represent the quality that Macy’s typically carries. I walked straight to the shoe department which is always my starting point any any department store. I believe that the shoe department reflects the tone and flavor of the store because if the shoes are not quality, I am really not interested in seeing anything else. The shoes I saw were of the «Payless» variety so I left after a quick visit.
In an effort to appeal to a specific customer base, they «dumbed» down the quality and selection. What an insult!

I’m not generally a fan of Macy’s but had a great experience at this one thanks to a very friendly checkout person. Came in for a suitcase — nothing more, nothing less. Found what I needed, got the price via the convenient self-help scanners, made my decision and got out. Happy to have gotten in and out so quickly as I was headed to the airport.

Only because I love Macy’s but this location needs more designer clothes. The ladies dept does not see Ralph Lauren at all and only a few pieces of Tommy. I live close so it’s convenient but ordering online should not be the easiest option. Overall the employees are decent
