We stopped here tonight on the way to Boston after spending our last night in New Hampshire. We were the only people in the whole place and the server was super nice and friendly. We got the chips and salsa to start with then got wings. They were decent traditional wings. I got the tacos durso and he got the combination enchiladas. The tacos were not my taste they tasted heavily of cinnamon but whatever. The beans were ok and the rice was ok. He liked the enchiladas. I should have gotten the fajitas. Oh well.

Decided to stop here for lunch after being in Tuftonboro for the morning. We have driven by here many times, but have never stopped. Somehow, the log cabin style building for Mexican food never enticed me which is pretty shallow thinking because who cares what the building looks like if the food is good?!? So got past the building, which has been home to a few other restaurants, and went in! The inside was appropriately decorated and welcoming, although a little chilly. Only 2 other tables were taken so I wondered about that, but maybe they just aren’t busy on a Sunday afternoon. Only 1 staff member was present in the dining room so it was probably a good thing it wasn’t busier. Regardless, she was friendly and prompt with our waters and complimentary chips and salsa which were homemade and very good. Since it was lunch time and we didn’t want a huge meal, we decided to share the appetizer plate which I believe was called poblano. This turned out to be a good choice and was just the right size after indulging in the chips and salsa. It consisted of 3 items along with guacamole and sour cream — nachos, quesadilla and some yummy fried, chicken stuffed rolled up app that I can’t for the life of me think of the name. Everything was good — tasty and fresh and even though it was more than enough for the 2 of us, it might not be enough for everyone. Prices were good, service was great, drinks sounded very inviting and the fresh guacamole being made at another table definitely looked so yummy! Our server did inform us they will be closing for the winter. Hope it really is just for that season because we would like to return and try some other items.

Fantastic fajitas! I had the chicken. Plenty of meat and peppers. Lots of onions and plenty of tasty burn marks. Great value!

I love Mexican food and I have had it from Texas up the east coast, Chicago and Cali! I can say Wow! If you love Mexican like I do you will not be disappointed! It’s a small quaint little restaurant with a lot of character but most of all the food will blow you away! The drinks were crazy good too! I’m so impressed!!! Loved our waitress, she’s so sweet. Alexandria is great at multi tasking, She’s a bartender(great bartender!!)!and a super waitress at the same time. Ordered the nachos and they have their own spin, not your traditional pile of chips with cheeses thrown on top sprinkled with meat. This is a real cultured dish of a true nachos from Mexico. If you are looking for your American made Tex-Mex then don’t bother, if you are looking to step into a little Mexican getaway with yummy food then this is your place! It won’t disappoint! Loved it!

While driving through the back streets of New Hampshire we realized we were famished, so we decided to stop in at this Mexican restaurant. We originally decided to drop in as a joke since we saw the«Authentic Mexican» sign out front and thought that this restaurant would be a train wreck. Very quickly we found out we were mistaken which was a pleasant surprise. This restaurant had some of the best Mexican food we have had in a very long time. We typically eat tons of authentic Mexican when in the Boston area, and we were blown away with the food here. Everything from the chips and salsa to the desserts were incredible. We bought tortilla soup, chiles rellenos, as well as enchiladas which were incredible. Everything was cooled to perfection and the sauces here was phenomenal. The icing on the cake was the staff. Our waitress was polite and helpful and didn’t judge us as we stuffed our faces. Moral of the story is don’t judge a book by its cover and yes, there is great Mexican food in the middle of NH.
