I’ve been to Moses Lake several times but didn’t even realize they had a Goodwill until we drove through earlier this year. This Goodwill location won’t knock your socks off, but if you’re on the road and want to stretch your legs, it’s worth a stop. The store is medium-sized and a little run-down, but clean and well maintained. It mostly has clothes — the housewares section is pretty small, and so is the books section. However, the books have colored tags, so they are eligible for colored tag discounts(which most Goodwills don’t do)! A nice bonus if you like getting used books. There wasn’t a lot of art or furniture, though. Goodwill has been carrying more new marked-out Target items(clothes, housewares, and office supplies), and this location had an unusually big stock. Unfortunately, those items tend to be higher in price and aren’t eligible for the colored tag discounts. You’ll recognize them by their special tags and the prices that often end in $ 0.80 increments. We didn’t find anything during our visit, but I’d go back if I were in Moses Lake.

Their books are only a buck… otherwise I don’t venture much into this store. It’s dark, cluttered and dirty, and the staff is usually less than friendly.

Goodwill is an institution. Selection is pretty bleak if you are used to thrift stores in the Seattle area. The prices are kind of high sometimes which is also a shame. Still, it’s Goodwill and you never know what you will find here.
