I decided to try Martins today with family and I got a big surprise. I found hair in my soda.

The absolute worst Martin’s establishment I’ve ever been in. The wait time for dining in is beyond belief but today was worse than usual. Stood in line for 45 minutes to receive my 1 steak, egg, and cheese biscuit. After sitting down and taking a bite of my biscuit I realized the meat was cold. I can’t believe after waiting 45 minutes they served me a cold biscuit. I demanded a refund. I WILLNEVERGOBACK!!!

I finally got a chance to stop by here. The first thing you will notice is a very long line lol! I barely made it in the drive thru without being in the road. Although the line was long it moved quicker than I anticipated. I already knew what I wanted so the menu was a breeze. I had a large bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit with a small order of cheese grits. The biscuit was hot which I loved! I have a string distain for cold or just«warm» food. I added strawberry jelly to my biscuit. I enjoyed every bite. The cheese grits were ok. Not the best but not the worse I’ve had. I added salt to them. I had a few lumps in mine. I would try them again though. Only because I love cheese grits. I ready for my next visit if that tell you anything. I may have to leave for work early one morning so I can go back. I need a location closer to my house.

This place is good southern breakfast done right! The grits(add a little salt) are too die for! The biscuits are better than other breakfast places. Everything is made fresh to order and the prices are reasonable. A small sausage biscuit runs about $ 1.50. I usually get a biscuit, cheese grits and a coke and I leave there under $ 6. My only complaint about this place is they are sooooo SLOW in the morning! I usually go around 6:45 am and that seems to be their busiest time. I have to allow at least 15 mins sitting in the drive thru or waiting in line inside(not much faster than the drive thru). Even the people that work there seem to have no sense of urgency. So when you do have some extra time in the morning, I suggest giving Martin’s a try.

We came for breakfast and both got breakfast platters. The eggs were okay. The smoked sausage was tasty. The pork tenderloin would probably have been great as a biscuit sandwich. The biscuits were really good. The cheese grits were just grits with a slice of American cheese that you had to stir into the grits, not my favorite version of cheese grits. They were also bland. The hash brown patties were crispy and greasy in the best way, although they could have used a touch of salt. Coffee was mediocre. Overall, great value and good food. I would eat here again and try the amazing looking chicken biscuit we witnessed on another person’s order. The drive-thru is a convenient option, and inside counter service was pleasant and efficient.

Great food reasonably priced. Inside is not very clean so if you can get beyond dirty foots and counter, is great.

Nice and cozy atmosphere. The food however is just not great. The biscuits, for one, are good. Everything else is not very good. I had the sausage gravy which was just very salty. My friend had grilled chicken platter and he told me that his plate was awful. It’s a nice place to relax in the morning. Food gets out fast. But i would only order biscuits from here, nothing else…

Really great made from scratch biscuits with a great selection of options., Definitely not for the health conscious but great for the budget conscious. Really casual well worn dine in setting.

Well I still haven’t tried the sweet tea recommended by Mick D. but I have had the Biscuits. Good food from scratch & decent prices. You can get out of here and eat well really cheap. If you come here on the weekend you will find the place packed with people. I usually get my stuff to go so I can avoid the crowd. It’s a small location so you will the parking lot crowded. Good food fast, so take that Waffle House…

OMG Love the chicken biscuit for breakfast! The chicken was so moist and the biscuit was buttery goodness. The orange juice was pretty good too. I would recommend this place to all of my coworkers and friends..

The biscuits are amazing! They’re not overly buttered like most places. The eggs are nicely cooked. Very nice people.

Biscuits are great! Prices are better than any fast food restaurant combos and quality of the food is much better. Just seems to be healthier. Only 4 star rating because I have never tried the lunch/dinner menu, but breakfast is a 5 star.

I really tried to like this place, like I really did– but I can’t get into it. The biscuits taste a little to doughy for my taste buds. The grits are actually pretty good. I haven’t had their lunch and really not interested in trying it. I don’t plan on returning anytime soon.

I love this place for breakfast! I am a huge fan of the breakfast food here. The biscuits are made fresh and it definitely shows and no matter what you put on them your mouth will be happy. The grits are awesome as well. In my opinion, no else can come close on the grits. They are made with tons of butter and you can have cheesed added. Although this is never the cleanest place, I do recommend that people give it a shot and if so you will find yourself enjoying some incredible Southern goodness.

There are two major reasons to visit Martin’s: Biscuits and sweet tea. These folks make, from scratch, some of the best biscuits to be had in the Southern Tradition. And there’s a variety of meaty goodness to put on top of that biscuit and eat it.(I tend to stick to plain ol’ egg & cheese on a biscuit.) Okay, there may be other reasons to visit Martin’s. They do have a solid lunch menu and they do some mean chicken. But I personally just gotta have a biscuit. I *might* even put a Martin’s chicken biscuit up against an annoying-cow competitor of theirs. Yes, THOSE guys.
