SERIOUSINFRASTRUCTUREIMPROVEMENTSNEEDED. We visited the Christmas Ranch for the first time on Saturday, December 5th. It was a nice visit, but the loose gravel walkways were difficult for strollers, wheelchairs, and for anyone who has trouble walking. The dark parking lot, and lack of directional signage on how to get back to the highway was difficult.(the marked exit exited on a different road than the entrance with no directional signage on how to get back to the main road, or back to the highway.) We had fun right up until it was time to leave. Our van became stuck in the parking spot I was directed to park in due to the wet and muddy ground in the parking lot. We asked if there was a tractor that could help pull us out– there wasn’t one available. We asked for a shovel– there wasn’t one available(it’s a ranch, right? No shovel?) In the end, we called a tow truck and it cost $ 80 to pull us out of the spot we were directed to park in by the staff. We spent $ 20 to get stuck in the mud, and another $ 20 for dinner. I have attempted to contact the Ranch to tell them my concern, but no one returns messages– I guess they aren’t interested in hearing about bad experiences.

12÷20÷14 We went there with my grandkids and loved it. It’s a little commercialized but the boys were 5&4 and they were so excited. The only reason I am giving it 3 stars the parking lot was not well lite. You should go there you’ll love it!

What an excellent way to spend a Sunday evening. On the negative side, this place is hugely popular. It took well over an hour to get in. The paths are all dirt so they get pretty muddy. However, you can’t expect much for $ 15/car($ 3/person for us). There is a huge roaring bonfire with picnic tables surrounding it which is very cool place to enjoy hot chocolate. We ordered a bunch of food and drinks and it only came to $ 21. There are some pretty neat shops which focus mostly on Christmas decorations. There is a train and hayride as well which were worth the $ 4 charge. If the owners of this attraction invest a few dollars in some gravel to prevent mud, and make sure their food supplies are stocked, this place could be even better. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend spending an evening at the Christmas Ranch.

So excited for Christmas lights!!! The lights here are very excellent, but, you’d better be ready to shop for Christmas knick knacks, because that is the main attraction here. The entire village is a series of little shops filled with ornaments, etc. There is a little food court with a mix of okay food, I did witness one if the teenagers working the food counter sneeze all over a plate of pizza, then hand it to the woman who ordered it. This encouraging my fiancé and I to wait until we got home to eat dinner. All in all it was a fun Christmas outing, but it was probably a one time trip, next year I think we will find a less expensive, more interactive place to visit!

This place is really nothing to rave about… The price was decent, only $ 13 per car, but it was definatly not worth my 3 hour wait to actually get to the ranch and parked. I live about 12 minutes away from this place and it took us 3 and a half hours to get up the drive and parked. It was absolutely ridiculous and, in my opinion, not worth the wait. The website says the ranch closed at 10, but according to the lady at the gate they would stay open until past 11 since there were a ton of cars waiting to get in and they were still selling food even after 9. However, the line to get food was about another 30 minute wait so we just walked around to look at the lights and went to get food someplace else. They lights were just alright and it really wasn’t as large as I thought it would be. My biggest complaint besides the waiting 3 hours was the dark and super muddy parking lot. Actually, the whole place was extremely muddy(glad I didn’t have to push a stroller!) All in all, it was an experience that I probably will not do again and I will stick to just going to the Cincinnati Zoo for the festival of lights.

My boyfriend and I came with my parents, sister and her boyfriend. We had so much fun! This place is actually pretty big and we enjoyed getting up and walking around looking at the lights at our own pace. We all met up around one of the bonfires and drank hot chocolate… very Christmasy. There were a few shops you could pop in and Santa was available for the children to talk to. There was also a little train they could ride on. Great for family fun.

THE place to go for all of your Christmas ranch dressing needs! My wife almost had a meltdown 3 years ago when we underdressed our salad. Now that I have this place I’ll never worry about that again! We did get a divorce back in the Fall but it wasn’t for a lack of Christmas Ranch dressing! Luv ya!!!

Christmas Ranch is a Christmas Rip Off! Everything is a sales gimmick. I have visited free light displays that are far superior to this. The decorations appear to have been collected from yard sales and multiple sets of lights were not functioning. Every shop has the same merchandise that can be purchased at box stores for the fraction of the price. The highlight of my journey to this ranch was the nativity scene and the sweet little pony in the manager. Also I was unable to get an answer of what % of the proceeds goes to the Shriners. The parking area was not lit and I was concerned about tripping. There was only one set of restrooms with two stalls in the ladies room and one stall and a urinal in the men’s room. It seems that should be against a health code. The line to the ladies room was extremely long. Seriously it looked like the line to heaven! We had to wait one hour and forty five minutes to get to the ranch and turning around wasn’t an option because it is one way up and one way down. The best part can be seen by driving by on the main road. It was a huge waste of $ 15 and two hours of my life! A one star rating is generous!

I came with my sister and our good friend, and we had a blast! There were mostly families with younger children with a few couples sprinkled in, so we were the only group of childless twenty-somethings. The ranch is mainly geared towards children, I guess — but there wasn’t anything overbearingly childish about it. Like I said, we had a blast, and at only $ 15/car(or $ 5/person for us). The staff was exceptionally friendly, the food was actually good, there was some type of pygmie horse and two billy goats, and they had a lovely roaring bonfire. Train/wagon rides are $ 4/person, and they take you to some outer lights and decorations that you can’t really see from the ranch.(BTW: the lights are pretty fantastic.) The shops didn’t sell much that I would buy, mostly ornaments and delicate figurines, but they added to the overall Christmas spirit. Would I return? Absolutely. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Here’s to being young at heart! Note: The paths are dirt, so make sure you check the weather before coming. It had been raining before we came and the mud got pretty deep in some places. We would have been fine with proper shoes, but our«fancy» suede boots didn’t fare so well.

The Christmas Ranch… A holiday village with over 300,000 Christmas lights all set to music, and if you purchase the glasses, you can view some of the lights in 3D. Parking, or to enter the village is $ 12.00 a car. No handicapped parking, however the attendent did his best to find us a fairly close place to park. There are several shops, PACKED with Christmas decorations to purchase. Santa’s workshop, for a visit with the Big Guy himself! A picture with him can be purchased for $ 10, or you can snap some shots with your own camera. A bonfire outside will warm you up from the chilly nights. Tickets can be purchased to ride on a horse drawn cart, however I did not see that it was available last evening. For the hungry bunch… their are several options to purchase… hot chocolate, funnel cakes($ 5.a bit pricey), a buffet meal(not sure of the cost), to name a few. Partial proceeds go to The Neediest Kids of All and Shriners Hospital for Children. The Christmas lights were very pretty. Otherwise, it was a bit to commercialized for me… each shop carried pretty much the same items. Very little local or handcrafted items.
