I’ve had enough of this place. It could be great and quite possibly your experience may well be. For the third time now we have been denied service when the place says open and everything is on. When someone walks into your establishment to spend money(we are talking about making a coffee drink, not a full course meal) and you tell them you are sorry we are closed now in a not so polite way I’m done. On another occasion my wife, children and mother in-law were asked to leave on a very cold evening because they are closing. The issue here is clear, there is no direct competitor so they can get away with treating their customers with a secondary attitude.

Stopped here for a 6am coffee on a drive from Peoria to Chicago. This place is simply adorable. You walk in and wonder if it’s the coffee shop or if you accidentally walked into someone’s house. It’s cozy, cute, and the barista was really friendly. I ordered a butter rum latte and a banana Nutella muffin to snack on during my flight. It was so good, I didn’t notice I had Nutella all over my face until a friendly flight attendant made me aware. The menu included a large selection of coffees, house made pastries, and even hot breakfast sandwiches. I definitely recommend a stop here, especially if you have time to enjoy their adorable patio space.

Between the excellent service, cozy atmosphere, delicious treats, and unique coffee drinks, you really can’t go wrong with Eli’s! Definitely a favorite for doing work(there’s a quiet room upstairs) and catching up with friends.

Eli’s is a good, local shop with light food items ranging from breakfast sandwiches, salads, and pastries galore. Even though they do not roast their own coffee, Eli’s buys from local roasters which brings a solid standard to Morton.

Stumbled upon this little gem via recommendation of a local shop owner and couldn’t be happier! Such a cute little café serving up fresh sandwiches, salads, wraps and of course desert! My friend and I split a house salad that even though it was pre made, was fresh and delicious. We followed the sandwich with a half melt, turkey, brie and apples! So delicious and filling and was complimented with homemade veggies chips(we need the recipe). After our amazing lunch, we followed it up with a seven layer bar that called our name at the checkout — this was pure bliss and the perfect way to end our meal. One negative, while dinning, we could not get free refills on our ice tea; while we enjoyed the ice tea to no end, $ 3 for an ice tea with no refills was a little steep. All in all, I will be back!

This is my first time ever being in a house turned into a coffee shop and it definitely adds to the cozzyness of the coffee shop. I think it is a brilliant idea to have a designated quiet study area upstairs because i have been to many loud coffee shops. This is the first coffee shop I have been to that is able to host big groups. They have plenty of outdoor seating and indoor seating. The coffee is another reason to check this place out!

This is a cozy little place to have some coffee, read a book or study. I heard they also have board games but I’ve never come across anyone playing any board games during my visits.

I was really happy to discover Eli’s. Part of a small, local franchise, this location has done a great job of converting a neighborhood home into a coffee and sandwich shop. Free wi-fi, lots of seating options, and cozy niches and rooms for work or friends makes it a wonderful place and an asset to Morton. It can get busy around 3 when the nearby schools let out as a popular after school spot; but stop in for a sandwich for lunch and you’ll be pleased. I certainly was.

This place is God awful. 3 orders, ALLWRONG!!! The girls in there were absolutely awful, horrible, wretches. I will NEVER go in there again. I don’t need some snotty 16 yr old to be flippant with me, give me a hipster that actually knows about coffee any day, verses an ignorant snotty brat.

I really like this little coffee shop. I never have had a bad experience here. I LOVE their syrup flavorings, and the fact that they offer amaretto! My lattes have never disappointed! I have never gotten food here but the wraps, sandwiches, yogurt cups, soups, and many other foods look fresh. The service has always been friendly, helpful, and welcoming. There are three main rooms, and an outside seating area. The upstairs is soley for«quiet study» which is nice for students wanting to get away from the«coffee house gathering» groups that’s pop in. I’ve always found a seat and things always have been clean! One of my favorite coffee houses in this area. Definitely worth a try!

Eli’s, aka, my favorite coffee shop in Morton! Cozy house, few board games, classic drinks, pastries… done deal! Sometimes this place gets busy — It can’t help it though. Its a popular place that just can’t fit loads of people. There’s no need to expand, it would definitely loose it’s charm if it did.

While in Morton on a shopping expedition, we decided to stop in at the one and only coffee shop in town to re-caffinate for the rest of our day. Being a Saturday, we thought this was going to be a quick stop. There were two very young(16 at the oldest) girls at the counter and another in front of the counter talking to them. One was making her drink and the other appeared to be in training. We stood there for about 5 minutes looking at the menu and at the baristas without being greeted while they chatted up their friend. Even my mom, the most patient soul in the world, muttered«Let’s go girls» under her breath! When they finally handed their friend her iced tea that they apparently created from scratch, we we were up to bat! We both had flavored lattes, mine iced & my mom’s hot. The room with the register is extemely small and filled up uncomfortably with 4 other people while we were waiting, mostly because the one 16 year old was telling the other every single step of everything she was doing. We finally got our drinks and skedadled out of there. I was hoping to taste something worth waiting for but both of them had such little syrup, neither could tell what kind the other had gotten. I got one 12 oz and one 16 oz for about $ 7 so not much bang for my buck. Also, a tip for the owner, maybe don’t train new staff on Saturdays. But who knows, I’m not from Morton, maybe that is their slowest day! It’s definitely not mine though so next time, I will be stopping off somewhere a weeeee faster!

This is an adorable coffee shop in downtown Morton, about 15 minutes outside of Peoria. It is an old house that was converted into a coffee shop, so there are lots of rooms to choose from when you’re finding a seat. We were here on Saturday morning and there was live music outside on the porch. There is outdoor seating if the weather is good. The upstairs has«quiet» seating for intimate conversations or studying. My latte was good and my husband is a big fan of their coffee. Their food is just OK. I recently relocated to Peoria from the East Coast and I’m going through serious bagel withdrawal.(but that’s not Eli’s fault, obviously!) They have free wi-fi, so bring your laptop. I will definitely be back!

While I love a good cup of coffee, Starbucks locations just don’t cut it anymore. Eli’s is a great business with friendly staff. The bakery items are a bit pricey but good quality.

I spend a lot of time at Eli’s as I «work from home» or, rather, «work from Eli’s.» It occasionally gets noisy due to kids or other groups chatting loudly but, isn’t that a sign that the community loves being here? Yes, and they do. They bake everything on premises and have a huge selection of coffee drinks(and will gladly customize your drink). There is a cooler with salads, wraps, and cold drinks if you’re looking for a bit more variety. The staff is all local, and are always engaging and pleasant. The owner is often about and it is clear that she truly cares about the business, her customers, and the staff. If you’re anywhere nearby you really should stop in.

Great syrup option(buttercream and pumpkin are on my top list) for lattes and amazing amazing muffins! My favorite being the lemon berry(just pretend it’s not loaded with sugar and fat and enjoy!). Also has cooler with to-go lunch items like hummus, sandwiches and basic salads. Definitely best place near work for a nice morning start.

Eli’s small coffee bar carved out of an old house on one of Morton’s main streets. The atmosphere is great with cozy furniture inside and a few tables outside, even one on the porch. The coffee is decent and the food that is available is all good. Their menu consists of wraps, salads, soups, yogurt and of course cookies, muffins and the like. Oh! They usually have a few papers about inside and free wifi always.
