Aaahhh… my favorite place for lunches! Ham and cheese or the meatball are my favorites. They should branch out to other places in the Lakes Region (Wolfeboro!) and should also have an ice cream window — closest place for ice cream down that way is Center Harbor — I bet they would make a killing!

Jo Jo’s has anything and everything that could ever satisfy your pretty little tourist/​camper/​boater head. From bottles of wine and local microbrews like Dogfishead to fresh deli sandwiches, salads, and muffins; Jo Jo’s has the market advantage. And I do mean that literally– things are a bit expensive. But they are located on the Moultonborough Neck Road, right over the bridge to Long Island on Winnipesaukee.. . they can basically charge what they want to. If the occasion to buy a box cake mix and some frosting arrises, you will be able to rest assured that Jo Jo’s can supply what you need.
They employ mostly college and high school kids home for the summer and the atmosphere is pretty laid back to begin with, so you’ll find this a nice place to grab some grub for your weekend excursion on the Lake. I mean, their trademark phrases are, «A country store with attitude,» and «Damn good subs,». .. That pretty much says it all.

Let me first say yes this place is a little over priced. However what Brian D. doestn’t understand you are paying a little extra for convience. The closest store other than JO JO’s is all the way in Center Harbour. The subs are excellent, made with their special sub roll. I enjoy the Italian, steak & cheese and meatball. The large subs are around 7 $ and filled with plenty of meat. I also like the muffins, they dont wow me but very solid. The meats and sides are good too. I enjoy this place ever summer!

Been stopping at this place on my way to the lake since I was 1 year old. Now I’m 30 and still insist on stopping for a sandwich from the deli and one of those amazing whoopee pies they make.

Over priced! Steak tips which are actually strip’s are $ 11.99 lb way over priced! Go to bj’s and you can get the same cut of meat for $ 4.99 lb.

JoJo’s is the best. Great friendly service, good food and more. try the Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad and the garlic bread — baked fresh. Only downfall is it is not open year round but they are extending the season. :-)

Under new ownership! Seems Russ & Barb sold the place to the local grocery store (Heath’s) but kept the same summer employees, rights to recipes, etc. Finally went back in after 3 years of boycotting, got a #6 on a bulkie (with no tomatoes) and it was delicious!!!
Three cheers for JoJo’s under new ownership!!! Same great quality food, same smiling employees, none of the hassle!

Jo Jos is a local favorite of ours that we frequent every summer. The deli counter has really great pre-​made food/​salads, as well as delicious meats. The marinated teriaki chicken breasts are one of my favorites, and the cole slaw is the best in town (not too mayo-​packed). I also like the chocolate chip muffins which are huge and (though a tad dry) quite tastey. It’s a great place to pick up lunch/​dinner items or ice and drinks last minute. Highly recommend giving it a try!

A Lakes Region hot spot.
Best sandwiches, EVER! Unbelievable butcher shop, great selection of beer, fresh pies from The Pie Guys and of course there are always a basket of delicious whoopie pies at the register.
The subs are worth the wait, and you will wait, and wait. They even have a little poem printed out at the sandwich counter telling customers to get over themselves and dig deep for a little patience. This is not some crappy subway you can get in and out of in three minutes. The subs are awesome, and made fresh to order.
Try the Italian and the meatball with provolone, crazy good.
Don’t speed out of the parking lot or coming down the neck. The police love out of state plates and sit in the fire dept lot next door.
