True Value Hardware & Paint

Great place! Mound true value is a «True Asset» to our community. I have lived in mound for almost 10 years, and have been in the store so many times I can’t even count. Every problem I have come up with they have been able to resolve, and every part that I have needed they have been able to find or order. They provide excellent service on a consistent basis. Every employee is helpful, insightful, and willing to help whenever needed. In the summer the garden center has a great assortment of plants, in the winter they have wonderful decorations for Christmas, and throughout the year they have a wonderful assortment of gifts for the gardener in your family. When I have had the occasional oops with a product, they are always willing to make it right, I truly appreciate that they take the time and attention to resolve whatever the issue might be. We have been remodeling our house throughout the past 10 years, I have purchased all of my paint from them, they are very knowledgeable about product, color and use of the paint products that they offer. «Great job!!!» to the gals and guys at true value.

My teenager and I were standing in the main aisle and I wss listing off to him the things we were looking for. When I walked down the aisle I going to search, there stood an employee holding everything that I had just listed off to my son.
Service just doesn’t get better than that!

Love love love! Since moving into our super fixer upper of a condo 10 months ago, we have been to this True Value many times per month, week and even in the same day. The staff is so helpful, especially Dallas and Sam! We have always found what we need, and the prices are right! It’s seriously a blessing to have a hardware store so close when undertaking such a daunting renovation. They know us when we walk in, and there’s just something so small town about the way I feel when I’m there.
Also, they have a bike section which is so helpful if you’re on the Dakota Trail and something goes awry. I bought a bike multi tool here and it’s been a huge help when I’m biking.

Local hardware stores are a wonderful thing. We used to live in South Minneapolis and frequented Settergren’s Ace Hardware at 54^th and Penn. That place is wonderful but I was actually back in the city a few weeks ago and stopped in at Settergren’s for something and realized how much better the Mound True Value is. Someone’s always ready to help you find what you need. The store is neat, clean and easy to navigate. They have anything you could possible need. The garden center is a nice new (er) addition. Oh and the free popcorn is a great bonus.

We love this place. If we need something and don’t want to run into town, we can always find it here. The staff is very knowledgeable and always very helpful.
